Au centre même de Bayeux, ce gîte lumineux et très calme est un véritable havre de paix. D'une superficie de 100 m2, il permet d'accueillir 4 personnes qui pourront se retrouver sur la terrasse et profiter des nombreuses activités qu'offre la ville de Bayeux. Les enfants sont les bienvenus et pourront profiter du jardin tout en restant sous les yeux des parents.

Vous trouverez également à l'extérieur en plus de la terrasse un barbecue et un jardin pour animer vos soirées. L'intérieur répondra également à toutes vos attentes, vous pourrez y trouver :
- 2 chambres, l'une avec 1 grand lit double et l'autre avec 2 lits simples
- 1 cuisine américaine entièrement équipée
- 1 salle de bain avec une douche et des toilettes séparées

Great place to explore Normandy from

Well located for walking Bayeux, and driving to Normandy’s many highlights. Great space for a family. Washer and dryer were a plus. Had a lovely time there.

Great 2bd room apt in great location

Family loved our stay in Bayeux and this property. Walking distance to great restaurant and our D-Day tour pick up. Perfect location for a couple/few nights exploring the Normandy area. The cottage was clean and Damien was a great host.

Cozy stay in a wonderful location

We really enjoyed the cottage. It was spacious and relaxing. The location was excellent, within easy walking distance of everything in the city center. We would absolutely stay here again, if we make it back to Bayeux in the future!

Cute cottage - close to restaurants and shopping

The location is perfect- walk to most areas of Bayeux with ease. Well kept and nicely furnished! The bottle of cider was unexpected and much appreciated! Some challenges with initially finding the location- our host responded and let us in. The washer and dryer were absolutely beneficial!

A modern, comfortable cottage in a perfect location!

We absolutely loved staying in this charming cottage steps from city center Bayeux. Damian (our host) was very helpful and attentive. Bayeux was the perfect place to stay to see the Normandy beaches (which we did), but we also loved walking around the charming town of Bayeux. It was an all-around wonderful stay. Thank you!

Valhalla Cottage

We were very comfortable staying here. It was clean and very convenient to the center of lovely Bayeux. Parking was very convenient as well. The photos on the site are a little dated. The inside is the same, very nice, with the exception of the couch, but the outdoor furniture hadn’t been painted recently (not a problem for us on a cool and rainy weekend in April). We really enjoyed staying there.

The cottage exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spacious, the cottage was equipped with all necessities, we had ample parking for our rental car and stores, restaurants, etc were all within walking distance. It was a pleasant place to stay. The location was great and the unit was clean and had everything we needed. The unit does have an interior staircase that could be a challenge for people wit by mobility issues. We would definitely stay here again.

The property was as advertised. Quiet, clean, spacious with a well appointed kitchen. Friendly, communicative host with a welcome bottle of cider. This is my second visit to Bayeux and these accommodations exceeded my expectations. I would definitely go back.

Great location, missing details

This is a great location, easy to walk anywhere in town, beautiful view of the cathedral. Beds were comfortable, we appreciated access to laundry machines, but the dryer doesn’t dry well, like most you’ll find in Europe anyway. Families with young kids will find games and books, etc.Be aware this property is colocated with the owner’s residence, with a separate entrance and space for you, which isn’t clear in the listing. There is a padlock to lock your door when you leave, but there’s not an easy way to lock yourself in at night- count on the door that locks the courtyard, which seems very quiet and safe. It’s possible to lock your apartment door from the outside and go around to another door to get back in. Damian was very nice; we would have appreciated more info before arrival, with details about how to check in, parking, and local recommendations like other VRBO hosts we’ve known. For example, we didn’t have coffee in the apartment, and it would have been great to know what might be recommended nearby - the only ones we found didn’t open until 10.

I'd Give This a Higher Rating if Manager Would Refund $

Overall, this is a nice place. However, I'd booked this place for 2 nights (roughly 6 months in advance) and later told that the place was only available for the first night. I had paid for both nights, and I'm still trying to get a refund for the second night.

Not a Great Experience

As per my 24 minute recorded conversation with the VRBO rep, the proprietor was only interested in a 100% profit margin on the rental. There are many considerations …..safety being the 1 and then it goes downhill from there. The outside gate to the rental had a padlock but no installed light or even a street light. It was pretty tricky to navigate in the dark without a phone light. The owner mentioned there was no way to lock the interior door but that was OK as he was on premises. (Not a ringing endorsement for our safely.) No bath soap or gel or washcloths. Towels were almost rags.Toilet brush but no cleaning aids. No one was present during out stay. He was definitely elsewhere.

Bayeux Vacation Rental

The location was excellent and convenient. Lovely property. We have several concerns: 1) Check-in the owner should have specified to enter the gate and not the main door. We had to call for assistance. 2) There were insufficient toilet paper, paper towels, and towel. We had to buy supplies which should have been supplied. 4) No coffee filters. 3) Property owner was slow to respond when need to know where to park our rental property.
