Great Family Beach House

All the fun of Belmont Shore with great parking. The location provided beach access in every direction or a pleasant stroll to 2nd street for a tasty meal. An unexpected highlight was the ever changing ocean view outside the front window. And there was plenty of room for family visits and gatherings.

Great stay fresh and clean!

Short walk to the beach, they have really nice beach chairs and towels. The rental was very clean and had a new feel to it. Awesome to wake up and open the front shades to see what new ships were out the window. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice place

Close to Disneyland. Right on beach. Good location. Can walk to restaurants and things to do. We took a sailing lesson which was quite interesting and fun. Long Beach is a clean nice town. Would come Back.

Another Amazing Vacation

This is our second time visiting the property and once again, did not disappoint. We had a fantastic time, beautiful condo, clean, accommodating, plenty of room, wonderful weather, great views, walking distance to shops and restaurants and most of all....amazing hosts....we will definitely be back next year! Excellent Stay

My family really loved staying at Steve's place. The apartment had a beautiful view of the ocean and we kept the front shades up to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The apartment was well stocked with everything we needed. The back courtyard was really nice to sit in. All the rooms had TV's with all the streaming services which was great. Belmont shores was a great neighborhood, we got takeout from Roe seafood on multiple occasions and loved walking the beach in the morning. We would absolutely stay here again!

The good, the bad, the ugly

This duplex is spacious and updated, the couch is super comfortable. The location is fantastic. Near all the haps on the bay, lots to watch or do out front on the beach. The advertisement alludes to two parking spaces (shows an empty 2 car garage in the photos) however, the two spots are 1-squeezing into the garage where a personal vehicle of the owners is permanently parked, and 2- in front of the garage. This is only a problem if you are driving anything mid size suv and up. Also the downstairs neighbors park tandem in their space which further inhibits the capability of parking in front of the garage. I also got the impression that the laundry was private but it is absolutely shared. Downstairs unit has access to the garage, even though they can not park in there. The ugly-The entire unit has a smell. Rubber? Old canned tomato soup? I noticed it immediately! Others in my party took a day or two. We all developed coughs within days. We call coughed for even a week or 10 days after we left the location. As we were traveling for work, many of my clothes that were in the rental smelled for days after leaving the rental. I had to wash EVERYTHING as soon as I got home. Would I rent this place again? If I was just staying for a weekend-sure. Would I stay another 6 weeks. Not ever. To be fair, the owners were very responsive to all of my concerns. There is just something in the unit that is giving off a bad smell (I think its the plank flooring).

Owners response - First off, the garage is narrow, the garage opening is 14'6" which is a foot and a half smaller that what is built today. Our parking instructions point out that one vehicle needs to be backed into the garage, and one vehicle can park behind the garage. We can accommodate a full size Chevrolet Tahoe in the garage. The above person initially backed into the garage, and after a week pulled straight in with a Toyota Prius . When the guest complained about the smell, I immediately went over to the unit to see what she was talking about. I could not smell anything, however my wife smelled the newly coated floor with Bono Floor treatment. We had just installed a new couch, and thoroughly cleaned the floor and put the Bono polish on it. The next day I sent my house keeper over to mop all the floors in the space.. At the time she reported back to my that the bathrooms were very dirty. I waited a week and sent her back to clean the bathrooms, as I thought that might be adding to the smell. The lady that gave me the above review only stayed in the unit for about 10 days, as she had rented another unit for some of her staff, and she switched places. We have been a premier host since 2018, and never had a complaint or this kind of review, so read our other reviews. The guest that immediately occupied the space after BrieAnna's staff moved out, commented how nice everything is. Just shows you, you can't always please everyone. but as a 5 star property we will continue to exceed our guests expectations!

Casita by the beach

Loved our stay by the beach. Clean and very cute. More than enough room for all 4 of our kids. Great location across from beach. Lots of shells. Close to amazing restaurants and our family. Would absolutely stay here again.

Belmont Shore at its best

Start to finish an excellent experience. Host provided coffee (and creamer!) as well as soaps, shampoo and conditioner - all the little things that makes arrival a breeze. The location and view can’t be beat. I hope to be back.

Home Base Location

This was a great home base location for our family vacation. The condo was clean and comfortable with all the kitchen accessories needed for cooking our meals. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping on 2nd street. Condo located close to paddle boarding activities and bike rentals Tip: take grocery bags to stores.

Great Vacation at beautiful property

Due to the size of our family, we frequently stay at VRBOs instead of hotels. This is *the cleanest* rental we've ever stayed in. The location was very convenient for our trips to Disney, The Aquarium of the Pacific, The Cube, Medieval Times, L.A., and even down the coast to visit various beaches. The beach directly outside the front of the property was family-friendly and very nice. It was so fun to see all of the boats coming and going throughout the day. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are nice, the kitchen is well-stocked, and the water upon arrival was a lifesaver when our Walmart+ order got canceled. We heard the unit below us a few times, but overall it was very quiet and peaceful stay. Communication with Steve was easy, parking worked out well, and we had a fabulous time.

Location is perfect. Lots to do in the neighborhood and so many restaurants and bars to choose from if looking for nightlife. Amazing setup at the house and we communicated with Steve throughout the process of renting. He was awesome!! Will definitely be back when on the west coast. Thank you again.

Great access to ocean side beach and harbor beach.

The place was perfect for our family. The view out the front was perfect. The rooftop patio was used less than expected because its in the back and the view is of the alley. The place had everything we needed for a family with all ages.

Great place at the beach!

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed our time in LA. We did daytrips and went kite surfing which is right in front of the apartment. Location was perfect for us. Good size apartment and good equiped, we had everything we needed.

Everything we wished for

Highly recommended, everything was in perfect working condition. Very well stocked with all needs. Restaurants are a walk away, beach is across the street. Property fully modernized with new appliances and all LED ceiling lights that are dimmable. Very nice property.
