If you are looking for a peaceful escape into the mountain pines, this traditional cabin is the place for you. Host Michael is friendly and helpful. The rustic location is quiet and off the beaten path. The cabin has cozy, low ceiling, a full kitchen, and a gas fireplace.

Mountain escape

Nestled in the pines and aspen, this cabin was everything we had hoped for! Clean and cozy, with full kitchen and grill. The location is beautiful, and within 20 minutes of great hiking. We were lucky enough to see deer, a fox, and a moose with her calf! We are already talking about when we can come back!

Colorado Gem

We had an amazing experience with our stay! The location is wonderful - easy to access and remote enough to feel “off the grid”. Micheal is wonderful and a gracious host. We loved seeing all the wildlife and having peace and quiet. The kids loved exploring and making a wood teepee in the forest. Great times were had by all! The shower had amazing water pressure and the drinking water was tasty! Highly recommend for those seeking a getaway in the beautiful Evergeeen area.

I can’t remember if there was a note about the steep stairs going down to the cabin, it wasn’t a problem for us at all, but just in case future guests have issues.

Iffy over 60. If you are in good shape stairs are not a problem, if not can be a workout.

Property was very accurately described. Owner is responsive to questions. Saw many deer and elk in the area. Beautiful area and Evergreen is a wonderful town. For dog owners there are several neighbor dogs roaming freely.

Charming cabin in a beautiful forest.

We loved staying in this rustic but very clean cabin and our 5 year old especially loved the loft. The forest was peaceful and beautiful. Lots of great hiking trails within a short drive. It may be helpful to know that while this cabin does have two bedrooms (one is bed off to the side of the dining area), they are not separated by a door. This made it a little tricky for our baby to sleep since we were all essentially in one big room that could not be closed off to limit noise. The host was very helpful and we loved that we could clean the cabin upon our departure in order to get the cleaning deposit returned.

Cozy and cute

The water seemed to be very low coming from the well. Couldn't even feel up a glass of water. We used the drinking water from the deep rock in the bathroom. Other then this it is a very nice and cozy place to stay. Very easy to get ahold of property management, and they are very nice people! I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

Cozy, clean, very beautiful spot. Mama and spotted doe at our window one morning♡ shower pressure fabulous, hot water too. Decks heartily used morning and night, coffee n cocktails. Plenty of room and the windows in main room are magical for a photographer. I took a ton of photos. I actually, literally miss slipping into the soft, high thread cotton brown sheets. I stayed at Log Cabin a decade ago, I vow to not wait that long again! Big Love. Thank you.

Quiet and relaxing

We had a great time. Tiny little place in the middle of nowhere. We loved the serinity of being alone and enjoying all of the wildlife (loads of deer, fox, & moose). Beautiful setting close to tons of hiking trails and not to far from many other things to do. The drive from Evergreen to the cabin is up a winding mountain road about 20-25min which you quickly learn to accout for if you have plans to do anything. My husband, who is 6'2", wanted to make sure to note that if you are over 5'10" be aware of the low ceiling and low doorway clearances! The host was very communicative and there were plenty of clear instructions on what to do while staying and then when leaving.

disappointed vacation residence

not at all what we expected. the walk from the road to the residence was very, very steep. the ladder to the loft was not in the pictures shown on line, the oven door could not be opened all the way because of the ladder. the walk from the residence to the road was very steep and the railing was not fully secure. lack of privacy will using the bathroom was a really big issue. A stall door for a bathroom door is not acceptable!!!

Cozy and beautiful

This cabin is beautifully kept, clean and all around adorable. It is exactly what you want for a romantic getaway or just a couple fun days in the woods with privacy. Michael was great to work with, he gave me a call right away after I e-mailed him asking for help booking. The cabin is quiet and easy to drive to. The last mile or so is a little rough, just a couple of steep uphill roads. We made it with no problem though, we did not even need to turn on the four wheel drive. Besides, sharp turns and steep hills are something you will encounter anytime you're driving through the mountains, it should be expected for a trip to the woods. I absolutely loved the cabin inside and out. Our dogs loved it and although there are steps leading downhill to the cabin, this IS mentioned in the description and we had no problem making it up and down these steps. I expected worse, but it was not bad at all! It is the perfect location. I called Michael and asked for batteries for the remote and he was there within five minutes and was happy to say hello to our dogs. Clean the place up and you will get your $100 housekeeping charge back. I thought this was so nice, a lot of people charge crazy amounts for cleaning fees on this website but the owner is VERY reasonable and I got my refund a couple hours after we checked out. I cannot WAIT to stay here again for longer, I'm sad I could only stay for one night! If you are looking for a 100% wood log cabin nestled in the mountains, this is it! Michael will send you paper work once you book the cabin with detailed driving instructions, pet policy, among other things you need to know. Cabin has EVERYTHING, clean sheets folded with a note, dishes, dish soap, sponge, clean towels, board games, movies, DVD player.. we brought all of these things and next time we know we will not need it! Breath taking , literally

This stay was amazing and a beautiful little property with a rustic feel. We really enjoyed our quick stop and wish we had more time . The only surprise was the trek up to the cabin, and that is not a bad thing, it’s beautiful at the top !

Perfect getaway

This is such a pretty & cozy cabin for a nice get-a-way. Hubby was just remarking when we returned home how quiet it was there. Our puppy had a wonderful time and I expect some adjustments to normal life after her nap.

Cozy and peaceful

I stayed here instead and explored Alderfer/Three Sisters, and O’Fallon parks, beautiful scenery and wildlife. Went to a concert at Red Rocks. This was a much better experience than going into Denver. Michael was very attentive to any questions.

It was a rustic and cute little place.

.overall we had a good experience. I think you should for worn people about the stairs outside. My sister in law ended up leaving because of the stairs. Bad knees.

Great Place in the Woods!

The cabin was exactly as advertised. Up in the beautiful mountains of Evergreen. It was very clean, and was just what we needed to immerse ourselves in the breathtaking landscape of Evergreen. If you want to camp in the mountains of Evergreen but prefer to have the basic creature comforts then I highly recommend this cabin. Michael, the owner and host was very accommodating and allowed us to check in early. It was the perfect place for me and my family.
