Upper Stables Apartment - 2 bed, first floor apartment in great location close to the sea.
Formed from a former stable block the Upper Stable Apartment occupies the whole of the first floor of the property. It is located just a stone's throw away from a large grassy clifftop area known as Daddyhole Plain from which there are stunning sea views.
The Upper Stables Apartment features a stunning open plan living space with original beamed ceiling. There is a well equipped kitchen. The open plan living space also has a seating area with an L shaped leather sofa and dining table. There is a large TV and broadband WIFI is included in the rate.
The apartment has two bedrooms. The first has a king sized bed (UK size 5 foot width) and the second has two singles.
There is also a modern family bathroom with a bath and shower over..
Well equipped flat in good location , a few improvements would make a big difference
The flat was generally clean and well equipped ( but see below ) , and the site manager was readily available .
However the lobby was not very welcoming - damp and did not seem recently cleaned.
the drain outside the front door needed to be cleared - it flooded to several inches of water in heavy rain
The kitchen tap was really difficult to turn off correctly ,
There was no good reading light throughout the apartment .
Cleaning items such as disinfectant wipes - we looked but could not find any- so not readily available or indicated in info supplied . The sink mop , cloth etc looked well past their best .
this was a relatively expensive week at ÂŁ1600 - so these things would be expected I think .
( Glad not to have to use the wood burner this seemed fraught with H & S issues ) Recommendation is with these changes
Great short stay in The Stables with our two small dogs. Everything we needed in the apartment - including a doggie basket with a throw, towel and treats! Very comfortable and clean We will definitely be back. Stunning views from just outside the property and only a short walk to the beach (some steps). We walked to/from town - it was slightly hilly, and some of the road did not have pavement but did not take long and wonderful to be on the English Riviera.
