The loft is a very special place to stay. It has been very thoughtfully designed, with all creature comforts, yet in such a historic building. The location is superb - everything you need on the doorstep. Iâd love to come back and can highly recommend.
We admired the way this apartment has been renovated.
The architecture and choice of materials and furniture is uniq. Makes you feel very comfortable and "at home". The view fra the terrace is wonderful and the short distance to everything in Vence, including a P-house, makes this apartment perfect.
Our third stay here - so it must be good. The best features are the spacious and stylish living area and the roof top balcony (accessed via small spiral stair case)
A real haven in beautiful Vence.
Schön renovierte Altbauwohnung mitten in lebhaftem KĂŒnstlerstĂ€dtchen
The location of the loft is ideal for those who want to be in the old city of Vence. it is steps away from one of the main city doors, and steps away from great restaurants and shops. The loft has a spacious living room with an open kitchen, which has good amenities. the bedroom is cramped. The views from the living room are great. the terrace upstairs has beautiful views, but it gets very hot during the day, and is hard to access, with spiral, narrow stairs.
On the negative side, the loft is dusty, and could use better cleaning. I did quite a bit of cleaning the first couple of days to try to get rid of the smell (and it helped). The pillows in the bedroom were old and smelly, so we ended up buying 3 new ones, which we left in the left.
As for parking, we tried to find the 7 euros one but did not succeed; however, an older gentleman told us to avoid it anyway, because it is not monitored and his mirror was broken in it. Best is to park in one of the main lots (Toreille, Jardin), then go to the office at level -1 in Jardin and get the weekly pass for 55 euros, unlimited entries. In our case, Toreille did not have any weekly passes left, so we had to stay at Jardin.
Note that you are pretty much on your own. The agent arranged for us to pick up the key from her father, who lives nearby, but we never saw her. Basic questions like where do we throw the garbage took her more than 24 hours to answer. when we left, we had to throw the key inside her dad's home because no one was there to take it from us.
Really lovely apartment just inside the old city, so steps from all the action. Beautiful views from living room and upper terrace. Ubiquitous mopeds and revving motorcycles made it a necessity at times to have the windows closed, but the double paned windows did well at muting the noise. Owner responsive and helpful. Finding free parking was a challenge on most days, but we ultimately found one every day for two weeks.
Spacious comfortable apartment with stunning views
Being built in the walls of the old town this apartment has lots of charm and the views of the mountains from it are stunning. While we stayed the weather was unusually wet but as the apartment had all of the facilities we required and was very spacious the bad weather did not really cause a problem. There are many places of interest in the town only a short walk from the flat which we would recommend including Matisseâs chapel, the cathedral and the food shops in the old town along Rue du Marche. We would stay again.
Alles, was man benötigt, ist vorhanden.
My wife and I spent a long weekend here in March and got lucky with the weather, which was high teens every day. The apartment is located in the centre of Vence but is tucked away back from the main shops, restaurants etc, giving it a private, quiet feel. Within 2 minutes walk of the nearest convenience shop, restaurant, bar and boulangerie, it couldn't be better situated. Then there is the terrace and the incredible views over the foothills of the Alps one way and a teasing glimpse of the Med in the other - perfect for a croissant and a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. Bizarrely, despite being in a town the terrace is not overlooked at all and is therefore very private. All in all a great stay and we will be back! Thanks to the owners
Situated in the walls of this medieval old town, and accessed from an unassuming entrance off one of the beautiful cobbled streets, this flat is a real gem hidden away on the second floor at the top of the original stone spiral staircase. Its been stylishly and tastefully modernised with the decor reflecting both the buildings ancient character and Vence's art culture. We stay for a week as a family of 4 with two young children, and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The views from the small terrace of the surrounding hills and countryside are simply stunning, and a great place to watch the sunset! The old town in Vence is really charming and being traffic free is a great place to wander through the cobbled alleyways with kids and enjoy a coffee and browse the many local galleries. Vence is also a great base to easily explore the coastline from Nice to Cannes. Although we spent a lot of time at the local beach at Cagnes-sur-Mer which was great for kids with calm seas, and we found to be nicer and quieter than the more expense private beaches in Antibes. Would highly recommend the family run restaurant Auberge Des Segneurs.

We are based in the UK and we spend many holidays in Vence with our children. We love the swimming pool in Vence, the beaches at Cagnes sur Mer, nearby villages St Jeannet and Tourettes sur Loup. We love the restaurants, markets and general hubbub of Vence life.
An excellent bolt hole at the heart of the Cote d'Azur. Vence is a lively town and is ideally located for the coast and for the nearby towns of Grasse, St Jeannet, St Paul, Nice, Cannes, Antibes. With many fabulous Michelin stared restaurants a mere 2 minute walk from the apartment and a super market every Tuesday and Friday, you won't go hungry.
Modernised 2010 - brand new bathroom and fully fitted kitchen. Oven and induction hob, dishwasher and washing machine. The apartment is air conditioned and has a super terrace that overlooks the mountains. The terrace is completely private and is not overlooked.
