Nice Clean van good position

Booking was easy, self check in too, Van clean and tidy and well equipped (although was missing a bowl or plug in the kitchen sink so bought a bowl and left it there) good sized bedrooms as you expect from a 3 bed caravan. Had one issue with hot water but spoke to Emma at 2Cholidays who was very helpful and got it all alerted, with follow up call to make sure we were happy 👍 All in all a good stay Thank you Vrbo and 2CHolidays and Emma 👏👏

SMELL INSIDE CARAVAN WAS TERRIBLE

The caravan had an overbearing unpleasant smell. The smell was a combination of sweaty body odour, dirty socks & wet dog smell. The caravan is meant to be dog/animal free. The temp in the caravan was absolutely freezing as the thermostat had been set to 11%, I adjusted the thermostat. The smell was the same in the bedrooms & I struggled to sleep. My son & daughter-in-law arrived (as we were sharing the caravan) & I was told that unfortunately they had stayed in the same caravan in Oct 2022. My daughter- in-law had complained about the awful smell in the caravan as well as dirty dishes, broken net curtains at the windows, cob webs hanging from the light fittings. The broken net curtains had been removed from the windows & there were no cob webs. My daughter-in-law had written a poor review last year which surprised me as there was only one 5 star review on the site for this caravan. I rang 2Cholidays before 9am in the morning & asked if we could move to another caravan. Was told that the cleaner could come & put an odour nutrilising bomb in the caravan but that we would have to leave the caravan for an hour. I explained that I cannot see the b will work (as my son had the same issue in Oct) & asked again if we could move to another caravan. I was told I would be rung back after a conversation had been had with a manager. We then tried to put the tv on but there was no sound. I rang 2Cholidays back & was advised that they were unable to find another caravan for us but that the cleaner was “on site” & would be coming to the caravan any minute. I mentioned the tv & also said broken pieces of a dvd had been found in the tv stand. We took the children out as they were becoming restless. Unfortunately it was raining so the on site playground was useless. We returned after 5pm & there was still no sound on the tv & the smell was just as bad. I rang 2Cholidays again & was advised that 2 cleaners had visited the caravan & they had said that the smell was not an “unusual smell” from an old caravan. I was advised that a text had been sent to me with a phone no to call for technical support to get the sound issue resolved. We had to be at a birthday celebration by 6.30pm & I could have done without this stress. We had to vacate the caravan by 10am the following morning & tge boys watch tv during breakfast & packing the cars. All in all a disappointing stay & not a caravan I would recommend despite the cheap rental.
