This property exceeded our expectations. Our family of 12 was very comfortable here. Our five kids ranging from 9 to 17 enjoyed the pool, the gardens, the gym, the pool house games and the movie room. Many sitting rooms to sit as a family or to find solitude. Also, a short walk to the local pub, the Swan. We had an excellent time and highly recommend this property.
We absolutely loved staying at the house, it was a fabulous experience for young and old. The garden was huge and the kids loved exploring and setting up camp in the woods. The pool was fantastic and a perfect temperature, we used it every day despite some overcast days. Most nights we all watched a movie together in the cinema room....some amazing memories made that wont be forgotten. We had so many wonderful meals sat outside with the entire family I really recommend this property for a family and friends get together.
We booked a secret wedding in London and needed a place in the middle for our families to meet up. It catered for all of us! We had 2 children under 3, and 14 adults but it didn't seem cramped. Everybody was comfortable and content. Antoine was super responsive, and so was the young man who checked us in (I can't remember his name unfortunately!). Friendly, clean, and surrounded with the most well kept gardens. If you need total darkness to sleep, bring an eyemask! Thank you so much to all involved to making our wedding stay so beautiful :-)
We had a great weekend because of the company. The house itself is tired inside as well as all the appliances. We found everything was on its last legs. The pictures and amenities list needs updating as itâs not accurate.
Showers leaked, washing machine and hoover is broken, fridge doors struggled to close, broken freezer draws. Kettle so grubby so we stopped using. Dinning chairs ripped, table covered in ring marks and stains. Cigarettes in bedroom draws. Maybe my standards are too high but for the money I think itâs way over priced.
We had to do a-lot of cleaning before our guests arrived luckily I paid for an earlier check in and managed to do this. Beds were barely made with pillows still on the floor. To say there was cobwebs lining the walls is an understatement. It just missed the luxury thatâs listed in its title which is such a shame.
However linen was clean and kitchen/bathrooms were âsurfaceâ clean.
I found communication with the host very difficult prior to the visit and raised this with âVrboâ however any queries were answered promptly whilst staying and host was helpful/polite.
Highlight was the pool area so thank goodness we had good weather and spent our time outside. It was heated which was great and grounds are lovely. Kids areas were a bonus for us but unfortunately all a bit unmaintained to be usable.
