We certainly hope you'll come back soon! It was great that you decided to explore this area in the harvest season.. it's an open secret that it's one of the most lovely times of the year!

This group was comprised of 15 people, 7 of whom were children. I am very sorry that their stay was not ideal in all respects. This is the first time in our history that someone has complained about too much service! So yes, guilty as charged: we have service every day, as described in the property’s amenities, and all our guests have always greatly appreciated it. For anyone reading this response, I will add to Greg's last phrase: if you are not comfortable having staff around you, please choose a different property. As for them being "overbearing:” again, I’m sorry this was the perception. But I will add that the moment Greg told me about this, I immediately called the staff and told them to keep away as much as possible and not worry about the chaos. About the gardener I will say that a property of several acres, in the middle of an exceptionally hot and dry Summer would ideally require several full-time gardeners to keep alive. As it is, it’s one gardener who works every day only in the morning hours, to water everything (including the delicious tomatoes!) and tend to the pool. He stays away as much as possible. One morning he was watering the lawns around the pool at around 9:00 am, when he noticed some guests coming down the path. He immediately turned off the sprinklers and repositioned the sun-beds. The time lag may have been five minutes. There was certainly never any intentional turning on of sprinklers on the guests.

Thank you for the very nice words. This group was unlucky with the weather, because it rained I think 5 out of the 7 days they were at the house. Moreover, they were there at that time of the year (late April - early May) when it starts getting hotter outside than inside the house. With the humidity of the rain, I am sorry to read that they felt chilly. Had I known this, I would have been happy to put on the heating system (which I can do remotely).. it just did not occur to me that it might be necessary. We have an excellent heating system which keeps the house very warm when we are there in winter!
