The house is clean and comfortable and filled with sounds of the ocean. We loved greeting a seal on the rocks right in front of the house in the morning and enjoying gorgeous sunsets every evening. A perfect place to enjoy Poipu. My only recommendation would be that it would’ve been fun to have some toys for the pool and chairs to take to the beach, and perhaps a boogie board and wagon? But we loved our stay- it was the best house we’ve ever stayed at in Poipu we would definitely return!

This property is in a great location relative to any activities on the island and is in a relatively quiet spot. The house is always clean and well maintained and the grounds look better and better each year. The Garden Island team is always helpful and great to work with. Would recommend using them for any rental you may be looking at. Would recommend this house to anyone but would also like it to remain one of those "best kept secrets."

Beautiful home, great location. And great experience for our family, my in-laws, from Japan, my wife and myself. Also very courteous and prompt responses to any questions or requests we had during the stay.

Great week in paradise

Came back to Kauai for our group’s third time for a conference (but primarily a vacation). Our previous trips here we stayed at the conference resort
..we definitely will be doing this house going forward. Amazing experience, comfort, convenience, and everything we needed. Thank you so much.

Ocean front with great views

Property was ocean front with expansive views and a nice fresh water pool that was deep. Location was great except home is a few feet from the road and it could get loud while trying to sleep. The home was spacious but dated. Overall I would stay again for the ocean views, pool and location.

Wonderful!

The location and layout of Honu Lani are superb. A short drive to everything on the south and east coasts and a short walk to Riptides or the Beach House Restaurant. The views are gorgeous and we snorkelled our front on calm days, surfed when there were waves. The house is well stocked with everything. Had such a great time, thank-you!

Absolutely stunning!

We were so pleased with this place. The house is large (we had a group of five), clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. The location is unbeatable. We had amazing sunrises as well as sunsets and we were able to watch whales breach while sitting on the deck. Would definitely recommend and would come back in an instant!

While there were only 2 of us, there is plenty of room for many more. It has the best stocked kitchen ever. We really appreciated the fans during the afternoons after spending time at the pool. The layout is perfect, the amenities plenty (great pool!), but the warm ocean breezes, the amazing view - all will take your breath away. The staff at GIR are super-quick at responding to emails and assisting with any problems or needs. It's a private home and there may be a glitch here or there, but, oh, that view makes up for any minor inconveniences. Now... how to return??

The pool is amazing and the location can't be beat! The rental company is VERY responsive to all inquiries, and really makes sure you are comfortable and enjoying yourself. The only negative would be that the house does not have AC so it can certainly get warm but there are ceiling fans throughout that help. HIGHLY recommend! We'll be back for sure!

Then the husband and I explored and we comically called it the house with 100 drawers. It is so well stocked you have everything except the groceries you will buy. Small town, lush, garden old Hawaii at it's best. Book early or you'll be disappointed because the home is so wonderful people return year after year. We truly enjoyed the home and will never forget this heaven on earth. NC & PP. Union NJPS The Night flying rose ringed parrots bedding down at sunset is very special.

You don't need to venture out very far for a great dinner experience. The house has all the pool and beach chairs, floaties, chairs and beach towels, so don't bring them. You will have to take a short drive if you want a sandy beach, but the pool experience makes up for the sand in your toes. Wherever you are coming from leave your worries behind. John & Collette

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were celebrating a special anniversary and wanted something "special and romantic". Honi Lani DID NOT disappoint. It was amazing! The home was beautiful, comfortable and clean; and the views were incredible. We had our own hideaway, ocean front, pool and breathtaking sunrises and postcard worthy sunsets. The location was great in that we were able to walk to Spouting horn, past the Botanical Garden on one end and to the Shops at Kukuiula, even to Poipu Shopping Village. We had quick access to everything we needed in Poipu. Honu Lani was equipped with everything we needed for a large family even though there were just the two of us. Jennie was fantastic to work with, took care of everything and there was a beautiful bouquet waiting when we arrived. When we had a glitch with the cable, she sent help right away. She made the process so easy and seamless. We loved every minute and hope to return. Mahalo!

Reviewer Comments: Honu Lani is not only heaven for turtles, it's the perfect place for us to unwind and enjoy the peace and serenity this oceanside haven offers. The never-ending variety of the waves just beyond the inviting pool and manicured lawn are a delight to relax and watch as the sun moves through the sky. I'll never forget them. We found everything we could possibly need in the airy, well-appointed kitchen; and especially enjoyed the octagonal table that mirrored the very unusual, expertly crafted octagonal ceilings. The cleanliness and amenities provided made us feel right at home and made us feel truly cared for. The beds were really comfy and we slept like babies listening to the surf. No stress! Besides just enjoying Honu Lani we also explored the island and had wonderful dinners at the Kauai Island Brewery & Grill in Port Allen and The Beach House in Koloa. We also enjoyed a current movie at the vintage cinema in Wailea, and an unforgettable sunset dinner cruise to view the Na Pali Coast. The Aloha spirit is truly evident in this property and I will certainly recommend it to everyone I know.
