The house was fantastic and the view was amazing! We had so much fun watching eagles and seals and porpoises! We ate at the outdoor dining table and watched the moon come up over the Hood canal. The rooms were spacious and there were plenty of soaps, towels and shampoo! I would stay there again! Very peaceful and quiet but close enough to fun places! I loved the list of nearby hikes! We enjoyed ourselves so much!!
This house was just perfect for our family to gather, cook some meals together, let the kids play, and get some time in a kayak on the beautiful water. Great swimming weather during our week too!
Loved the property and the views. The home is beautiful. Only thing we didnât like was that blankets and other items were dirty and there was pet hair everywhere. The room also smelled like urine.
This is a beautiful home in a wonderful location, right on the water. The house is modern, spacious, clean, and well-stocked. We had 6 adults and 4 kids and there was PLENTY of room for everyone. The main floor is so spacious and made a great headquarters for playing games, eating, and enjoying family. The kayaks were so much fun as well. I would definitely stay here again!
Canât beat the location! If you plant to cook and eat in the house I recommend bringing what you need. The kitchen is not very well stocked gear wise.
Beautiful home and view is stunning. Location is peaceful and the lake is calm. We harvest oysters in the front.
*** HORRIBLE kitchenware. Everything is rusted, burnt, and doesn't work. I suggest bring EVERYTHING you need to cook with as well as your own coffee machine.
We spent Motherâs Day weekend on a family trip here and LOVED the location and the size and makeup of the house overall. Eagles and seals were out all weekend and the beach was gorgeous. Really great spot for a large group wanting to relax together. Lots of seating inside. Decks on every level, and every room except the bunk room has a view!
There is no place to unpack or hang clothes in the rooms or bathrooms though so expect to live out of your suitcase on the floor. The entrance to the neighborhood is also very steep, kind of an hairpin turn, and easy to miss. Be careful and vigilant upon arrival.
Overall this was a great stay and we would consider this house for a future stay.
This home is just beautiful. The location is heavenly. Was a great stay. I would definitely come back and gladly recommend to others. It could use a good deep cleaning (spider webs, human hair in corners, and dirty freezer), but then, so could my houseđ. I wrote several messages to the local Vacasa prior to the trip which were never answered, but it all worked out. Overall, a wonderful stay.
No Air Conditioning on 2nd floor where all queen bedrooms are
The listing is misleading when it says air-conditioned because there is only one wall unit on the main floor and one in the basement level. There is no air conditioning on the second floor level where all the queen bedrooms are located. Half of our group was uncomfortable in the evening and the screen doors were not in good shape, so the doors could not be left open. The views are incredible and the location was good.
This was our first time to come to Washington and chose this location to be close to a friend we were visiting. We were impressed with the house. It was spacious. The beds were comfortable and clean. We slept great.
We enjoyed the wildlife with the bald eagles flying overhead all day, the seals and dolphins in the water, and starfish on the shore when the tide went out. The kayak was nice to use but make sure to bring steady water shoes or tennis shoes as the barnacles and oysters are very sharp and will slice skin easily. Bring bandaids.
The showers are nice and hot and have great water pressure. Our only regret is that we didnât stay longer.
This house provided an excellent setting for a quiet weekend of puzzling, drinking, and listening to music. The waves lapping on the rocks directly below the bedroom windows was a peaceful sound to hear each morning.
The strong suit of this house is that it provides an excess of lounging space. Enough for 4 people to sprawl out either upstairs or downstairs. The main weakness was the dearth of cookware which was an impediment as my group cooked family-style meals every morning and night for 3 days.
Incredible views and a constant parade of wildlife
Modern property with breathtaking views from the main and upper floors. With available kayaks, ventured out to watch the otters, fish, and blue herons that frequented the cove. Donât forget to pack extras, the nearest grocery store was about 25 minutes away. Hiking near the property is limited; the home sits adjacent to highway 101. Out teens enjoyed the pool and fooseball tables, and my wife and I enjoyed soaking up the sun on the deck. The welcome basket was a welcomed touch!
Great house right on the water with a fire pit, kayaks, stunning views, a game room, big kitchen and 4 bedrooms. Only downfall was the house clearly hadn't been cleaned well (mess in the kitchen, house not vacuumed, dirty towel left over, clogged shower drain). I texted Vacasa multiple times but never heard back about sending someone to come clean.
The Brinnon beach house was a fabulous getaway for our three generation Fatherâs Day weekend! There were plenty of inside activities available during the rain with enough elbow room for fun, recreation, and/or quiet relaxation for everyone inside the three story home. Yet youâre a few steps away from seclusion walking on the beach, kayaking in Hood Canal, or a short car ride to hike in the Olympic Peninsula or dining in Brinnon.
One of my favorite times was sitting on the expansive deck watching the Bald Eagles fly by within a few feet, circle above the water, dive to catch their prey, and then fly a short distance to perch in the nearby trees. The home came with a small telescope that made viewing eagles and seals spectacular.
There was plenty of room for nine of us and our dog. The beds are comfy and thereâs plenty of hot water to go around in the morning, and the washer and dryer came in handy during our 5 day/4 night stay.
The regional property director, Leslie, was a great communicator. She responded quickly to my inquiries, and was extremely helpful in making our stay comfortable.
We enjoyed this beach house and area so much weâll be booking it again next year.
The views are amazing! Every day we saw bald eagles flying by and a few seals popping their heads out. Tons of water bids floating around during our stay. We loved the beach and sat in the sun for several hours on one day. Enjoyed a short hike and ate oysters and chowder at Hama Hama.
We did have a few issues and managed to deal with them without much disturbance to our vacation. The dish washer was full when we arrived. Not really a problem but annoying that we had to put things away. There was no propane in the tank for the bbq so we cooked hamburgers inside rather then on the grill. When we went to have a fire in the fire pit, there were no matches. There were two lighters but they didnât have any fuel. Thanks to the neighbors next door we got things going and enjoyed roasted marshmallows.
We really did love the location and it is a fun house! You canât beat the views in every room!
Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay. The layout of the house was perfect for our group of 9. 3 bedrooms upstairs and a bunk room on the main floor with 4 large bunks. There were 2 bathrooms upstairs and 1 on the main floor. Thereâs also a large downstairs area with a huge sofa and large TV.
The location is wonderful â I can imagine how fun it would be to kayak or paddleboard on a nice day.
With that said, there are some issues that should be addressed.
Itâs a very nice house but things are falling apart. Cleanliness was ok, but it hasnât seen a deep clean in quite a while. The kitchen was the main area of concern. The electric skillet doesnât work. The skillets for the stove are warped so barely work on the glass stove top. No cookie sheets. No glass wine or cocktail glasses â just plastic or metal. Only 6 bowls for dining. Thereâs no toaster. Just a toaster oven that barely works. 1 measuring spoon. Only 1 measuring cup. The dishwasher is about to fall out of its housing. The bottom drawer of the oven doesnât close. The paper towel holder is about to break. Bring your own plastic wrap, baggies, aluminum foil, or cooking spray.
It seems like the owners could reinvest some of their profits into addressing those items above â it wouldnât take much. But, for the price we paid, we expected a higher quality experience.
I would love to stay here again but will be packing my own kitchen stuff.
