This cabin is perfect. The views of the creek and tranquility of the surrounding woods make for a perfect location to relax for a weekend. We had so much fun looking for the gnomes hidden on the property. And the cabin is a very short drive to numerous trailheads and food options. We had a couple fantastic hikes and enjoyed a soak in the hot tub after. We will definitely be back!
We loved the location and the outdoor area, even though it poured rain our entire stay and we werenât able to use it, except for the hot tub which was great. Just our luck. The house is old but clean. Loved using the fireplace! We only have 2 complaints. The house smells very old and musty. The water smells horrible. When you turn on the shower, the house fills with the sulfur smell. Itâs disgusting. There has to be something that can be done about it.
This place is beautiful. So close to the river! Itâs amazingly peaceful and quiet. My only complaints are that the water has a very, very strong smell of sulpher because of the well, which is what they use out in the middle of the mountain! Also, someone really needs to sharpen the knives or get new ones. We had a great time, and will return!
This was the cutest property and had everything I needed to cook meals and feel relaxed. Sitting in the hot tub and listening to the creek was so amazing. Everything was comfy and clean and I will definitely be back!
My partner grew up in this area so it was a novelty for him to "vacation" here, but he still had a good time. I appreciated the thorough instructions for everything so there were no misunderstandings. It really was nice. My only suggestions would be to add cushions to the dining table chairs, we spent a few hours putting a giant Lego cat together and our bums got numb a couple times haha also something to fill in the space between the wall and the bed so u wasn't constantly fishing around for the pillows when they slid back there.
Overall a great experience and I would definitely come back!
We enjoyed our stay in the woods at this cute spot. It has a very nostalgic vibe with basic necessities.. I struggled figuring out the heat and hot tub cover, but other than that no complaints!
We did love this cabin, has many amenities and was comfortable. The one thing I would mark down as a negative would be how close it is to the road. Back of the house and hot tub were very nice with a slow moving stream in the back.
This is a lovely, cozy cabin. We did quite enjoy trying to find all the gnomes in the woods, and were amazed at the lack of invasive plants. It's truly a native plant paradise. The huckleberries were in full fruit, but we left them all for the bears and bunnies. We found the water to be quite hard, though, and would've appreciated knowing about that ahead of time. Luckily the Thriftway located nearby stayed open late, and we were able to get filtered water.
Overall the home was cozy, comfortable, and relaxing. The only hiccup would be the showers are small and not for tall people like my over 6 foot husband....but the hot tub with river views all made up for the Gnome size showers.
The sound of the river is amazing and are on the outdoor decks for several meals. Just that relaxing sound made relaxing so much better.

"This was by far one of the best locations I have ever visited. We are already planning a return trip when weather is warmer. The cabin is cute, and the kitchen is well stocked. I would not recommend spring visits with small children as the water is pretty rapid, but I really loved sitting out on the deck and watching the water. Location is VERY convenient (close to a small grocery store, liquor store, and several lovely food spots), but once you are at the cabin you feel very secluded. You could slightly view neighboring houses, but it felt very private. I would highly suggest Zig Zag cafe for breakfast, and the cantina next to the grocery store was amazing. Very close to Mt Hood nat'l forest and all of the amazing hiking there, and the hot tub was a blessing after some long treks."
Beautiful location with an amazing view of the river. Nice large deck with a hot tub. The inside of the cabin was cozy. It could definitely use some updates. The refrigerator is pretty old. Had an odd smell to it. And thereâs a few other things around the cabin. That could definitely use some upgrades. Also, thereâs no curtains on some of the windows and the windows donât lock on some windows. Which is very unsettling and I donât like that people can look in. Overall, itâs an OK cabin but the location and the view of the back River is amazing.
After a wedding in Portland, we did a quick trip to the Mt Hood area to get in some hiking and relax. We stayed at Moondance for three nights at the end of July. We loved the cabin. The location was very convenient for a lot of things we wanted to do.
The pictures and description in the listing were very accurate. There was a grocery store nearby with all the food and drink supplies we needed. There were plenty of kitchen supplies for our meals and the grill worked great. The hot tub was very nice after long hikes.
The only negative was the air conditioning. It was unseasonably warm. The listing said it had air conditioning. The signs in the cabin said there was no air conditioning. But, there was an AC unit in the living/dining room - just not in the bedrooms. You had to restart it often but if you did that it worked pretty good. The messaging for this was just a little off and confusing.
We loved the cabin and would definitely go there again.
Great weekend
Trouble getting in, had to call to get new entry code
Other than that it was great
Sound of the creek and a dip in the hot tub was very enjoyable
