Country cottage for four people set in 12 acres of Peak District National Park
Lomas Cottage is a former cattle barn which today is a luxury cottage sleeping four people. It's also dog-friendly. Downstairs thereâs an open-plan living area and upstairs there are two double bedrooms â both can either be twins or a super king. The bathroom has a bath with an over-bath shower and thereâs a private patio just outside. Lomas Cottage is set in one of Derbyshire's most breathtaking valleys with views of where the final scenes of Peaky Blinders were filmed. Close to both Buxton and Bakewell, the cottage is part of the Wheeldon Trees retreat. It boasts amazing views, an honesty shop, WIFI, EV charging, a children's play area, a laundry room, free electric bikes and acres of land to explore. Every bathroom at Wheeldon Trees boasts toiletries from our own range made in Bakewell by Peak Soap and your free luxury tote welcome bag features lots of goodies including the retreat's own branded High Wheeldon Rising fresh coffee.
A well equipped and very comfortable cottage in a truly beautiful location. Communication was great throughout, with a generous and thoughtful welcome package on arrival. The collection of cottages is tastefully converted and well thought out, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Our stay was short but very enjoyable, and we would happily return for longer. Highly recommended.
What a lovely place! We've never been catered for to such an extent. Hazel is approachable al the time and she helped with everything. The place is excellent for children. We'll definitely return.
We gave up corporate life in 2021 for a more wholesome outdoors adventure. Steve was in housebuilding and Hazel owned a PR and advertising agency. We live just down the road in Ashbourne but are a phone call away if you need us.
The Peak District National Park is stunning. If you love cosy cottages, bracing walks, top tastic country pubs and gorgeous countryside, Wheeldon Trees Cottages is for you.
Weâve tried our best to ensure all you need to do is turn up. Our sheets are Egyptian cotton, our towels are fluffy and white. From olive oil in the kitchen to luxury toiletries hand-made locally for us, we have tried to think of everything. We love travelling ourselves, so all we have done is try to cover everything we would need. Add in historic chocolate-box cottages and stunning scenery â we think we have the perfect Peak District spot.
