Included in price are good quality sheets and towels, utilities and taxes.

Pets welcome for small extra charge.

It is a detached 3 bedroomed property built in provencal style, all on 1 level, with beautiful internal wooden beams and fireplace, and recently painted interiors.

The villa has been in our family for over 30 years and is primarily our home- so all the extra little items are there for your use.

We have several grandchildren of varying ages and the villa is suitable for children (we do have a number of toys, games, books and beach items for their use).

One of our family also has a lovely dog which comes on holiday too. So we do accept dogs to the villa but for a small extra charge. Obviously, we expect the dogs not to be left in the villa or in the garden on their own, and would ask that owners respect a dog free bedroom area please.

There 3 bedrooms for your use
A double with french doors leading onto the garden

A family bedroom with a double and a single bed.

A large double with shower in the room and a toilet and utility area adjoining. This bedroom has french doors leading onto the side area of the house.

All beds have good quality pillows, quilts (if required), and a linen set.
Also provided are towels.

The lounge is large with a separate open dining area and there are 2 sets of french doors leading onto the terrace and garden.

There is a 3 seater and a 2 seater settee , coffee tables, a large dining table and chairs. There is also a wine rack and drinks cabinet.
The tv is a smart tv and there is a DVD player as well.
We provide WiFi, and as it is a smart tv you can log into your Netflix, prime etc there is a HDMI cable for your use. For your convenience we suggest you bring a lap top computer to access live tv.

We have made a dedicated work space with desk and chair in the hall area ideal for working whilst on holiday.

There is a bathroom with bath, shower and bidet, and then a separate wc off the entrance hall.

There is a fully equipped kitchen (with new dishwasher, microwave, oven, hob, fridge freezer, slow cooker, coffee machine, air fryer, crepe cooker, liquidiser and portable grill, toaster) together with pots, cooking utensils and selection of crockery for your use. We also have wine coolers, decanters and plenty of glasses.

The kitchen leads onto the covered terrace with a large table seating 8.
The terrace is lit by a central light and white string lights if required.
( the geckos come out at night and provide us with such joy watching them trying to catch their tea)
The terrace looks onto the beautiful old olive tree, which is lit in the evenings.

The gardens are on 4 sides of the property, with many Mediterranean flowers, shrubs and cacti. The gardens are lit at night and the decking area has beautiful views towards the sea and islands.
There is a large gas bbq for your use, which has proved very popular in the last few years. The bbq may only be used in the open areas of the garden and not under terrace.

We have sun shades and sun beds for your use, and several seating areas to relax or to eat. Our lemon and lime trees are growing well and of course the mimosa flowers at different times in the year.
We do not have an irrigation scheme so ask our guests to water the pots if the weather is dry.

We introduced a hot tub in past few years and has proved very sucessful. We have decided to include the use of the hot tub in the rental price. Please note though the hot tub is only for use between April and October.
The hot tub is situated to the side of the property and has proved a great success with our recent Rentors, the area has lovely views, part astroturf and a yoga mat is available.

The area is lit and plastic glasses and extra towels are available for use with the hot tub. It is very easy to use and all the instructions and chemicals are there for your use. The water is changed before each rental.

Cavalaire as a holiday resort:

Cavalaire is unique in that it retains its French family resort. It is a village in its own right and all year the bars, restaurants and many shops are open.
Events taking place can be found on the Cavalaire web site or the St Tropez site. Both of these give information on special events and fete days, sporting events and general details of life in the 2 villages.

The coast around Cavalaire is rocky with pretty sandy accesible coves, although the 3 mile sandy beach of Cavalaire is beautiful. The headland to the east - Cap Lardier,is a national park and will never be built on. The walks around this headland are superb. Alternatively to the west at Le Rayol there is the marine national park, with scuba diving and snorkelling available and the most beautiful gardens. There are weekly musical evenings held at these gardens on a terrace overlooking the sea.

Nearby towns and villages, most are accessible by bus - its so cheap!

Isles d'Or and St Tropez:
The Isles d'or to the west of Cavalaire, are a group of islands accesible by ferry from Cavalaire or Le Lavondu. Levant is half military and half nudist, the second Port Cros is a national park with a beautiful tiny hamlet with restaurants - escapism at its best. The third Baghad is uninhabited and the fourth the largest Pourquerolles has a thriving village, vineyards and fantastic walking and cycling. Bikes can be rented for the day. The trip is well worth doing, but has to be reserved a day or so ahead in the summer.

To the east and west of Cavalaire there are many hill villages to explore, some rural and others like Gassin, easily accessible - providing the best views of the gulf of St Tropez .

Lastly, St Tropez has to be on the list to visit. It is a facinating place, expensive yachts and motor palaces alongside fishing boats. The shops are worth a look but just wander the streets and up to the fort and cemetry. The winter is great for exploring it. Tuesday and Saturday are the weekly market days and definitely worth a browse.

Cannes, Monaco, Nice:
Cannes has its film festival in May, and can easily be reached in an hour from Cavalaire.
Likewise Monaco and Nice are only 2 hours away and can either be visited as a day trip or with an overnight stay.

In October there are the “The Voiles de St Tropez “- a celebration of old j class boats, with daily races in the bay of St Tropez. What an event this is to see - fantastic fun to watch even if you do not sail yourself. The specific dates are on the St Tropez web site.

Westwards from Cavalaire, lies Hyeres and Toulon. Both of these towns are nice to visit and the airport of Toulon/St Tropez is only 40 minutes from Cavalaire and on a bus route. Toulon is also where the TGV stops.
The coastline is spectacular all the way from Cannes to Marseille. Although it is very easy to spend the whole holiday in Cavalaire and its near surroundings it is definitely worth visiting one or two of these towns. If you would like to go to Corsica, then the ferry leaves from Toulon.

Wonderful stay

Contact with the owner was easy and I always got a response in short time. The house was spacy and very cozy. Bedding was good and all aplliances were available. The town (restaurants and bars) and beach were within walking distance. The large and well stocked supermarkt was nearby (few minutes by car). The gardens around the house were just great!, with gasgrill, with sun loungers, diffent sitting areas and with cozy lighting. A very well-recommendable residence close to St. Tropez

Haus in schöner Lage

Perfect location for a lovely stay at the Cote d'Azur

The Villa Amandiere is a very beautyful typical mediterranean villa in a calm part of Cavalaire. It is equipped with everything you need, has a big and beautiful garden with several possibilities to enjoy the sun or rest in the shadow. We spent two weeks with our daughters and were very happy.

Lovely, quiet villa

Really great villa, very well equipped with stunning location, beautiful views. Convenient for the town with its restaurants and shops. We visited several lovely beaches in the area and small villages. Mrs Leigh sent detailed information regarding the property and was very helpful with our booking. We would certainly go back to this area and to the villa.

Relaxing autumn break

We have just spent a few very relaxing days at this wonderful villa which really is a 'home from home' with lots of thoughtful attention to detail. The villa is located in a very peaceful and secluded area but with easy access to the town and numerous beautiful beaches with pale sands and crystal clear waters. Outside of the villa there are different seating areas to help you relax in the pretty garden and sea views in the distance. The markets at San Tropez and Cavalaire were really interesting and displayed a good range of local goods and tempting foods. We enjoyed the stunning views as we ate delicious pizza at the hill top village of Gassin ( not to be missed!). Lesley has provided an extremely comfortable haven from which to explore a fabulous area but also somewhere to simply relax, unwind and enjoy the tranquility. Thank you Lesley we did !

A holiday in a home fit for the big screen!

Extremely true description of the property, very clean with a wonderful and peaceful garden with incredible views, to spend time in, it was our pleasure to help water while we stayed. The instructions and communication with Lesley were very fluid it felt like talking with an old friend. The amenities and the little extras around the villa made the whole stay feel like I was holidaying in my own home. It is such a lovely walk into the town which is right on the beach, which was brilliant for a great day out. The restaurant advice and day trips around the local area were a huge assets to our holiday, thank you Lesley. We look forward to our next trip.

Traumhafter Urlaub

Home from home in the South of France

We are a family of five with three children aged 15,13 and 12 and this was our first family holiday in France. We did not know fully what to expect, either from the villa or from this area prior to our arrival. With three demanding children we had some concerns. We need not have worried. Within minutes of arriving at the villa the children had allocated themselves their own rooms and were connected to the wi-fi system and had discovered a large selection of dvds, books and games. The villa has three generously sized bedrooms and if your party is larger there is also a pull out sofa bed in the lounge. The villa is well equipped with everything you may need including a large fridge freezer, washing machine and full range of kitchen equipment. When eating at the villa there is a large outside seating area under a balcony where we found ourselves congregating each morning for breakfast, having been to the nearby boulangerie, ordering fresh baguettes in best schoolboy french. There is also a good size barbecue which we made use of. Two local supermarkets are nearby where you will find everything you need and at reasonable prices. The garden area is a real treat, a terrace at the front of the villa was our favourite with a seating area overlooking the sea and hills beyond. Spent quite a bit of time there relaxing. At night it was fun sitting looking at the shooting stars and a passing satellite!! There is a table tennis table at the rear of the property, with further seating and a hammock available for use in different areas.. The villa is situated in a quiet part of the village but within easy reach of the beach and local shops. We were never disturbed in the evenings. The neighbours were friendly and always acknowledged you. It is more a traditional french villa, not like the mass produced ones that look onto each other. The main beach at Cavalaire was clean and easily accessible with showers available to wash the sand off. We had a car and ventured to some of the other neighbouring beaches, all excellent quality. The marina at Cavalaire is beautiful and has a variety of restaurants. The local traders set up stalls in the evenings and it provides a nice way to end the day. All in all this was a holiday that all the family enjoyed, much more than expected. The locals are so friendly and we found ourselves competing at a game of boules in a local park!! Recommended for young and old alike!! Will definitely return.

Tranquil retreat in cute community

Our stay in this charming villa went beyond our expectations in every way. The town was a lovely combination of vacationers and French families who live there year round, right on the coast and convenient to other outstanding places like Ste. Tropez. Cavalaire sur Mer is a beautiful, sunny spot with a marina, beaches, shops, restaurants, and water sports. It is appropriate for all ages. We saw many families and couples. The town had a strong sense of local community, and was welcoming to visitors. Most places had English-speaking staff. If you are not familiar with French beach culture, please note that this small town closes shop from about noon to 3 or 4 PM each day except in the high season of July/August. It's OK; take a beach break or a nap. You need the rest anyway, right? The villa owners made us feel welcome from the very beginning, answering our questions and providing many insights into beaches, shops, and restaurants nearby. They clearly love their home and the opportunity to share it with other good people. The home gets a good breeze from the sea, especially at night. The yard is well kept and has several spots to sit and read, eat a meal, or nap. There is a hammock, BBQ grill, lounge chairs, tables, ping pong table, and clothesline. You'll feel at home very quickly. The kitchen has what you need to cook meals or to stow your picnic supplies for a beach day or a drive to local towns and wineries. There are three bedrooms plus a pull out bed in the living room to accommodate an extended family. The third bedroom is off the kitchen and has its own WC and shower and is where you'll find the washer and dryer. The third bedroom is very private for a teen or a second couple. There were only three of us, but I could see two families or a grandparents/parents/kids combination staying here. There are DVDs, books, and games for a rainy day and wifi access is flawless. We found everything we wanted here for a lovely family vacation. It was peaceful, homey, beautiful, convenient, and welcoming. We hope to find ourselves here again one holiday. Traumurlaub

Fantastische Villa in herrlicher Lage

Really nice villa in a pleasant seaside resort

The villa is situated on a residential road about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Cavalaire and the beach. The road up to the villa from town is very steep - we had a buggy and it was a tough push up the hill, so it would not be great if you had mobility problems. Cavalaire itself is a very nice resort with a good beach, a marina and lots of little shops and restuarants, all quite reasonably priced. There is a Spar and a Carrefour in the town for all your food shopping. It is a short drive from St Topez. The villa is a good size, with two good sized double bedrooms, a large dining/lounge area and a medium sized kitchen. It can feel a little dark but then this keeps the villa cool in the heat of the day. The decor wasn't quite to our tastes and felt a little dated but was absolutely fine. The villa is very well stocked with board games, books, dvds, satellite tv (with an incredible number of channels, including all the UK ones), wifi, towels, cutlery, crockery, linen and cooking utensils. The garden is gravel (which wasn't great for our 10-month old, who kept trying to eat the stones) but is beautifully laid out and there is a BBQ and tables and chairs for outdoor dining. We did get quite badly bitten by mosquitos even though nets for the beds are provided, so it would be a good idea to bring some repellent. All-in-all, a really nice villa in a lovely resort, would definitely recommend.

Villa Amandiere - Cavalaire

My family and I visited the villa amandiere in December 2009 for a week. What a lovely villa, so homely, and spacious. It is in a quiet road with no traffic and the neighbours all said hello to us! It is a home as the owner said in the details, all the games, jigsaws, kitchen equipment - including a lovely gaz bbq on the terrace which we were lucky enough to be able to use at lunchtimes. Although it was not that hot the sun was lovely and the beaches empty and so many beautiful walks. We will certainly go back perhaps in the spring when the mimosa is supposed to be fantastic. Generally great value for money and so lovely to find a homely rental.

I have had my holidays in Cavalaire since 1968! although Cavalaire has changed it has become a friendly village with bars and restaurants open all year. When I was a child we had to collect the ice in a straw bag from the man cutting the blocks of ice at the end of the road, so it has definitely changed for the better. The villa was originally my parents house, and now we spend a lot of time there ourselves, holidaying and gardening! Personally I love the beaches and sea. We snorkel and swim a lot and now I scuba dive as well. We hire boats for the day from the rental company in the village, always a wonderful day out.
Although it is easy to drive from england, we normally fly, either into nice or Marseilles- and then hire a car. We search the Internet for the best deals and do not find it expensive. Although not imperative it is useful to have a car for the holiday, some of the best beaches are a few miles out of Cavalaire.
We eat at home mostly, however we do love the variety of restaurants in the village, but we enjoy shopping in the local shops to cook a BBQ in the garden.
I love having my cafe au lait at the local cafes in the morning, after my early morning swim- such a treat to sit and watch the world go by!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The villa is only a ten minute walk into the centre of the village ( slightly longer back up the hill) but its situation allows a very peaceful stay with wonderful views. The garden we try and keep to a high standard, with a variety of Mediterranean plants. We love having our aperitif on the terrace watching the sun go down behind the Mauree hills, and then in summer, autumn and spring eating outside. The villa is traditional, so cool in the heat and warm in the winter. Although we are letting it successfully, primarily it is our home, and we keep all the useful items there that would be useful to visitors.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We use good quality linen and towels, we do nearly all the cleaning ourselves so ensuring a very high standard - cleaning products, soaps etc are always available. The garden is lovely, and we have focused on outdoor eating and relaxing. There is a beautiful large wooden hammock, as well as sun loungers for your use. A few years ago we made use of a corner of the garden that was not being utilised, and built a decked terrace which now has a set of outdoor chairs and table together with outside lighting. It has proved a great success and we use the area a lot ourselves. There is a full sized table tennis table and bats and balls for guests use.
A hot tub/spa- this is an intex 6 person spa and has proved very successful.
We keep a small amount of toys for use for the children in the garden and games inside. We welcome all children. We have a travel cot, high chair and child's toilet seat for your use.
In the villa we have many games, jigsaws, CDs, DVDs, Internet access, smart tv and a DVD player. We as a family love playing the traditional games when we are there, although the tv is useful if the weather is not at its best!
We continually try to update the villa and it's contents, and have a visitors book for any suggestions.
Last but certainly very important is the wifi.
The WiFi is fibre wifi and the router is in the hall where there is a desk and a chair for your use.

For winter stays there are electric heaters in each room but also an electric fire in the fireplace and 2 calor gas heaters which heat the rooms quickly. Unlike modern houses Provençal villas do not retain the heat so the heaters are instant heat.
Whilst the days are often blue and sunny it can still be a little chilly so we also provide extra blankets for your use. Please bear this in mind when booking a winter stays.
