Like a shelter in town, Villa Buonamici is the perfect place where to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet being just a few steps away.

You will find plenty of space where to gather with your loved ones, from the several sitting rooms to the spacious kitchen for funny dinners cooked together, without forgetting the outdoor terrace and garden with private pool – a unique feature, for a villa in town facing the walls of Lucca.

Loving conviviality, the owners didn’t spare on the common areas: spend a lovely evening around the piano singing together, have fun in the games room with chess board and billiard table, or read a book in a bright and restful living room with soft furnishings, all enjoying a smart homely Italian feel.

The external terrace is equipped with table and chairs and comfortable outdoor furniture for taking advantage of the warm weather and the private pool will offer you refreshing moments in the hottest days.

Situated in a residential district of Lucca, just in front of the Medieval Walls, Villa Buonamici has plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes in the immediate surroundings, including an original Bavarian Brewery just around the corner, a famous local pizzeria, an home-made pasta shop, groceries and the renowned “Giulio in Pelleria” one of the most popular traditional restaurants in Lucca just a couple hundred meters away.

First Floor: 4 master bedrooms with 4 ensuite bathrooms.

Lower Ground Floor: two master bedrooms, 1 bathroom, games room with bar corner, fireplace, billiard/pool table and chess board.

From booking to departure Lucca Villas and Apartments were excellent. We were greeted at the property by a property manager who kept in touch throughout our stay and provided local restaurants and foo shopping recommendations which we used. The property is exactly as shown and all age groups in our party had a wonderful time and would return. The beds were comfortable, the Villa is clean cool and spacious and provides the perfect accommodation to immerse yourself in Lucca and the surrounding area. Walking the walls was one of the best holiday experiences.

This is a beautiful house. It is exceptionally well maintained in nearly all respects. Monica was very responsive and solved any issues we had. All systems worked very well and as advertised. This is a great location with just a short walk to the city wall. There was noise from dogs and traffic so not a completely quiet environment if that’s what is desired.

Loving Lucca!

Villa Buonamici was beautifully decorated with lots of room to spread out, stunning landscape and stocked with everything we could need. It is in a perfect location to the Walls of Lucca and we walked over several times a day to enjoy everything this lovely town has to offer. Monica was our concierge and she was always available for help and guidance. Thank you for making my 60th birthday trip so memorable!!

Super location near the city walls and great pool

Location was superb and just what we wanted within walking distance of lots of restaurants. Outdoor pool along with the pool room was enjoyed by all immensely. Comfy beds and excellent A/C ensured good night’s More loungers needed by the pool, better quality of service and more helpful information from the local team would have been appreciated, kitchen could be improved, shower drains need unblocking

This is an amazing house for a large family gathering, everything was 1st class, my family had the best time!! Air conditioning, plenty of space for all of us, a big pool and the plus is the vicinity from the center of the city. We highly recommend this house!!

It is very close to the gate to the walled city center, literally only minutes away. The accommodations were exactly as described. Checkin/out was very easy and convenient. Our trip to Tuscany included stays in four separate locations and Villa Buonamici was by far our favorite. Do yourself a favor and stay at this Villa, you won’t be disappointed.

Great location and lovely Villa outside Lucca gates.

The location of this Villa could not be better! It's a 5 minute walk right into the heart of Lucca. It has a lovely back garden with a pool and outdoor patio to enjoy late dinners and the interiors have been lovingly designed and furnished. A wonderful place for a large family or group, with an additional kitchen downstairs. A couple things to be aware of or look into - - the back patio is mostly in the sun from morning through sunset, and could do with either additional umbrellas or awnings as it gets very hot out there and it's quite exposed. - perhaps more chairs around the pool area and again, as it's in the direct sunlight all day, an additional umbrella or two would be helpful. Wonderful place, a bit of nearby noise from roads and neighborhood dogs (kennel nearby?) but not material to the enjoyment of the Villa. Thank you for replacing the fridge when it broke down! that was very fast service and meeting the owner was lovely.

We LOVED Villa Buonamici!

We LOVED Villa Buonamici! The location is incredible. The house is beautiful. We appreciated the boxes of toiletries in all of the bathrooms. Great to have a full size refrigerator and an extra one in the lower level. Enjoyed the pool table and lounge in the lower level. Loved that it was updated but still had all of the beautiful architectural details of original house. Plenty of room for parking which was incredible since we had rented a large van for our big family. We didn't get to use the pool because we were there in cooler weather, but it was lovely and the yard was private and well cared for. I can't say enough about the professionalism and helpfulness of the whole team at Lucca Apartments & Villas. A couple small maintenance issues that came up were addressed immediately, they made great suggestions for local places of interest. We had a health issue that came up and they supported us above and beyond to get help with it. Overall, it was really great and we truly loved the house, it exceeded our expectations. We would go back in a heartbeat! If I am being picky here is what I suggest. Could use new trash bins inside and out. Would be great if bags were provided for trash bins. For those who like to cook, the kitchen could benefit from some additional items, like baking pans, measuring cups & spoons, food storage containers, hot pads, extra kitchen towels and dishcloths. It would be awesome to have a small island or table in the middle of the kitchen for additional workspace. Instructions for the oven and induction burners in the house information folder would be helpful. It would be nice to have a rug inside by the front door for wiping feet. Would be great to have a coat rack by the door or in the office. A couple throw blankets in the sitting rooms for cooler weather would also be really nice. More hangers in all the closets would also be appreciated.
