Everything about this place is great. Itâs cozy, and rural, but still close enough to Albuquerque to pop into town and visit friends or shop. It is truly adorable, and has very comfortable beds and sofas. So relaxing listening to birds in the morning or storms at night. Very clean and nicely set up. The parking pad in the back is very nice too (no walking through dirt or mud!)
We were visiting friends who live in the same neighborhood. It was so convenient for us. The hot tub was relaxing, star gazing is beautiful, and itâs peaceful. We enjoyed grilling on the spacious deck. The only suggestion would be to have some comfortable chairs on the roof top deck so we can enjoy the sunset.
Our family enjoyed the location very much, putting us near great hiking, BBQ and a local market. The hot tub and grill/porch were great. Stargazing was beautiful.
I can't say enough about this house! Us three ladies enjoyed our time at your house! We loved the view of the area. The house has everything you can think of including a meat thermometer! We used the gas grill to cook dinner one night. The beds were very comfortable! Water pressure in the shower was awesome!
My best friend and I stayed several nights, it's just the right amount of secluded - quiet, beautiful, private, but minutes away from groceries and excellent pizza.
We had a relaxing string of days here, enjoying walks, the hot tub, and cooking.
Shawn was responsive to questions, and checked on us after check in.
This house is more than we needed, lots of room. And, the outside patio was large and decorated for comfort and plenty.
We will book again.
Thanks Shawn!
Had a wonderful stay with my family. Spacious and beautiful home had everything we needed. Beautiful outdoors, great for barbecues and relaxation. Thank you!
Loved being away from the city but with easy access. Beautiful views! ComfortAble place. Great communication with owner. Would recommend for relaxed time away.
What a nice cabin style home with plenty of room to roam and awesome patio hangout with hot tub. Great for families or friends to relax in and around Sandia Park. You forget you are in New Mexico.
My husband and I stayed for a couple nights for our anniversary! It was perfect! Lots of comfortable spots to sit and relax! Close to the Crest for hiking! Had everything we needed to cook our meals and grill! We would love to co e back!!!
This house was really cool; so many interesting seating areas inside and out. Kitchen was stocked better than any other VRBO I've stayed at. The stars from the rooftop deck were amazing. We could even see the Milky Way! We needed something and Shawn was very prompt with her response and took care of it immediately.
We had a wonderful stay. The house is very private and has many cozy places for reading and relaxing. We used the large outdoor patio every day and saw several deer. The sunset views from the upper deck were spectacular. The kitchen was the most well-appointed of any rental Iâve visited - which is great since there arenât lots of restaurants around. There is a washer and dryer and a hot tub - we used both. The house is about 40 minutes from Albuquerque and 75 minutes from Santa Fe. There is an open space nearby for walking. We will definitely stay again If we are in the area.
Stayed in early spring. It snowed and it was beautiful. Need 4 wheel drive in winter and early spring. House was comfortable with nice amenities. It would be great in warmer months. It has lovely outdoor facilities and beautiful views
Selected this place because it's near my mom's house. Three of us stayed here, and all of us (seven total) got together at the house for meals and generally hanging out. The house has lovely outdoor space (love the wood swing down in the yard) and a really nice grill, and lots of comfortable spots indoors too. Not shown in the pictures is a round dining table that we fit all seven of us around. The house is very well set up -- pretty much everything we went looking for was there, from pots and pans to folding chairs. Much appreciated the comfort and care and attention to detail here--as well as the really lovely setting!
We were in town for a wedding and didn't want to stay in Albuquerque so we branched out and decided to book a stay through Vrbo -- first time not going the traditional hotel route.
The house was clean and has far more amenities than we needed. Given the reason for the trip and time of year we didn't spend any time outside at the property but did walk around it. Seems like it would be great during a warmer part of the year -- looked lots of work went into the grounds.
The ceiling upstairs is low in many spots (kind of like an attic conversion ceiling) but it was fine. Did take a bit to get in -- door with entry pad is not the door we drove up to so we had to look around in the dark, and we did have a bit of trouble with the handle first 2 days but then figured it out (lift up, not push down, works every time).
We would go back.
This is a fantastic space and location for a getaway to recharge, be creative, or be a remote worker (super fast wifi if you need to do video calls). We stayed for 3.5 weeks and the enormous covered deck is where I spent 80% my days working while listening to birds and watching squirrels and rabbits run around. King-sized bed is COMFY. Enjoy the high-end hot tub while you stargaze. It's an easy 25-minute drive to Albuquerque. An excellent pizza place is about 10 minutes away with friendly and welcoming staff. We'll be back next time we're in the area. We're leaving fully satisfied but a little sad to leave!
I stayed 8 night in June. I worked part of the time and hiked a lot. I was a solo traveler.
WIFI - The WIFI works great! I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to work or work well. I had no impact workwise...attended and ran TEAMs calls with no issues. Worked outside in the mornings while it wasn't too hot outside. I had a deer join me one morning and a neighborhood cat another.
Sleeping - the bed is very comfortable. If you're staying during the summer, you may want to turn the AC/Swamp cooler on a few hours before bed to cool the room down a bit. Beds are upstairs. Stairs felt a little narrow (felt steep) so I held on to the rail when walking down. No issues. Just something to be aware of.
Homeowner - Friendly and responsive to messaging.
Cleanliness - cleanest house I've stayed in in the East Mountains so far. Property and home are very well kept.
Other notes: A lot of hiking options near by. Some restaurants close early and/or are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Something to be aware of when planning. Roots Farm Cafe and Greenside are my favorite in the area.
I would 100% stay at this home again.
