This area of Kihei is a nice, quiet local vibe far from the tourist crowds. The building itself is right at the beach and located within walking distance of grocery store, restaurants, etc. This beach is good for walks, sunbathing, and a quick dip but is not suitable to swimming or snorkeling due to the murky waters and super low tide with sharp rocks. We were disappointed in the level of comfort and attention to detail in the apartment. The whole apartment needs fresh paint, a deep clean, and some upgrades. For example; The king bed is uncomfortable with poor support, and we were referring to the pillows as bricks. The bedroom window curtain was stuck partway open, so during the day it was a dark room and during the night it was not dark enough. The kitchen is old. Be aware that there is no gate from the parking lot/street on that side of the building, right next to the unit. We had three sarongs taken from the unit's patio table and chairs.
Overall, we felt there was a great mismatch between the price and the quality of accommodation provided.
