Orteils dans le sable - 1/2 pâté de maisons de la plage

Chaque aspect de cette maison a été entièrement reconstruit depuis la fondation. Début 2016, nous avons entrepris la tâche monumentale de démonter la structure existante jusqu'à la fondation. Nous avons méticuleusement enlevé tout ce qui se trouvait entre la fondation et la structure du toit, élargissant et reconfigurant le plan d'étage. Le résultat final était une maison de plage de 2 chambres et 2 salles de bain efficace avec des finitions haut de gamme qui vit sophistiquée mais confortable. Murs, fenêtres, cuisine, bains, foyer, télévision à écran plat (chaînes premium) Planchers à motif d'os de hareng, portes en acajou, comptoirs en quartz, électroménagers en acier inoxydable, portes françaises ouvertes sur le patio avant.

Cozy Beach Cottage - PRIME OB location!

We really loved this place - from the lush garden of a front patio to the comfy beds, it was a perfect little beach cottage! It is a tight squeeze but also plenty of space for 4 as long as you all love each other (but would you be sharing a Vrbo with people you don’t love?!?) The home had all the basic essentials stocked up, and if anything is missing you can mosey to any one of the many markets nearby. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this rental if you’re in town to relax!

I enjoyed staying at this VRBO in San Diego. The beds are not big enough to sleep comfortably 2 people in a bed. I went there with 3 other female adults. One of my guest slept on the couch because it couldn’t accommodate. There was construction next door to the place we were staying. I probably missed it but I didn’t see anything in the notes from the owner there would be construction next door. The workers woke up my guest and myself the 3 days we stayed there. I stayed Thursday through Sunday. Friday and Saturday morning the workers started before 7 am. I reached out to the owner to let him know and I was told I was already informed by the property listing. I didn’t see anything about construction going on while we would be staying. It happens I’m not upset but it would’ve been nice to sleep in. Other than the small issues it was a nice place to stay, close to the airport, beach and other places to visit.

Work Trip last week of summer

I have a short work trip every summer and almost always pick OB for my stay. This spot was perfect location, and so cute! We had a last minute add-on (2 moms, with 2 16 yo daughters) so it was a bit more cramped than we expected, but the beds are comfy and having two full bathrooms was a bonus! Owners did a great job making this small space work well for up to 4 people. We did yoga in the open front courtyard each morning, spent our days on the beach, went back to watch sunset each night, and had some excursions to La Jolla for snorkeling, and made a few visits to Clementine Tattoos for a permanent memento! (Joel's the BEST!) Do NOT pass up OB Noodles, and find your way to Grass Skirt Tikki restaurant in Pacific Beach one night. Thanks for a great spot to stay this year. We'll be back in OB next summer!

Fantastic Stay with No Issues or Problems!

I had an great stay at this little house with my friend, and it was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, everything was great. The host was super friendly and helpful, making sure we had all the information we needed. The place was clean, and beautifully decorated, making us feel right at home. We loved the convenient location, close to all the cool spots and easy to get around, and walking distance to the beach. Best of all, we had zero issues or problems during our stay. It was a stress-free and enjoyable experience from start to finish. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic SB getaway!

OB hideaway

We were visiting our kids who live in OB and Mission Hills and this place was perfect for us, very close to the beach, shops , downtown OB and the courtyard was a great place for us to gather. The place itself is modern and nicely put together with care. Definitely come back!

The good and the bad.

The good was spending time on the patio. The bad was we didn’t have time to search for a propane tank and rest assured you will have to if you want to use the fire pit or grill.

Wonderful house close to beach

We have loved coming to this house for years—this was our 4th stay if that tells you anything. Its location is so awesome. The place is clean, comes with beach chairs/sand toys/boogie boards, etc. And the front patio is really awesome. Please note that the owner does say that they don’t refill the propane for the BBQ or the fire pit—they rely on tenants to do so. To me that just means that the fire pit and bbq aren’t available because most folks aren’t going to fill and “donate” a tank of fuel to a house that isn’t their own. If we stay again, I’ll bring a tank from home next time (if we are driving), because it was a bummer not to be able to enjoy the fire at night.

Wonderful retreat at the beach

This is a cute and cozy place to stay while visiting San Diego, Ocean Beach and surrounding areas. Host was extremely responsive and helpful. Location is great - only a couple-minute walk to the beach.

This place was perfect for a long weekend with my grandparents visiting from out of state. Easily walkable to beach and bars/restaurants. Definitely recommend for those wanting to stay in OB!

Great location, but that is not air conditioning.

Let me start with the positives – great location, just a few blocks from the beach, very nice place with recent updates throughout the house, very nice patio area and a reserved parking spot is very necessary. The only negative is a major one with insufficient air conditioning. If it is above 70 degrees outside then the portable air conditioning unit is not enough to cool this space. It would keep one bedroom cool, but that won’t do when there are multiple individuals staying in the house. When I informed the host of this he did drop off three box fans. It was in the 90’s during our stay and those didn’t help much. He said it’s a portable air conditioning unit so move it where you need to. This unit’s condensation tray would fill up with water in 30 minutes and a "P1" would show on the display. When that happens you must empty it or else the unit wouldn’t cool, just blow air. I’m not sure what the host expects you to do through the night. We went to a business and purchased a hose and a clamp so it could drain to a sink or a shower. We also tried to purchase an additional air conditioning unit of any kind, but with a heat wave bearing down on Southern California they were all sold out. They had an evaporating fan which we tried, but these are not air conditioners and only helped slightly. We returned this at the end of our trip. Too much of our time was spent trying to cool this space. If you’re going to list air conditioning as an amenity, then make sure it’s proficient to cool the whole space. We looked specifically for a rental with air conditioning and were willing to pay a higher price for it and it was not provided. We’ve stayed at many rentals, but have never had to work so hard at trying to stay cool in one. I’m a landlord in Kentucky and I’ve installed Mini Split Air Conditioning units in similar spaces. They are very efficient and affordable. To sum it up, this issue would keep us from staying at this location again. In addition, a ten seconds video on locking the front door would be a good replacement for the paragraph trying to explain how to do it in the binder.

Cute little oasis

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in San Diego. The house was very clean and comfortable with cool modern touches that worked well with the Ocean Beach vibe. The outdoor space was wonderful, filled with beautiful plants and twinkling lights at night. The location made for easy walks to the beach, shopping and dining. Our only issue was that the air conditioning unit didn’t really cool very well, but we made do with fans and open windows. We will definitely return in the future!

Vorteile: Das Beachhouse ist für amerikanische Verhältnisse sehr gepflegt und sauber. Nachteile: Die Klimaanlage ist zu klein dimensioniert und insbesondere nicht für schwüle Sommernächte ausgelegt (wir mussten den Wasserbehälter spätestens alle 30 Minuten entleeren). Als wir das dem Vermieter mitteilten, meinte er anfangs, dass wir in der Bedienungsanleitung nachsehen sollten und dass das ein Anwenderfehler sei. Später meinte er, wir sollen das Fenster aufmachen und die Frischluft genießen. Die Lüftung im Bad war kaputt. Das haben wir dem Vermieter mitgeteilt. Seine eigenartige Reaktion/Antwort: da es ein Fenster gibt, brauchen wir keine Lüftung. Problem: wenn man am Abend duschen geht, bekommt man die Luftfeuchtigkeit nicht mehr weg, insbesondere weil die Klimaanlage zu klein ist und sich zudem am anderen Ende des Hauses befindet. Am Anfang fehlte der Fön. Das wurde aber vom Vermieter am nächsten Tag bereinigt. Einmal hatten wir einen Stromausfall (Schutzschalter), da der Fön die Stromverkabelung des Hauses überforderte. Das kann passieren. In dem vom Vermieter viel zitierten „blauen Buch“ stand leider nicht, wie wir das lösen können (amerikanische Zählerkasten/Stromverkabelungen) sind nicht mit dem mitteleuropäischen Standard vergleichbar. Im Nachhinein meinte der Vermieter, dass das eine Kleinigkeit war, die er in einer Minute bereinigt hatte. Nachdem die Flugschneise vom Flughafen direkt über Ocean Beach ist, ist es teilweise sehr laut (Pacific Beach wäre wahrscheinlich die bessere Wahl). Ocean Beach ist im Vergleich zu Pacific Beach deutlich verschmutzter und es gibt deutlich mehr Obdachlose. Im Nachhinein würden wir jedenfalls wieder nach San Diego fliegen, uns aber nicht mehr für dieses Haus und auch nicht mehr für Ocean Beach entscheiden.

Great location next to Ocean Beach!

This little cottage/house was very clean, well stocked and in a great location! I don’t think a lot of San Diego houses have central air conditioning; this one has a unit that I believe pulls air from outside. It’s been warm so the cottage didn’t cool very well during the day but worked wonderfully once it cooled down outside. All in all, would totally stay here again! William was amazing in staying connected!

Our guest get to enjoy this fantastic location as well as every modern convenience in a stylish beach bungalow. The beach lots are typically tight but this one is large by comparison. This beach house rests at the back of the lot which allows for a generous amount of outdoor space to relax and entertain. We do not accept changes to calendar 7 days prior to arrival. Please note there will be construction on the corner lot- potential noise which we have no control over
