We absolutely loved the home! It was so nice, clean and perfect for our family! There was plenty of space and had everything we needed. We will definitely be booking this home again, canât wait to go back!
This is a beautiful home with lots of space and was well stocked. Our party of 3 adult couples were very pleased. It was super easy and short to walk to stores and restaurants. Also the kitchen had everything necessary to prepare meals each day. Positively a great stay!
We had a family wedding at Mt Hood. I was looking for a place that would accommodate several family members including my 90+ year parents. The home was very spacious, clean and comfortable and provided the correct amount of space for the nine of us. It was also very convenient for all the wedding events which were held in Government Camp.
Terrific location, just blocks from downtown Govy and Summit ski area. Nice great room and kitchen to enjoy being family. Liked catching the Timberline shuttle at summit so we didnât have to drive to Timberline, which allowed us to ski back to Govy on the newly widened and groomed alpine trail. Nice beds and bedding. Check hot tub on arrival and immediately call property manager if water isnât clear. Will stay here again.
BEAUTIFUL home!!
We rented for a weekend, three generations (1year - 77 years old) and everyone was comfortable and loved the house. Once the house was ready we were notified that we could get in early if we'd like. When we were unable to get the lock open for the hot tub Vacasa support resolved the issue via text within minutes. Easy walk to store and restaurants. We would absolutely rent this home again.
We enjoyed our stay. The house was nice and easily fit 3 couples and 1 kid. The greatroom, kitchen, and dining area was nice for everyone to hang out, cook, and eat. The BBQ on the deck is large and works great.
The downstairs with 2 bedrooms and bunk beds is great including air hockey table.
Upstairs heats quickly and fireplace works great. The downstairs is difficult to heat without overheating upstairs. The single thermostat is upstairs. The hot tub would not go above 97, so wasn't warm enough to stay in very long
Itâs such a beautiful home!! I love the split level concept. Kids were downstairs in the game room while adults hung out on top. Plenty of space for 4 families and kiddos!
Cons:
-Water from fridge was not working, we had to go buy bottled water.
-Hot tub has no privacy and literally 1 foot from the back road which is pretty busy with cars and foot traffic. It was a bit awkward.
Pros:
-Spacious
-Beautiful view from kitchen and the open windows
-Clean
-Some toiletries provided
- walking distance to town
Overall home was beautiful and we loved our time there. We would give it 5 stars if it wasnât for the hot tub, but Definitely book it if you are looking for a home for bigger families!
We stayed in Government camp in the last few days of our trip around Oregon. The house was as described and very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the upper balcony for morning coffee. It was an easy walk to the grocery store and the choice of many restaurants. We highly recommend Huckleberry Inn for meals. (we lived on the homemade pie and pastries) Short drive to the iconic Timberline Lodge. A few recommendations: dryer did not work well. It took 3 cycles to dry clothes. (maybe clean lint?) Main floor could use window coverings. It was a bit unnerving to arrive and all doors were unlocked. Also, there was no "house binder" with instructions. There are many thermostats in the house. Turns out, some are for heat and some for heated floors. A binder with instructions would have been helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay at this very clean and well-supplied 4 bedroom Mountain House right in the heart of Government Camp. It was the perfect home base for our familyâs long ski weekend at Mt. Hood. The large open floor plan with living room/kitchen/dining room and tall wall of windows leading to a deck overlooking the view was a nice space for our family to spread out and relax. Once the snow started falling outside those big windows I was sold. Overall, great house but we had a big problem with the entry door keys and confusing mash-up of both a code-operated box for keys and a code-operated keyless lock. Who uses keys any more? There is no exterior keyhole on the deadbolt and the code to the garage door was not provided nor was there a garage door opener that could be put in our Jeep during our stay. So ⊠just a warning that it will be a big problem if someone in your group secures the front doorâs deadbolt before leaving through the garage door in their vehicle. We returned from a fun day of skiing and a special birthday dinner at Timberline Lodge to a front door on this house that we couldnât enter and we all spent about an hour outside in the cold and snow trying to get back into the house while calling VRBO for assistance. VRBO was eventually able to reach the owner who had to remotely open the garage door. The owner should provide the garage code to guests to prevent this from happening again in the future. Just change code between guests. Thanks!
We were four siblings and spouses. The house was great! Roomy, clean. A very nice house to relax in. Also great for games around the table or downstairs in the game room. The hot tub was great. The house is beautiful and we all enjoyed it a lot!
House was great. Kitchen was pretty well stocked. Just a couple things missing were wine glasses, a working can opener and a cookie sheet. Already booked a trip to come back again.
Wonderful location and comfortable stay! Would definitely stay here. My only feedback would be that there were a few things missing for the price of the property: coffee filters, shower accessories (soap, shampoo, conditioner). The hot tub lock was fairly tricky, got it open with some luck. Thanks for the stay!
