Pool heat option with game room

Make your San Antonio stay easy at this roomy five-bedroom, three-bath home for up to 10 guests. Spend the afternoon in the saltwater pool, unwind in the hot tub, or gather in the game room with pool table, foosball, darts and a Smart TV. The fenced backyard also has a shaded patio, charcoal grill, fire pit, putting green and hammocks. McAllister Park is a short walk away, with restaurants, groceries, the airport and major attractions within driving distance. Optional pool heating is available by advance request for $25–$50 per night; hot-tub use is included.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
• Two king beds

• One twin-over-twin bunk bed
• Fresh linens, towels and essential toiletries

POOL, HOT TUB AND BACKYARD
The backyard includes a private saltwater pool, hot tub, shaded patio, charcoal grill, fire pit, putting green, loungers and hammocks. Optional pool heating costs $25–$50 per night depending on the season and weather and must be requested before check-in. We provide a video guide for the guest controls and can assist remotely. Hot-tub use is included. The pool is professionally serviced every Friday and remains available during service and immediately afterward.

GAME ROOM
The converted-garage game room includes a pool table, foosball, darts and a Smart TV. Because this space is separate from the main living area, it may feel warmer during very hot Texas weather.

GUEST ACCESS
Guests have private access to the entire home, backyard, pool, hot tub, game room and driveway. Self check-in is available through the front-door keypad.

IMPORTANT EXPECTATIONS
• Maximum occupancy is 10 registered guests.
• Parties, events and unregistered visitors are not permitted.
• Quiet hours are 10:00 PM–9:00 AM.
• Up to two pets are welcome when included in the reservation.
• Five exterior cameras are present: the Ring doorbell, driveway, side walkway, side gate and back deck. There are no cameras inside the home.

LOCATION
The home is in North San Antonio’s Thousand Oaks area. Restaurants, groceries, parks, the airport and major San Antonio attractions are accessible by car. Travel times vary with traffic.

Overall, it was a good experience. There are a few things that are starting to show their wear and tear that need to be addressed. I imagine that is just coming with the age of the house. But it was wonderful having a place where my family could get together, and my grandkids could swim and enjoy being with their aunt and uncles and grandparents.

Excellent. Had a great time at this property, the house is very beautiful and in a great neighborhood, close to a lot of comercial and grocery stores. The inside is very luxurious and has everything a family needs to feel at home away from home. The host was very attentive and would respond within minutes for any questions or requests we had. They definitely made sure we had what we needed and went beyond to accommodate our family needs. The yard is not too big but very cozy and has like 3 different sections to sit down and enjoy different spots of the back yard. When we arrived, the pool was a bit dirty with leaves from the beautiful tress that surround the house due to windy conditions, but the host made sure it was cleaned up the next morning, we were not able to enjoy the pool due to temperature dropping to the mid 50’s the weekend of our stay, but it was ready for us to use. The game room was a plus and definitely came in handy since we couldn’t be outside due to the rain. So we spent a lot of time in there playing pool and having a good family time. Over all we had a great time, definitely recommend this place for a big family, very roomy, very clean, very cozy.

Our hosts were amazing before we even booked the property. Story time:I was searching far and wide (in the San Antonio Area) for a place that could accommodate 10 thirty-something year olds for a chill bachelor party/birthday get-together. This property ticked all of the boxes I had for LOCATION, ROOMS/BED availability, AMENITIES, and ATMOSPHERE. Our hosts were happy to have our merry band of grooms people stay to celebrate and relax.Checking in to the home was super simple, and all the instructions given by our gracious hosts were clear and thorough. Even the inclusion of the pool heating (which we ended up not using, but still great to have had the opportunity).The beautiful master bedroom was so spacious, and that en-suite bathroom with shower/garden bath combo was magnificent. The other bedrooms were equally and cozy and thoughtfully designed to ensure a super relaxing stay for our crew.The yard was also great, and I loved the aged Oaks surrounding the property. Given that this was in a fairly populated neighborhood, I still feel that the trees provided a fair sense of privacy and ambiance.We really enjoyed the converted-garage Game Room with the included pool table, foosball, and lounge sofa, as well as the TV room/dining area. I think this location is totally worth the cost for a large group (families, close friends) and would definitely consider staying here again.

Disappointing Stay – Hidden Rules, Maintenance Failures, and False AdvertisingRating: /We booked this property for a family celebration, but it fell short of expectations due to undisclosed restrictions, poor maintenance, and non-existent communication transparency.1. Undisclosed & Conflicting Rules Listing boosts “Great for Family reunions, celebrations, and bachelor parties” However rules at the bottom of the listing mention No Guests: This listing, severely limiting out family gathering – false advertising The "Paper" Rulebook: Upon arrival, we were directed to a physical binder with rules never mentioned on the VRBO listing. Worse, the digital QR code provided to access these rules led to a broken PDF link. Hidden Fees & Hours: Pool heating incurred a surprise fee not listed online. Furthermore, pool and spa hours were severely restricted (with conflicting signs stating 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM closures), which was never disclosed prior to booking. Although the fee was waived, this began a lot of confusion from the beginning of the stay.2. Maintenance & Safety Issues Active Ceiling Leak: Water from the master shower leaked through the floor, dripping directly onto the kitchen table. We reported this immediately and sent video evidence. The plumber claimed they couldn't replicate it and told us not to use the tub (which we hadn't used anyway). Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I chose this neighborhood because it felt like a secret quiet, tree-lined, and genuinely residential, tucked away from the noise while being minutes from everything San Antonio is known for.

It’s the kind of street where neighbors wave, dogs are everywhere, and the pace slows down the moment you turn off the main road. Safe, walkable, and genuinely peaceful it gives your group the rare feeling of actually being somewhere, not just near somewhere.

And yet you’re five miles from the River Walk. Six from the Alamo. Close enough to do everything, far enough to come home and actually decompress. That balance is rare, and it’s exactly why I chose it.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Honestly? It’s the combination of things you don’t expect to find together.

The house itself is a classic 90s red brick solid, spacious, and full of character that newer builds just don’t have. Those thick walls, those high ceilings, that architecture. It has a warmth to it that guests feel immediately and always mention in their reviews.

Step outside and you’re under a canopy of massive, aged oak trees that have been here for decades. It’s the kind of shade and stillness that makes you put your phone down. And if you’re lucky and you usually are, you'll spot a family of deer drifting through the yard in the early morning or at dusk. It happens more than you’d think, and it never gets old.

Then there’s everything else: the heated saltwater pool, the hot tub, the fire pit, the game room, the putting green, the hammocks. Guests joke that it feels like a mini resort that also somehow feels like home. That’s the balance I set out to create and the reason people come back.

There’s nowhere else in San Antonio quite like it.
