Welcome! I’m so glad you are here and found our listing for our vacation home that we have named the Third Coast Hideaway  (a.k.a. TCH). This 5 bedroom. (1 King/5 Queen Beds), 4 bath, contemporary, ultra clean, private home is a lifestyle destination in itself but it ALSO has the MOST Ama-Z-iNG LoCaTion! This is a fabulous beach/lake/town summer vacation rental. You will get to experience the envious lifestyle of a stylish Saugatuck-Douglas vacation homeowner.

After taking many myself, the key is to provide everyone their own space, to explore the area as they want, yet come all together for things like a meal or a group sailing excursion. A FIGHT SQUASHER! Big families/groups of all ages can do what they individually want, whether it’s by foot, bike, Interurban, water taxi, or kayak. No need for a car. It’s normal and very healthy to venture out separately  (individually or by family) and then all come back together for dinner.  Plus, there's a lot more to talk about! #TCHPriceless

TESLA: Use of our TESLA 60 Amp electric car charger located in the garage, extra cost, availability not guaranteed but there are multiple city options within walking distance. 

2 KAYAKS/4 BIKES/TOYS: Lots of toys to use free of charge.

BEACH GEAR: Beach chairs, rolling hard cooler, soft cooler, beach umbrella.

DRIVEWAY PARKING: Can park around 4-5 cars on driveway depending on size.

SCREENED-IN PORCH: A favorite place in the house that everyone loves with a long 10’ Restoration Hardware table (seats 10)  and 2 separate lounging areas, a dream spot for summer evening dinners and peaceful morning breakfasts.

FENCED-IN YARD: You get to RELAX and sip your coffee/wine in the screened in porch while the young children can explore the lockable fenced in yard area. (This area is just a portion of the property next to the screened in porch.) This feature alone is worth choosing TCH! You can be busy in the kitchen and your kids can be running around in the backyard without having to be worried! Your kids will be ecstatic at their newfound freedom and you can enjoy that cup of coffee or actually close your eyes to soak in the sun without a care in the world. #TCHPriceless

LAUNDRY: There is a washer/dryer located in main level for your use. There is also a laundromat w/in walking distance and will pick up and deliver.

BABY/KID FRIENDLY: We have you covered. Lockable, fenced-in-yard, 3 installed retractable baby gates, high-chair, highly rated Babyletto Mini-Crib w/thick mattress, sheets, pad and crib bumper, toddler bed guards, kid cups/bowls/utensils and safety items.

NO CAR NEEDED!  Low-cost Interurban shuttle service will transport you and your group door to door, fast, and $1 each!

Dream Location: Explore on Foot: 5 Star Location!!!  One can grab the car to go golfing and everyone else isn’t left stranded! You can walk, bike, canoe, kayak or Interurban everywhere.

Dream Location: Explore on Water: Catch the Water Taxi down the block or by kayak or canoe (ours or rented) to enjoy the natural area or even go to lunch.

Dream Location: Explore By Interurban Shuttle:  An on demand, year-round, really fun door to door public bus service for a $1 a ride!  No DWI’s or parking headaches. Perfect for your independent teen too!

Dream Location: Walk 1 song: to Coffee Shop/Bakery, New Grocery Store, Pizza by the slice (Teen-Pleaser), Bowling, famous restaurants like Everyday People Café, Respite Coffee, Back Alley Pizza, Farmhouse Deli, etc. Bars with Live Entertainment, Salon and Spa, Yoga  Mimosa, New Library in 2020, Post Office, Parks, Bayou Park’s Dock to catch a water taxi (fun!), rent a canoe, kayak and more.

FAMOUS OVAL BEACH: Only 2 miles away. Car/Interurban recommended but also an easy bike ride. Shark- (& scary stuff-) free, enjoy the crystal clear waters of Oval Beach, ranked the 8th best beach in the world by Conde Nast! 

TCH Planning Portal: When you direct book with us, we set you up with your very own, fun TCH Welcome Portal to help you plan your vacation! You and your entire group will be able to access it anytime. You can see and make payments, detailed lists on what is currently in the house like kitchen items and beach gear, etc, local suggestions including fun itineraries, articles on how to make your vacation the best. etc. Just one of the many extra special touches that we do for you. We even encourage you to fill out our custom, private, questionnaire to help us make your stay even better.

Who TCH is for: This house is ideal for a group of  nice people, who understand that this is OUR OWN dream vacation home and  will take care of it like it is your own and the high quality place  that it is. We will do everything to make the place as enjoyable for  your vacation as possible and ask that you take care of it in return. You will be required to sign our short term lease agreement and house rules to confirm your stay. We  have neighbors that we care about and live next to long after you've  gone home. So, we want only renters that actually think it's a bonus  that the house has a no-loud-noise curfew from 9 pm to 9 am. For  our happiness and yours, we need to make that very clear that we do not  tolerate loud groups.
