Briarwood House on Mt. Hood- Peace and Serenity- Bike/hike/board/ski

This 2400 sq. ft. light, bright, modern, private home is nestled in the heart of Mt. Hood in Rhododendron, OR. With a stunning 1.5 acres of artfully landscaped gardens surrounded by forest, you can relax on the 600 sq. ft. deck, or bike, hike, ski and snow shoe the beautiful Mt. Hood forest. Hear the sounds of Clear Creek nearby in this quiet private neighborhood. The home is modern, clean, and beautifully designed with warm cozy beds, beautiful linens, and spa like bathrooms. The main floor features an open concept design that is ideal for hanging out that everyone can enjoy while making meals at the end of the day. Gas fireplace, flat screen television with cable, ROKU and wifi will meet everyones needs.

The modern kitchen features granite countertops, custom cabinets, and a fully outfitted kitchen. Large french press, pour over, and conventional coffee makers included along with large 4 griddle waffle maker. There is seating for 6-8 at the dining room table and an additional 6 barstools at the kitchen island.

The 1st bedroom is very private and relaxing with a queen bed and is situated on the main floor right next to the beautifully tiled downstairs bathroom.

The 2nd extremely large master bedroom is located upstairs with a beautiful Cal King Bed from The Joinery and a sitting area with views of the beautiful Alder and Fir Trees.

The 3rd bedroom is also upstairs, albeit unconventional, with four individual full sized beds installed in cozy custom built nooks - each with their own small shelf, lighting, and electrical outlets. Kids love this room and because the beds are full, they can also work well for adults. It is at the top of the stairs of the 2nd floor and considered a shared space for all 4 bunks - It's ideal for folks looking for a relaxed, fun, shared experience with family and friends. This "bunk" room also has a TV with Roku and a comfy couch for those looking to relax out of the main space. It's the perfect spot for the kids while adults are socializing downstairs.

There is another generously sized spa like bathroom on the second floor for the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms.

Large glass doors from the main living area open up onto a 600 sq. foot Iron wood deck furnished with lounge chairs and Adirondack furniture. From here you can take in the beauty of your private view of the gardens and the forest as your backdrop. There is a brand new Weber BBQ to use. A short walk from the deck will take you to a classic old school steel fire pit like you would find at a campground. We provide one bundle of firewood for use during your stay- you can easily get more from the grocery just 5 minutes away. Please observe all Forest Service rules regarding campfires. There is a hose bib near by for making sure your fire is out when you are done enjoying it!

Take a walk through meditation gardens and enjoy the raised garden beds beds and help your self to fresh herbs from the herb wall in summer! The Gardens at this home are stunning- it's like living in your own park- you may never want to leave! ;)
