Flawed but great overall

Cons: Long flight of stairs to reach the elevator. Views are of neighboring walls. Construction sounds and neighbors’ conversations bled through walls. Living room furniture not designed for comfortable lounging. Pros: Meters from a Metro stop. Lots of restaurants nearby. Nice hosts. Pleasant environment. Washer/drier in unit. Lots of little amenities.Great choice overall.

Dommage.

Definitely going back!

We had a horrendous journey to Paris, and despite arriving more than 2 hours later than planned, Michael ensured we had a quick entry into the flat. It was a lovely place in a great location. We would definitely consider going back again.

This little appartement was perfect !

Michael was certainly the best host! Communication with him was easy, he always make sure to return emails and phone calls and came himself to open the door of the apartment. The place is very charming, clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, functional and centrally located. Situated on a pedestrian street, the appartement is steps away from the subway and city bikes. The description of the place correspond the the place. I totally recommend this place and would go back myself.

Everything you could ask for: a charming, well-equipped apartment in an excellent location.

This apartment is situated opposite a pleasant square, a stone's throw from the nearest Metro. There are plenty of bakeries and a very good supermarket (Monoprix) a few moments' walk away on Boulevard Sebastopol. The apartment itself is just as represented on the website: compact, cosy, well-equipped and nicely appointed. We stayed only 3 nights but there is such a clever use of space that you could easily stay here for much longer - plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space! There was loads of hot water, the shower is great, and the towels are very large and fluffy. Surprisingly, given the bustling location, it is very quiet at night. Communication was very efficient regarding our arrival, and the welcome was very friendly. Highly recommended: we would love to return again and again.

Excellente prestation

Great location & Most Helpful Host

I took my Mum (72 years) and neice to Paris this summer and wanted to rent a flat to "live" in Paris. This was my first experience on this booking site. I had inquired on some other rentals. Some people never got back to me and one person wanted me to send $ outside of the booking system. Michael on the other hand was very professional. He even took the time to call me personally in Canada to help me through the reservation/payment process and after departing my deposit was returned within a couple of days. Upon arriving, we were met outside and given a tour of the flat. It was great having a washer & dryer. The metro is right outside and the Monoprix shop (food, clothing, wine) is a few minutes away. During our stay I needed medical attention. As I do not speak a word of French this caused me some anxiety. I called Michael and he got me to an English speaking pharmacist (across from Monoprix). This pharmacist was fantastic. He gave me what I needed but was also willing to send me to an English speaking Doctor (also just around the corner) rather than the hospital should my condition have progressed. Finally, the day before departing I had difficulty trying to book a taxi online & Michael called the taxi driver and arranged our ride. (Tip.. if you like your driver from the airport, take their card). This apartment was as pictured. The building is quiet. When you first walk in the hallways are old but once inside it is very cozy. I cooked a lot and enjoyed the internet and music. I cannot say enough good things about Michael. As for the best local experience, afternoon tea at Hotel Daniel.

Perfect for our stay in Paris

Sweet Paris was the perfect apartment for our family of 4 during our stay in Paris. Within walking distance of a metro station, it was easy for us to access all the museums and other tourist attractions that we visited. The immediate area around the apartment housed a neighbourhood park, a grocery store and many interesting and trendy shops and restaurants. Centre Georges Pompidou and Forum des Halles (a large underground shopping mall) were also within walking distance. Our host Michael was helpful and always available to answer questions. We hope to return to Sweet Paris again someday!

Beautiful apartment in the best district in Paris!

My friends and I rented this beautiful and bijou apartment at the end of May. It was pefect and just the right size for the three of us. Opposite a park, with a lovely cafe steps away, it's situated a road from the metro and 20 mins to the river Seine. Plus it's right in the heart of Le Marais so perfect for the cafe's, bars and restaurants as well as the all the little creative shops and galleries. We actually felt like locals by the end of the weekend! Michael was so helpful and accomodating, epecially with the check out time and the storage of our bags. Would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment, 5 out of 5!

Quaint Apartment in Paris!

We had a wonderful stay in this cute apartment in what appears to be an up and coming area in Paris! Super easy to get too off the train and located adjacent to a little pocket park. The apartment was very comfortable with nicely appointed furnishings. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the common areas of the building are in need of a bit of finishing and the light in the common hall went out on us twice as we walked up to the apartment. Thank goodness for the flashlight on the iPhone. Communication with Michael was great and although he could not meet us at check in he had a good friend meet us to get us into the apartment. We will be back to Paris and would stay again in this little charmer!

A perfect getaway from home

We spent a lovely weekend in Paris in this flat. We've stayed for 4 days and it's definitely worth the price. Michael was waiting for us in the apartment and he really made us feel like home. The apartment looked exactly like in the pictures and we had everything we needed for the whole stay (ie. towels, plates). Perfect for a couple! Our host gave us some great advice about the places to visit. I really recommend the "La rue Montorgueil", lovely spot with loads of restaurants illuminated with Christmas lights in December, only minutes away. Great experience, will definitely come back next time we visit Paris!

Convenient

Overall for a weeks stay we felt the apartment was clean and passable. I felt like I was in a college type apartment not an elegant place. Since the property is older there were items unfamiliar to us to use. Suggest spending more time explaining the appliances - sink didn’t smell good so we didn’t use the kitchen. And we couldn’t fire out the stove even to heat up our pizza one night. The bar area lights and the bedroom wall lights didn’t work. The outlets don’t work for USA electronics. May in future a suggestion would be nice to provide a few converters for those renting from other areas of the world. The neighbors with a small child were heard but only because their apartment was so close by. If we had stayed in and wanted some quiet time we may have been uncomfortable listening to them. On the positive side we felt that all our activities were easy by metro to access. We also felt safe.

Süßes Appartment mittendrin
