Great Palazzo, at short walk from the Aquarium and the main city’s sights. Piazza De Ferrari, Genoa’s main square, Via Garibaldi and Palazzo Ducale, are at 300 meters, St. Lawrence Cathedral and the Old Port (from where leave boats to Cinque Terre and Portofino) are at 600 meters. Very luxury neighbourhood embedded in the old town. Metro station and bus stop are just behind the corner. Both Genova Principe and Brignole train stations can be reached with a short walk. Parking facilities (charges are applied). Supermarkets, shopping area, bars and restaurants in the vicinity.
The flat is totally renovated and furnished with decor. Two sleeping rooms. Very modern complete kitchen. Dining facilities and living area. Flat TV, internet WiFi (flat broadband) and AC. Lovely bathroom with walk in shower. The building is served by an elevator, something not so common in a mediaeval city (note however a small flight of stairs is not served by the lift).

An enchanting apartment in Genoa

Immaculate, modern apartment in an elegant historic building; ideal location, convenient check-in. This was the perfect place to stay for our first overseas trip with the kids (4 and 6). I would stay here again and again, and recommend to friends. I only wish we could have stayed longer...

Historic Genoa

Great place and modern interior in an old historic building with a beautiful staircase. Lots of amenities, esp ac and washing machine. Very close to acquarium and other shops and places to eat. Only one problem, we did not have consistent hot water for the shower, we called the owner and he came out and sent a plumber, but it didn’t resolve the problem, But everything else was fine!

Great location!

Great location. It was a stopping point so we only got to enjoy it for about 15 hours. Please add to video that it is down a flight of stairs to get to front door and lock box :) GPS when driving can’t get in front of building. Parking in Royal Garage was great. It has a 24 hour guard. I wish there were more pillows and better pillows but sheets and apartment were clean so that was good. There was a lot of early morning street noise but I guess that’s the downside of a great location.

Very convenient location

Had a bit of a communication issue with Andrea due to my lack of service in Europe but it all got worked out. The location of the apartment was incredibly convenient and close to everything we wanted - the opera, biosphere, etc. It also had some really tasty local restaurants nearby. The apartment had most everything you'd need. The shower is a nice size as are the beds. There was also a washing machine but no detergent. The apartment was pretty chilly (maybe it's just because we're desert dwellers) and we had some issues trying to figure out how to warm it up. I'd recommend leaving additional towels (I use one for my body and one for hair, and my boyfriend needed one as well...there were only two) and maybe an extra blanket. The beds had only one blanket, no sheets, and no additional blankets in any of the storage (there's usually extra stuff in a closet in most AirBnBs/VRBOs we've stayed at). The fridge had a mini bottle of prosecco in it which was a nice touch. Be prepared to climb lots of stairs, although there is a small elevator - good to burn off all the food you eat! It would also be helpful to know that there's a taxi pickup station on the other side of the fountain. We waited quite a while outside the apartment trying to flag down a taxi (even tried calling a taxi company on the phone) when we could've just walked 1/4 mile to a taxi area. All in all the apartment had everything we needed and was centrally located. Close to local attractions, restaurants, fountain, and opera.

Hi. Thanks for your stay and review. The heating system is regulated by a thermostat set a 21 degrees, normally a temperature more than sufficient. If you had just informed us we would have however increased it. We provide a set of towels per guest and a set of sheets, this is the normal standard for a two day stay. We provide toilet paper, hand soap, washing up soap and other basics such as coffee, tea etc. but not washing machine detergent. Staires? We have an elevator, however Genoa is an hilly city full of slopes....one should not be surprised about staires.

Excellent séjour dans cet appartement bien situé et calme

Très bon appartement pour les 5 personnes que nous étions. Idéalement situé dans le centre avec accès piéton aux principaux centres d'intérêt. Très calme malgré sa situation centrale. Notre seule remarque est qu'il pourrait y avoir plus de vaiselle (verres, couverts etc...).

Idéal

Un bel appartement entièrement neuf dans un immeuble ancien, chargé d'histoire et parfaitement entretenu dans le respect des murs. Le positionnement est parfait en plein centre de Gênes. Les propriétaires sont disponibles pour vous faciliter le séjour. A conseiller !

Appartement très agréable et très bien situé.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Gênes (3 nuits, 5 pers. début août 2016). L'appartement est très bien situé en plein centre historique, supermarché et parking à coté. Il est très agréable, tout neuf et décoré avec goût, il dispose de toutes les commodités. Le propriétaire est très gentil et donne de bons conseils sur les visites et la région. Très belle prestation que nous recommandons.

Un séjour très agréable

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour de quatre nuits dans l'appartement moderne et parfaitement équipé du très sympathique Andrea , qui nous a donné de bons conseils , et a été totalement disponible pour notre séjour . L'appartement est idéalement situé dans le centre de Gênes , tout près du Métro et des bus , a deux pas des commerces et du centre historique majestueux de Gênes et de la via Garibaldi et de ses somptueux palais . D'ailleurs l'appartement d'Andrea est situé dans un ancien palais rénové , calme et avec l'ascenseur . Nous vous recommandons vivement ce logement clair , design et la visite de Genes et de ses alentours ( Nervi ...) Merci beaucoup Andrea pour votre accueil.

Agréable expérience!

Nous étions quatre amis et un enfant de 4 ans et nous avons adoré l'appartement d'Andréa et Alessandra. Décoré avec beaucoup de goût, l'appartement est idéalement placé dans un ancien palais en plein coeur historique, très calme, pourvu de toutes les commodités. On s'y sent vraiment très bien. A recommander!

Great apartment in great location

We stayed 3 nights with a family of 4. The apartment was great. Newly renovated, well equipped with all needed (incl Nespresso cafe machine). The location is just perfect, everything is in walking distance (5 min to the Aquarium, the old city or public transport) and 15 min to the train station for Cinque Terre. Very quiet and nice neighborhood with shops and restaurants. On top our host, Andrea was very welcoming, helpful and very accommodating. I have nothing else to say that I truly recommend this place for a stay in Genoa.

The heart of Centro Storico

We had a 3 day stay and everything went very well. If it is hot, ask for air conditioning. The apartment was nice and cool and quiet. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was great. There is a washing machine. But no detergent for clothes. Bring your own and also soap and shampoo. The kitchen is well supplied with dishes and pots. The Nespresso was very nice to have. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location

We stayed from april 24 to april 27 . The apartment was perfect the loctaion was fantastic we walked everywhere. Andrea was very useful he gave us a lot of information. The apartment was as the pictures. We had a nice stay and recommend the apartment.

Loved the apartment and location but be aware there are stairways to be negotiated in the area.

The apartment was lovely, modern, bright and very clean. However be warned that there a quite a few stairs to be negotiated in the area before you reach the elevator. The location is superb. We found it quite quiet and yet so close to many of the main tourist features of Genoa/Genova. Our host Andrea was helpful and efficient. We used a taxi from the main railway station and it wasn't too expensive. We would stay here again but with lighter suit cases!

Dear Benn, thanks for your nice review. We are happy you enjoyed at full your stay at Casa Acquario. Regarding stairs, this are regularly indicated and shown in some pictures. Genova is a Medieval city, built on a little hill stairs, likewise up and downslopes are part if its essence.

Perfect apartment for visiting Genova and Cinque Terre

We stayed at Casa Acqaurio for 5 nights in January 2016. The location of this apartment is perfect, across the street from Metro station De Ferrari. The Aquarium is only 5 minute walk from the apartment. It is also an easy walk to the old center. The apartment is very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The pictures posted on this listing is what you get and nothing less. We felt safe while staying at the apartment. Both Andrea and Alessandra are very friendly and helpful. They sat down with us to go over the places to visit and how to get there, also recommended places to eat and local desserts to try. They are very responsive when we used WhatsApp to communicate for quick questions. If you are thinking about going to Genova, make it a destination. There are so much to see and to do. It is a good home base for different side trips. If you are going to Genova, Casa Acqaurio a great choice. We hope to come back to Casa Acqaurio one day to visit the places that we missed on this trip.

Abbiamo trascorso una settimana in 4 persone (due adulti e due ragazzi) in questo confortevole appartamento situato in posizione strategica: pieno centro, ma tranquillo e silenzioso, a due passi da Piazza De Ferrari e dal comodissimo COOP (aperto anche di domenica) da cui ci siamo riforniti quotidianamente. Situato al terzo piano di un palazzo dei Rolli, l'appartamento è appena stato ristrutturato. È tutto nuovissimo, tanto l'arredo che gli elettrodomestici. Comodissime le abbondanti prese elettriche per caricare tutti gli apperecchietti che ognuno porta con sè: telefonini, tablet, video e fotocamera. WiFi perfettamente funzionante. Per chi viene da lontano, c'è un parcheggio a pagamento a pochi passi, ma Genova si visita a piedi, e da questo appartamento tutto risulta vicino: l'Acquario, il porto, la cattedrale, le due stazioni (Brignole e Principe). E - ciliegina - Andrea e Tonina sono veramente gentili e molto simpatici. Davvero consigliatissimo.

Appartamento nuovo in centro

Abbiamo soggiornato per 3 giorni in quattro (2 adulti e 2 ragazzi) in questo comodissimo appartamento. La posizione è perfetta, in centro ma zona tranquilla nelle immediate vicinanze del parcheggio a pagamento, di supermercato ed a soli 600 m dell'acquario. L'appartamento è dotato di tutto il necessario, se si volesse trovare un difetto direi che manca la lavastoviglie. Il bagno è comodissimo. Dotato di aria condizionata e collegamento ad internet WiFi abbastanza veloce. Palazzo antico e signorile. Andrea, il proprietario, è stato molto gentile e disponibile. Consigliatissimo.

En piso perfecto para descubrir Génova

El apartamento está en una localización inmejorable muy cercano a la Piazza Ferrari, próximo a todo tipo de comercios y servicios, se puede acceder caminando a muchas de las atracciones de la ciudad. Tanto las habitaciones como el baño son espaciosos. Si volvemos a Génova, seguro repetiremos.
