We would like to welcome you in Casa Jara, an uniquely restored and very spacious house in the lovely hamlet of Los Ventorros near Comares.
What makes this house so special is that, although located in a small hamlet, it is surrounded by natural beauty and also the original decoration which has been very tastefully done by the owner's daughter. Spacious yet cosy, colourful yet soothing. A great place to spend a wonderful holiday with friends and family or even with your yoga or cycling group, and make great memories. There is room for everything: socialising and enjoyment but also, if necessary, a little privacy on one of the various terraces and balconies or in one of the cosy sitting areas.
Casa Jara has 5 bedrooms (each of them with a different style of furnishing) which open all onto a balcony with French doors. There are 2 fully fitted bathrooms (toilet, bidet, bathtub/shower, washbasin), a well equipped kitchen with breakfast corner, a very spacious living area with very comfortable sofas, dining facilities for 10 people and a wood burner. There is also a cosy lounge on the first floor that opens onto a covered balcony, the ideal spot to play a game or read a book. There is smart-tv and free WIFI in the house. The kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, induction cooker, electric oven and microwave and all necessities. A washing machine is at disposal of our guests.
The living room opens onto the lovely pool area. Here is the beautiful swimming pool and a spacious terrace with plenty of sun loungers. The view of the surrounding mountains brings tranquillity and you can take lovely walks from the immediate vicinity of the house.
A 5-minute drive from the house takes you into the protected nature reserve of the Montes de Malaga. Here you will find dozens of marked hiking trails, and if you have cycling enthusiasts in your company, this is the route often ridden in the Vuelta de Andalucia. Also by car, it is a wonderful way to drive straight from Comares, through this nature reserve, to the centre of the delightful town of Malaga.
Within walking distance of the house are 2 bars/restaurants where you can not only eat well but which also often have a music night on weekends.
Casa Jara is located 3.5km from the beautiful white washed town of Comares, voted ‘Pueblo Magico d’España’. After just 1 visit, you will understand why… Comares, at an altitude of 700 meters, is a typical Andalusian white village with narrow streets. Follow the ceramic footsteps that lead you to extraordinary corners with spectacular views at every step you take. Comares is surrounded by beautiful countryside, full of impressive native trees and beautiful paths that invite you to hike and enjoy nature. Many guests come here to cycle, mountanbike or…..just to relax.
There is a supermarket, an ATM, a pharmacy and several bars and restaurants. The view from the balcony in the centre of the village is breathtaking and you can see the Med.
Only 30 minutes by car, bring you to the wellknown beach of Torre del Mar. Eat crackling fresh fish in one of the many chiringuitos or enjoy a nice ice-cream while you walk on the beautiful promenade. Velez Malaga that lies just next to it, has a big commercial center and many supermarkets.
During a day trip, you can visit all the touristic highlights of Andalusia such as Malaga, cultural and gastronomic capital with its streets full of beautiful facades, submerged in history. How about a visit to Granada and the beautiful Alhambra palace? The famous Caminito del Rey in Ardales takes you through the gorges of El Chorro. Cordoba with the Mezquita is unique in the world. A cathedral build inside a mosque. And there is so much more to discover in beautiful Andalusia!
