NichĂ© sur les rives de la riviĂšre Salmon, notre mont rĂ©cemment restaurĂ©. Cabine Hood est assis sur un privĂ© 1/2 acre au milieu de la forĂȘt de croissance ancienne. A partir du moment oĂč vous sortez de votre voiture, vous ressentez le sentiment d'ĂȘtre loin de tout. Vos sens seront ravis par les bruits de l’eau, les images et les odeurs de la forĂȘt.
Notre cabine idyllique dispose d'un porche couvert complet avec une table Ă  manger extĂ©rieure construite sur mesure et des chaises Adirondack. De plus, il y a un patio couvert avec bain Ă  remous et barbecue Ă  gaz. À l'intĂ©rieur, vous trouverez une belle cheminĂ©e en pierre de riviĂšre, des murs en bois de pin noueux, une cuisine entiĂšrement rĂ©novĂ©e, ainsi que de nouveaux tapis, matelas et linge de maison.
C’est votre passerelle pour tous les aventuriers de votre choix: skiez sur les pentes, utilisez le systĂšme de sentiers de Sandy Ridge en vĂ©lo de montagne ou parcourez de magnifiques sentiers Ă  travers des forĂȘts anciennes. This is a great family vacation spot . Having 3 bathrooms with 3 showers was a real plus a group of 9. The location is near several family friendly hiking areas (Wildwood Rec Area, Zig Zag Falls, Mirror Lake). Government Camp and Timberline Lodge are a short drive away. A grocery store was a 2-minute drive away. The firepit overlooking the river was where we spent most of our time. This is a wonderful place to get away from it all. I would highly recommend this property

Thanksgiving getaway

The cabin was excellent and very comfortable for 6 adults and 3 kiddos. We were able to relax and enjoy our Thanksgiving, the cabin was inviting clean and we'll stocked. The outdoor for pit by the river was great experience as well..

A perfect mounting getaway!!

This cabin was absolutely amazing!! It was the perfect spot for a large group of friends to enjoy some wintery vibes and fun in the snow. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and so cozy!! The hot tub was the cherry on top!

What a gem

There's nothing quite like this place with its old-timey cabin feel, yet it's up-to-date with conveniences and cleanliness. It's close to town, yet feels so remote. This might be the perfect spot! We thoroughly enjoyed this place. The fire-pit by the river made it 100x more special.

Cozy cabin in a fantastic location!

The cabin is cozy and perfect for a long weekend for our family! It had everything you could need for your stay. The beds were super comfortable and the location was amazing. The stay was so restorative and it was lovely to be by the river. The kitchen was so well stocked and the fireplace was a place of communion. We ran into the problem of the power going out, but Vince was so quick to respond and help us solve the issue. This place is a gem and would stay again!

Serene Getaway

This was the ideal getaway for our active family of four. The location is simply perfect for completely unwinding and connecting with nature. We could stay at the cabin to sit riverside, play games, read, or just be. The location is convenient for hiking beautiful trails, kayaking, or visiting Hood River. The cabin was well equipped, comfortable, and spacious. Three full bathrooms was a plus! We will definitely come back!

Perfect getaway!

This place was beautiful! Great family getaway. I would love to do it again next year. Great porch with table outside, large table inside for all the games we played. Well stocked kitchen, I can’t say one negative thing about it.. well except if there were stairs down to the river— it was truly great!

Magical Moments on the Salmon River

This cabin was perfect for 7 ladies getting away for the weekend. It is secluded on a river with salmon running, with a hot tub, numerous bathrooms, fireplace, fire pit, wood stove, record album and plenty of beds and places to lounge. The host was excellent and it was just what we were looking for. I would book again and highly recommend .

Peaceful, beautiful, relaxing!

I travel for a living and am constantly around people, I had just come off a stint working 65 days straight and really needed peace, beauty and solitude....this place had it all and more!! It usually takes me a couple of weeks to recover after working a long stint, the 3 nights here rejuvenated me faster than I could have wished. I look forward to staying again!

Birthday Getaway

This cabin was such a dream! The kitchen had everything that we forgot to bring, which was super convenient. All the bedrooms were clean, spacious, and adorable. The hottub is super convenient and fit all 6 of us perfectly. I can’t say enough great things. I highly recommend and will absolutely come back.

Wonderful Salmon River Cottage

The cottage had a perfect amount of room for our 3 couples for sleeping, playing games, hanging out in the hot tub and sitting by the river. Nice kitchen set up for morning coffee and meal prep. One of our favorite activities was playing records, very fun albums to choose from! We hiked near Mount Hood and appreciated the proximity to good trails.

The best vrbo I have ever stayed at!

If you are considering this cabin for your trip - book it! It was clean and comfortable! The location was perfect for our ski trip! Located on a gorgeous river. Also located near many food options! Hot tub, fireplace, record player all really set the relaxing atmosphere we were looking for after a long day of skiing! If we ski mount hood again in the future we will definitely stay here again! 20-30 min from the resort! Absolutely perfect!

Such a cozy place! So well stocked - kitchen etc, and plenty of firewood. Lots of nice touches like cotton linens, cozy blankets, outdoor chairs etc. Covered porch was perfect as we had rain the whole time and we could still be outside! The hot tub area was even covered, we enjoyed it every night- fun with lights in the water. Kitchen drawers could use a bit of cleaning touch ups but that would be nit- picking. We will definitely be returning to this wonderful spot. 10 stars!

My stay was wonderful and this property is perfect! I stayed for a week with my elderly dog for a final hiking trip before his hip dysplasia becomes too much for him to bear. The home is located close to trails, offers a main floor master suite, a beautiful outdoor area, hot tub, full kitchen, plenty of space and is riverfront. My dog loved sniffing around and watching the river flow by. He easily napped on the porch when he has never liked sleeping outside. I enjoyed the quiet, the feeling of seclusion close to anything I needed and being able to truly relax. I’ve never felt more at home. There was a blue jay that stopped by daily as well as butterflies. Plus there were minimal bugs. Thank you so much to the host. I’ll be back.

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The surroundings are beautiful and very peaceful. The cabin is well-equipped and has everything you need! And what a nice, sharp set of knives. The water pressure in the shower is amazing, and the showerhead is nice and high — great for us tall Europeans.Some downsides would be that the cleaning isn't done properly, both inside and outside. There are lots of cobwebs under the canopy and between the windows and screens. Nothing in the cabin is level, like the fridge, doors, or the washing machine, which makes it so the door can’t stay open and it gets moldy. We would also appreciate having curtains in the living room and bathroom. But overall very happy!

This is a lovely cabin! The river-front location is amazing. Very private yet easily accessible. We traveled for a ling weekend away with 6 women - easily accommodated in the 3 bedrooms. It was amazing to have 3 bathrooms! The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. It was a great kitchen to cook in! This is a cozy cabin and it stayed lovely and cool with windows open in the summer (it has AC but we didn't need it). We spent tons of time on the gorgeous front porch which has comfy chairs and a great dining table too. The seating area by the river is great and you can get down a path to the river easily. We'd recommend this place and hope to stay here again!

Great quiet stay by the river

Super cute cabin to get away from it all. Right in the river too. We spent most of our time down at the fire pit by the river. The cabin is good too. One hundred year old property but well maintained and updated. Only tv is upstairs which is fine with us as we were not there for tv. Quiet area, but close to a few restaurants and a grocery store. Will for sure stay here again! Also, owner was very quick with responding back. Was construction on what looks like a new garage going on, but nothing was being worked on while we were there.

Place was great. If you plan on fishing, do it at dusk. Teenage son liked the record player. Wish it wasn't the dry season so we could have had a fire. Coming from the midwest, the lack of bugs was a welcome surprise.

Having grown up in Montana I have a great appreciation for the mountains and being outdoors. In the early 2000's I was living in Alaska flying bush planes where I met my future wife who also shares my love of mountains. She moved to Portland to finish her degree and I followed. We ended up settling in Portland and started a family! With two young kids we decided it was time to get back to our mountain roots and we purchased the cabin. We love coming to it year-round as every season has something to offer.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Simply put, it's awesome! I realized the moment I pulled in the driveway it was the one. I really didn't feel like I needed to see the inside of the cabin, the location alone was enough for me. As it was, the cabin needed some love and I have since carefully brought it back to life, while honoring its original features. It is truly a magical place that I love taking my friends and family for any reason and I think you will too!
