We had a great time with my family in this lovely cottage: very comfortable and cozy, in a beautiful area.
THank you so much!
We'll be happy to come back.
Really cosy cottage, lovely decorations for Xmas, great woodburner for warmth. Amazing bath and shower room. Great dog walks from the back door to various coves and beaches. Just a shame the local inn is undergoing renovations as it looks great. Weâll just have to come back and try it when itâs open again!
Beautiful period cottage in a quiet location thatâs great for reaching any part of Torbay. Coves and beaches are nearby and shops as needed. Hope to return.
Wonderful cosy cottage, great host, perfect for our stay, good walks to Brixham and Paignton. Locals are so friendly, highly recommend The New Quay Inn and The Manor pubs đ great restaurants, Simply fish and Rockfish. Delicious crab Benny in The curious kitchen.
Second visit from Australia. This cottage has everything we needed to make our stay a comfortable one. Many beautiful walking trails on our door step. Wonderful hosts always available if needed.
Beautifully equipped cottage. Very nice quiet location in village. Checking in process good. Cosy and very clean. Nice courtyard with seating and planting.A couple of suggestions to consider - I was astonished to find no welcoming pack as there is a picture of a cream tea in the cottage on the website. Misleading !! What's more not a tea bag/coffee/milk in the place. I have never had this happen in over 30 years of self catering. And in this day and age a welcoming pack is expected and I've had some beauties! To arrive late afternoon on Sunday after a 3 hour drive gasping for a cuppa - to have to then go straight out and find somewhere to buy tea was really disappointing and annoying. I admit it put a dampner on the arrival. Also I would suggest lining the back bedroom curtains as they are thin and from 4am the li9ght comes through and it would be impossible to sleep. Especially if you don't want youngsters getting you up at the crack of dawn:)However, I certainly recommend this cottage and would stay again
We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at this lovely cottage which had everything we needed including a lovely courtyard for a evening drink. Good location and had we stayed longer we would have done some of the various walks that are right on the doorstep. Good meal at the Railway pub and a nice farm shop just down the road.
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage.
It had everything we needed. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. Easy parking, and a fun walk to the sea for our boys. Great base to visit lots of the coastal areas.
The property is beautiful with lots of character. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and happily would recommend the property to others. Parking no problem outside, Brixham is only a short distance down the road and what a beautiful place Brixham is. Paignton and Torquay are nearby so plenty to see and do.
Our second visit to the cottage, cosy little cottage in a great location for walks to Brixham, Goodrington and Paignton. Bus stop very close if you want to go further.
Private courtyard is a bonus if you have the weather to sit out.
Highly recommend.
Hi. Thank you for taking an interest in Autumn Rose. My name is Abigail Gibbs and I was fortunate to have grown up in the area along with my two brothers, and I was very excited to have acquired this lovely cottage in Churston Ferrers Brixham. I am an author, proof reader and editor. I spend some of my spare time here writing, , its where I can enjoy the peace , quiet and solitude required to pen that next chapter.
The reason I fell in love with this cottage in particular, it felt authentic and maintained a traditional cottage feel . . My first viewing was in the winter and it was especially inviting and cosy and I knew immediately there was little point looking any further.. The location is convenient as I have yet to learn to drive, Brixham and the bus stop are so near to hand, for that much needed coffee, after a long night writing. (Yes that's when it all happens) I also love walking and in no time at all you can be on the South West Coastal Path, a long trek and plenty of fresh air is perfect for plotting the next storyline.
The cottage is well equipped for children, so they won't be bored. I cherish memories of holidays where quality time was spent with my parents, sometimes just enjoying the simplest pleasures
