My husband, adult daughter, and I were greeted warmly by Nathalie and felt immediately at home in this artistic, well-equipped apartment. From here, you can walk everywhere and yet enjoy the calm, country-like ambience she has created. Highly recommended.
My husband and I spent a wonderful week in Nathalieâs charming place in the 4th arrondissement near Place des Vosges and la Bastille. Nathalie was a perfect host and she made us feel at home surrounded by her art work, her well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable seating area. The neighborhood has everything: restaurants, food shops, museums, proximity to the Seine and to the Marais, Centre Pompidou, and the Picasso Museum. We have been to Paris many times, but we would definitely return to her place on a future trip.
Nathalie was an excellent host. Very quick at responding to questions. She is located up a few flights of a spiral staircase. Her home is lovely and quaint with all the things you may need. She provides an excellent welcome kit. The bathroom shower has excellent water pressure which for an older building we were very impressed. Also water gets hot quickly. Toilet area is small. The neighborhood gives you a real sense of what its like to live in Paris.
This apartment comfortably accommodates two people who are not a couple. In addition to the double bed in the bedroom, Natalieâs office has a comfortable single bed, which allows for privacy. The living area is ample. We were quite happy with the arrangement. Renters should be aware that it is 3 flights up if there are mobility issues. It is wonderfully located, with lots of food stores between the metro and the apartment. Nathalie is a wonderful, responsive host!
Nathalie greeted us and showed us the apartment. The location is perfect. We were able to walk everywhere. Groceries, restaurants and two metro stops nearby. The apartment and beds were very comfortable. It felt like staying at a friends place rather than those sterile corporate run rentals. Kitchen was well stocked even though we ate out most of the week. Our last night we were so tired we decided to eat at the restaurant we could see from the interior courtyard. Fantastic! In the evenings you could hear the tinkling of glasses and conversation, jazz on Friday evening, which gave off a great ambience. They stop by 11 so you get the pleasant atmosphere without bothering your sleep. I would definitely stay here again.
Good location in the Marais, even though located on busy street. Easy to access places of interest, and food and dining establishments. The kitchen was sufficient for our needs, preparing most breakfasts and even Christmas dinner there. We stayed over a week's time, and we would have preferred to have had more accessible space for our personal belongings. Closets, shelves, and drawers were filled with the owners' clothing and other things. The toilet is in a separate and very small closet away from the shower/sink area. Renters should be aware that this apartment is in an old building with steep stairs, 3 flights up to the apartment. The owner was available and responsive to questions, and decorated the apartment attractively with her personal artwork.
My friend and I stayed in Nathalieâs apt for 11 nights this spring and had a wonderful experience. She welcomed us and graciously and promptly answered our questions when asked. The apt is clean and beds in separate rooms are firm with nice linens. Nice size bathroom and shower water pressure very good. Location perfect. Safe neighborhood with many grocery shopping options as well as restaurants et al. Can highly recommend. Be advised of third floor steep staircases when carrying luggage or groceries. A wonderful neighbor shared info of a great bar around the corner! Upstairs next to a fine restaurant. Has a small terrace and inside features a jazz group Friday nights. A lot of interesting locals. A real plus is very close to two metro stations. Very wonderful district and apt is well situated closer to the Seine. My
Nathalie is a talented botanical weaver and her apartment is full of her artwork which both beautifies and perfumes her apartment with a lovely scent. The apartment feels like a home, not an institutional vacation rental. The location is ideal for walking, metro (subway), and the #69 and #96 bus which are very handy. The Bastille Market (Thursday and Sunday), one of the best in Paris, is only a block away. Many great restaurants. The charcuterie Au Sanglier on the ground floor of the building is fantastic. Nathalie was prompt answering questions. The two beds are separated in real bedrooms and are very comfortable. My only caution is one needs to be physically fit to climb the three flights of stairs to the apartment since there is no elevator. I am over 65 and had no problem with the stairs.
Spent a week in Paris- this apartment was PERFECT. Great location, easy access to metro & shops. Nathalie was super kind and accommodating. Would def stay here again. FYI- toilet stall very small but worked fine. Great place to recoup after a full day of waking.
The owner was so nice and helpful. We enjoyed our visit so much. The location is perfect we were able to walk everywhere. Groceries and restaurants nearby. Would highly recommend, felt like a home away from home
This apartment was everything you would want in Paris: comfortable for three, true to a Paris ideal apartment; near to the Metro (Bastille & St. Paul), Ăle Saint-Louis, Centre Pompidou, and Pozzetto; surrounded by excellent bread, fruit, and prepared food shops, as well as Viennoiseries, supermarkets, and cafes.
The hosts are kind and receptive, the apartment clean and with all the necessities of a home, as it is one. Decorated with crafts and art, there was always something interesting to look at everywhere one looked. It is a second story walk up, and the w/c is separate from the shower/bath and sink, neither of which did we mind, as the steps were wood and the staircases beautifully arced, and the layout true to the era of construction for the building.
We would definitely stay at this residence again, we miss it already!
