This was our second visit to the property and it was just as great as the first visit. Perfect location just off Slaughter Pen trails. Great garage for storing and working on bikes. Great amenities in the house. Host is great to work with as well.
Our 2 adult children & spouses with 4 grandchildren for a family adventure. More than enough space & privacy for everyone. We loved the deck for coffee & evening game time. The stairs were carpeted which was nice with little ones. Very near downtown Bentonville and walking trails. Neighborhood was quiet & little traffic.
We enjoyed spending Thanksgiving at the Almand House. There was plenty of room for our family of 11 and it was in a good location. We had a little problem with the oven but the host was quick to respond and provide a solution. I would recommend this property for a large family with kids.
Home was well clean, comfortable, and well appointed. It is deceptively big for how it looks on the outside. Close to the bike trails we were able to ride out of the neighborhood and onto Tristan's trail to access the Slaughter Pen Trail System. Close to a grocery stores and lots of the local bike shops.
Has a nice big bike rack in the garage and a repair stand. One thing I would change his having a floor pump or way other way of inflating bike tires for those flying into town that don't want to check a large pump.
Rented this house for my sons wedding. The entire wedding party stayed in this spacious house. It was PERFECT. The property manager was so easy to work with. I would recommend this house.
Our extended family stayed here for the U of A graduation. The home is very well-appointed with kitchen and bathroom supplies. Very clean and perfect place to hang out and visit. We spent a lot of time in the family/kitchen area. All loved the pub feel of the lower level and plenty of sleeping space. Perfect week!
Family wedding in Rogers so we needed a fun place to stay in between wedding weekend events. This place totally provided what we needed. We were somewhat disappointed we had to pay for the video game at the house since that wasnât something I saw disclosed, but we were outside mist of the time so it wasnât that bad. I highly recommend this fabulous home.
Nothing quite like a short-term rental exceeding one's expectations. Our group of seven adult slept comfortably on this nicely appointed three story house.
As mountain bikers, our first great impression was the professional grade 10 bicycle rack and large garage to work in. The cycling decor welcomed us.
Plenty of bathrooms for all (4 full bathrooms + 1/2), spacious main living area and outside decks.
Location was so great we rode to the trails three out of the four days we were there.
This was a beautiful home and I would use it again while in town for family gatherings. Beds were very comfy! TVs everywhere!!! But so technically advanced that my group (except for those in their teens and twenties) couldnât figure out how to use them. There was no key upon arrival but I called the host number and was able to use access through the garage (which was probably better than having a key). The dryer door didnât shut securely but we were able to figure out a way around that too.
Overall a beautiful home that was clean, in a great location and large enough for a very large family. I would vacation here again.
Everyone having our own room was phenomenal! Kitchen and mutual spaces great! Game cost money, not free and not advertised as such. Perfect location for so many attractions- mt. Biking, museums, etc.
Hot tub for a week was wonderful (but with no tester or chemicals wasnât good.) Outside deck with TV was fun, with a great grill. . Construction next door not good. Master bathroom was top notch! The bed wall same as air conditioning unit. (on outside.) was way too noisy. Hopefully fixed by now. Overall a wonderful week!!!
My husband and I booked this house for our wedding weekend, so our friends could all stay together the night before our wedding. Before we even arrived at the house, we were being harassed by the owner, Joyce. She messaged us and said that we needed to send over our credit/debit card information for any potential damages, even though we had already paid in full. We called VRBO, and they told us to never give this information to a host, and that we were already fully paid. I responded nicely, explaining the situation hoping to clear up any issues. She continues to threaten to call the police on us, kick us out of the house, and guilt us, still all before evening ARRIVING at the property. We followed every single rule on VRBO, and she messages me the morning of my wedding as we are getting ready saying that she is going to kick us out and said she was âdisappointed in meâ and that I âwasnât being truthful.â My husband called her to explain that we had done nothing wrong. We never broke a single rule on the VRBO listing, yet we had to spend the entire weekend arguing with this woman. I now have a friend renting another property from Joyce, and the exact same thing is happening. She is threatening to charge an absurd amount of money for damages before they even get to the house. Joyce, you are in the wrong business and need to stop harassing guests. I am so disappointed in you.
Youâll get to this property by driving up a winding road to the top of a wooded hill. There is no backyard or side yard, and limited parking on a steep driveway. The house is kind of hanging off the backside of the hill, up on stilts. (This is important to note if you have people who like being in the yard outdoors, or if you have kids who want to play in the yard because there is no yard.)
There is plenty of room inside, though. Lots of closet space and storage space. The main bathroom/shower is HUGE. Most of the closets are big enough that you could even put an air mattress on the floor for extra sleeping space.
One more note on location: while this house is close to the bike trails, youâll probably have to load your bike onto your car then drive down the hill. While you could bike down the hill, itâs a winding road and made me a little nervous to use except in a car. And if you bike down the hill, youâll have to bike your way up. And that is ROUGH!
Bring activities like board games if you plan on hanging out at the house for long times. But if youâre in town for the biking and hiking trails, art venues, the Walmart museum, or good food then you wonât be spending a ton of time in the house anyway! There are lots of things to do in the area and groceries/food/drinks nearby. The closest Walmart Marketplace is .8 miles away (a 4 min drive to 1400 N Walton Blvd) and extra convenient if you do a grocery pickup.
While some paper products are there, itâs a limited supply. Youâll want to bring (or buy) more toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, and napkins.
The owner is very flexible and helped us recover a baby blanket we left behind, which was very appreciated!
All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much!
We had a nice family get away to Bentonville for New Years. We were disappointed we had to cut our stay short, but the owner/property mgr were so understanding due to the inclement weather. Beautiful and spacious indoors- great room for our family that all joined. Great porches too with an outside TV- great for bowl games. Also they had a few kid toys- which our kids loved.
Only recommendations: more seating in living room and more kitchen utensils/plastic wear for kids/pans etc.
Overall- highly recommend! So great and easy to deal with and beautiful updates inside.
