Garage is very tight it's easier to park when you come in from the alley.. We couldn't use any of the beach chairs cause they all appeared broken in some way.. The rest of the property was great and as described.
Most perfect location A+, house was great but it would have been helpful to know that the outside closet had a ton of Beach toys, boogie boards, & chairs. We did not discover this until near the end of the trip. We found no cleaning supplies, made it hard to cleanup.
This is a nice unit with high end fittings, fixtures and most furnishings. If you are seeking a bright sunny spot, this is not your place. It faces north and is the ground floor of a 3 story building and only gets direct sun at sunrise-10 am. If you have AT&T and need to rely on WiFi for service, the wifi as at best a 3 out of 10. Most of our calls using wifi would be dropped during the conversation and our last 3 days we had no WiFi at all despite contacting the owner.
As others noted, the garage is very narrow, anything bigger than a compact car might require exiting through the roof. PLEASE BE AWARE, the garage is shared and other occupants might not leave it locked, we had a bike stolen from inside the garage. Not a secure place.
The bikes that come with the rental were not used, completely rusted and probably would not be stolen even if they were not locked. Lots of beach chairs, boogie boards and toys were provided- all in nice condition.
The landlord was responsive to any issues that arouse with the unit (apart from the last 3 days of WiFi). We did have a dispute over a refund that was promised in writing that was not returned to us. So despite our first impressions of a man with integrity, we left feeling otherwise.
The place was perfect for me and my sister and our small families. The two different floors allowed for us to have our own spaces. Al was very accommodating, and was quick to help us out when we we locked ourself out of the rental. The beach towels provided and access to the beach chairs and boogie boards were a great bonus for travelers flying into San Diego like we were. Couldnât be closer to the beach and the bay. Our only complaint was they only provided one courtesy roll of toilet paper for or 5 day trip but the Mission Market a block away was a great place to buy more. Other reviewers have noted this too but the garage is VERY narrow. We had a rental mini van, and luckily my husband is skinny as he was able to squeeze out of the sliding doors. A full size SUV will not fit. Parking on the street wasnât as hard as I thought it would be being so close to the beach so if your vehicle doesnât fit parking wonât be a big challenge, though our stay was in October and not peak season. We will definitely choose this as our rental the next time we are in SD.
The location of this condo was ideal! Perfect end of the beach and the garage space was greatly appreciated as was the spaciousness of the condo and the nice outdoor areas. The condo was updated and clean and had everything necessary. I can't say enough how great the communication with Al was as well as the condo's proximity to everything. I highly recommend both the condo and Al. My travel plans were challenging due to weather in Minneapolis so it was nice to have a dependable place to stay. Hope to be back soon.
The location of this condo is very good and having a garage to park in was great as itâs hard to find parking on the street. We enjoyed our stay so close to the beach and boardwalk. The condo is spacious inside but the bedding was old and stained and really needs to be updated.
The property itself was roomy, 3 bedrooms, 2 pull out couches. The outside offered gas grill, patio table, and bikes. The house felt clean and had plenty of room. Still not quite sure how I felt about the owner or property manager (Al) stopping by to see what felt like "Who's staying here". Al questioned who was actually staying at the house with me because we had friends over who were staying down the road. Al stays across the street and has windows facing the house. Al stopped by 2 times during our 4-day trip. Everyone being 21+ felt like they had someone looking over there shoulder. FYI you share the building with another condo. You might have to share the patio with them. The price is fair for a 30 sec walk to the bay or beach.
