The property was beautiful along with the sunsets. We were a group of women, some elderly. The terrain was a little difficult to maneuver for some. All in all, we had a great time!

We had a wonderful stay at Still Waters Ranch. The ranch was great for our group of seven adults with plenty of space for us to spread out. We particularly enjoyed the pavilion space with the grill and tables, and the spectacular Texas sunsets. It was helpful to have the extra buildings available and convenient to be allowed to decide if we wanted to use the space once we arrived and everyone had a look around. The property is well-maintained and spotlessly clean, equipped with everything we could need, and the beds were very comfortable. One member of our group asked me to note that she particularly appreciated that the towels and linens did not have an overpowering detergent fragrance.Sandy and Bob were perfect hosts. They provided very clear information, checked in to make sure all was well, and were otherwise invisible. Though it was nice to know that they were near if we’d needed something. They were incredibly considerate and offered to kennel their dogs but we were more than happy to give the well-behaved pups some love.Still Waters Ranch was a perfect spot for our mini reunion (High School class of 1981) and we recommend without reservation.

The entire ranch is amazing. There's a lot of different places to host a large sized group of guests and the amenities available are perfect for meals and entertainment. We enjoyed the swimming pool. It has an amazing view. The billiards room is also a great place to hang out. If you are looking for a property to host a large group, look no further. The owners are responsive and welcoming. I highly recommend!

Great facility for a large group or family gathering. The porch on the casita needs a little attention, but we enjoyed our stay immensely. The hosts were prompt in communicating and helped us host a rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding.

We had a great overall stay for our large family gathering. The property is beautiful, in a great location, and seeing all the deer along the main drive during our morning and evening walks was a highlight.The lodging itself was simple, comfortable, and gave off an unpretentious hunting cabin vibe. With 12 of us, having multiple buildings—the bungalow, cabin, and bunkhouse—allowed everyone plenty of space to sleep and the flexibility for family members to come and go as needed. The shared amenities were fantastic: we thoroughly enjoyed the pool, the grilling pavilion, and the billiards room (though the AC in the game room struggled a bit, making it warm when we hung out to play pool and watch football).Mr. Mehall was very friendly, welcoming, and wonderful to speak with regarding the rich history of the property. While we did have to text the owners several times throughout our stay regarding a few items, they were always extremely quick to respond.One note for future guests: make sure you read the listing’s fine print carefully. While it lists sleeping capacity for up to 20, access to the additional buildings (beyond the main bungalow) involves separate cleaning fees, the owners live on-site in the main house, and there are designated hours for the common areas.All in all, our family made great memories here and thoroughly enjoyed our weekend together!

Jeremy, given your basically enthusiastic comments while here and in your review, we are majorly disappointed in your giving us only 4 stars! The hours posted are only adhered to when we have rowdy guests and I specifically texted you to stay in the billiard room as long as you wanted. Regarding the extra cleaning fees, they are plainly stated in the write up not buried in the fine print as you stated. If the AC in the billiard room was problematic you should have informed us. That seems, truly, to be your only negative comment about the premises. You all broke the lamp over the game table by twisting the socket so far the wires to the power supply were disconnected. Both the VRBO website and our email to you identified the cleaning fees so you were not blindsided by the extra cleaning fees. It seems quite presumptuous to assume there would be no additional charge for use of six or seven more beds and the accompanying towels.

Incredible property & no better place to celebrate my wedding with family and friends. Absolute beautiful views to wake up to every morning along with plenty of room to accommodate the wedding party. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy the gorgeous hill country on an awesome property.

Stay at Tranquil Ranch

We enjoyed our stay at the property. Beautiful scenery. Comfortable facilities, pool area was very nice. Our family was able to make use of the properties and not be crowded. It was great.

Vasquez Family Weekend

Overall, our stay was indeed very nice and calm. The main cabin may have been a little small for all of us, but we enjoyed the facilities and Mr. & Mrs. Mehall were extremely nice and friendly.

Great short stay

We had a quick two nights at the property but enjoyed it so much. Our hostess couldn't have been nicer and the house was perfect for our purposes. The pool is dreamy and the bonus game room was so fun.

Overall the stay went well. Everyone loved the pool time.We were blessed with good weather so we could eat outside. Limited eating area for a large group in the main kitchen but covered options near the pool were available as needed.

Thanks for a 5 star review. Yes, the kitchen and accompanying eating area could be bigger but this is a historic ranch and the existing buildings were all here for many years. Pictures of everything are on the rental site. Glad you enjoyed your stay!

Very Tranquil

The ranch is beautiful and very relaxing and tranquil. We really enjoyed our time by the pool. The bungalow kitchen and living area are on the small side, but it was very cozy, nice and clean. A great place to stay!
