Lots of room. Houses four or five comfortably. Everything you need. Main area heats up slowly, (gas fireplace is main heat source for this area), but gets there in reasonable time, AND it is great to sit in front of fireplace! The instructions for the fireplace thermostat are on the inside of the cover of the thermostat on the wall. (NOTE: There are remote controls that appear to be for the fireplace, but they don't seem to work. Maybe batteries are dead? All changes to thermostat settings can be made using the controls on the thermostat itself. The thermostat is on the wall just to the left of the hallway going to the first floor bedroom.) Rest of the rooms are heated with individual thermostat controlled electric heaters that work well. Location is perfect for cc skiing!!! We were there during substantial winter snow (about 8 inches on top of base of a foot or so). Roads in the area were plowed and lightly sanded, but you'll need to be comfortable with driving on compact snow & ice.

Great property and wonderful times

We want to thank the owner for the wonderful time staying at the property. You really couldn't ask for a better place. It is clean and comfortable. It has practically everything you needed for cooking and relaxing. The location is close enough to all the winter acticities and most likely summer activities as well. We were pleasantly surprised that the kitchen even had cumen poder spice stocked. There was a Christas tree with lights and stockings set up, which added to the holiday season atmosphere so much. The kids enjoyed finding and tearing open their presents under the tree. The beds are comfortable. My wife who always complains about the mattress when we are traveling actually complimented how comfortable her sleep was. There is a bunk bed which the children absolutely loved. The house also has so much board games, card games, stuffed animals, books, tv, game consoles, and DVDs, that the kids were never bored when they were inside. The neighborhood is quiet. The roods are drivable even after a winter storm. The neighbors even pushed our trash cart to the side of the road on trash pick up day. For winter activities, Steven's Pass skiing, Leavenwoth, Wenatchee sno-Park, snowmobiling, are all within a 30 minutes drive, many are within 15 minutes. If we had to nitpick something, the grocery store that's 5 minutes away has a fairly limited supply of fresh fruits and vegetables. So if you plan on doing a lot of cooking, stock up at the Safeway in Leavenworth. Or east of Seattle if you are coming that way.

This home worked great for our family of 5. The neighborhood was quiet and had a great hill for the kids to go sledding. The town of Plain is so quaint, and just a short drive from Leavenworth.

Very nice with a few small hiccups

We only spent two nights in the cabin but it was very nice. It was very clean and spacious and the check-in process was very easy. However, the fire pit shown in the photos was nowhere to be found which was slightly disappointing. Also it was much farther to downtown Leavenworth than we had anticipated (although that is more our fault than the property's). We did get emails confirming our trip and informing us on the check-in process but there was otherwise very little contact with the property manager even when we asked a question. Still, it was a lovely little cabin in a quiet and somewhat remote area.

If you love quiet

This house in located in Plain WA. 13 miles outside Leavenworth, WA. So you were located away from the crowds and noise. Sized well for 4 adults and 3 children. Gas fire placed control the room temperature. Kitchen was perfect. We came with many of our meals precooked for Thanksgiving but we could have done more if we needed too. Great place if you like visiting Leavenworth but like a quite spot away.

Girls weekend

My mom and her three daughters got to enjoy a beautiful weekend together. The house was lovely and the area had stunning views. We were able to see deer, wild turkeys, and squirrels. It was peaceful and relaxing. I only wish there had been a normal coffee maker or that the listing had stated there were only pod related coffee machines.

Warm, cozy house tucked away in a sleepy pine neighborhood

We loved it!! Everything you could possibly think of was there furnished and ready to go for you. Just a short drive to Leavenworth to enjoy authentic foods and fares or staying in for the night and be able to cook a meal at home. It was perfect!

Comfortable and cozy home

We had a lovely time in this well-maintained and comfortable home. There were plenty of fun games to keep our family entertained and our boys loved playing in the snow and walking to see the nearby river. It is a truly beautiful escape and we had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. My concern is that just two doors away there is a confederate flag hung high (viewable from this home) and I fear not all guests would be welcome in this neighborhood.

Great cabin!!!

Great cabin away from main Leavenworth with all the amenities needed and have a great relaxing and peaceful getaway. Main Leavenworth is only a short trip. Will definitely come back. This is a great cabin with 2 bedrooms and 2 1/4 bath. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were very roomy. Has full kitchen, dining, living room and washer and dryer.

Great cabin!!!

This cabin is great. All the amenities you need are provided. Though you're about 20 to 30 minutes from Front street in Leavenworth, we really enjoyed being far enough for relaxation and peace and quiet. We came here with another couple, the 2 bedrooms were very spacious and we also had separate bathrooms. We plan on coming back.

Fun family getaway

Our family had a great weekend stay at the peaceful pines. Plenty of room for us all to stretch out, but with a cozy feel. Tucked away in a private wooded neighborhood, but a short drive (under 30 min) from Leavenworth for day trips. Thank you!

Relaxing and roomy

I stayed here on a girlfriend getaway. Lots of room. Great kitchen to cook in and loved the fireplace!! Great location close to Lake Wenatchee. We did go into Leavenworth for the day. Beautiful 25 minute drive. Not the cleanest house I’ve rented. Not great if you have pet allergies.

PERFECTION! tHINK i'M kidding. Read on...

I took my girlfriend and NOW we are getting married! That cabin was the BEST I have ever seen. It had everything and comfort was beyond words. Don't bring anything because it is all at this cabin, really! They even had a beautiful Christmas Tree set up. The electric state-of-the-art fireplace was on upon our arrival and the cabin was warm and ready for fun. It had an upstairs and downstairs and it was just the 2 of us so we stayed upstairs to sleep and watch movies along with other stuff. Just unbelievable how nice this cabin was from toilets to decor. I drive a Lincoln and have more than most and I say this because this cabin went way beyond my expectations. Neighbors used snowblower to get rid of the 6 inches of snow and a snowplow came later to do even more including the driveway. All people in the area were so nice and we will NEVER stay anywhere other than this cabin. I have given the owners permission to allow anyone to contact me that wants to hear more on the phone. We also took pictures that we can supply you. It was our 1st time and YES, I am 55 years old and I am getting married as a result of this cabin. I do not know or ever met the owners and this was our 1st time at this cabin. This place would sleep 6 people easily.
