This two-bedroom apartment is in the Las Adelfas complex in Nueva Alcantara, a first-line beach position in San Pedro de Alcantara. The beach is around 50m away, directly across the road from the complex entrance. It sleeps up to four guests. The apartment is on the first floor and arranged on a single level, with a south-facing terrace overlooking the communal pool and gardens. The terrace is connected directly to the main living area and receives sun through most of the day, while the pool and mature greenery create a more open outlook than many apartments within the complex. Inside, the apartment combines practical living spaces with a more traditional layout. The living and dining area opens onto the terrace through large sliding doors, while the independent kitchen is positioned separately from the main living space. The layout works well for guests wanting clear separation between the bedrooms and shared living areas. The pool, gardens and beach access are all within a short walk from the apartment entrance.

The Terrace
The terrace overlooks the communal pool and mature gardens from a first-floor position, with an open and unobstructed outlook across the centre of the complex. One of the pools sit below, making the terrace feel closely connected to the outdoor areas without being at ground level. A covered pergola provides shade over part of the terrace, which is arranged with a dining table and chairs as well as a separate lounge sofa seating area. The combination of covered and open space allows the terrace to be used at different times of day, whether for meals, reading or time outside. The south-facing orientation means the terrace receives sun through most of the day, while the garden and pool views create a more open setting than many apartments within the complex.
Location
The apartment is in the Las Adelfas complex in Nueva Alcántara, the beachside neighbourhood of San Pedro de Alcantara. San Pedro beach is around 50 metres away on foot, directly across the road from the complex entrance. The beach is wide and generally uncrowded. The sand is darker and slightly coarse, typical of this stretch of the Costa del Sol, and in some areas the shoreline can be slightly stony when entering the water, so aqua shoes can be useful. The promenade runs along the seafront for several kilometres and connects directly to Puerto Banus to the east. Many guests are surprised that you can walk all the way there along the seafront. It is lined with beach restaurants (chiringuitos), cafes, cycle lanes and playgrounds. Walking there along the promenade takes around 30 to 40 minutes.

San Pedro itself is quieter than Puerto Banus and is a proper Spanish town with a year-round community. Local restaurants, bars and supermarkets are all within easy reach. The nearest supermarket is around 15 minutes away. Puerto Banus is 10 to 15 minutes by car, or accessible along the promenade. For day trips further along the coast or into the hills, a car is useful but not essential for daily life. Day to day, most guests settle into a simple pattern: morning at the pool or on the beach, lunch at one of the chiringuitos along the promenade, and afternoons back on the terrace with the awning out. Puerto Banus is a short drive if you want something livelier, but most guests find they do not need to go far.

The area has a typical Mediterranean climate with long warm summers and mild winters. Being on the coast, sea breezes keep temperatures noticeably cooler than inland Andalusia, particularly in the height of summer. Spring and autumn are often particularly good for walking, golf and outdoor dining. Winter can bring cooler and occasionally rainy spells, which surprises some guests. December to February are the quieter months and while sunny days are common, pack layers and do not rely on beach weather.

The apartment has more individual character than many others within the Las Adelfas complex, with a mix of eclectic furnishings and decorative details throughout the living space. The Complex

The beach, nearest chiringuitos and restaurants are all within a short walk. It is a mix of holiday homes and permanent residents with a settled neighbourhood feel. Las Adelfas is a no-party urbanisation. The building has a lift.
Pool season: one pool is open from the start of Easter week until approximately the end of October. A second pool operates during peak summer, in July and August only. Both pools are closed from late October until Easter week. Opening and closing dates may vary depending on weather conditions, and daily opening times are set by the Las Adelfas administration.

What a nice location in an amazingly spacious flat area beside the beach.
It's unusual to find such a well laid out beachside development with all the old town facilities just a few hundred yards away. Plenty of nice eateries nearby particularly liked Da Bruno, Tanino's and Mar-abierta. Also liked the palm tree lined paseo with loads of parking alongside, and the separate local pathways for joggers and cyclists.
The apartment was very clean, there was plenty of storage space, a very neat dishwasher. Only used the aircon on one occasion - worked fine. All regular UK tv stations. All in all, excellent thank you.

Property was lovely excellent position however the communication with owners was very very disappointing. Unbeknown to us a complete renovation of the next door property started halfway through our stay the horrendous noise was daily from 9 till 7 pm it was extremely stressful our holiday was completely spoilt, we could not stay in the apartment during the day. We reported it to the owner Coleen who was not interested at all. No phone call no visit to the property We will not he booking again

Thank you for taking the time to comment. However please next time make sure you leave feedback in full. It is true I did not visit but that is because my colleague Vilma did. She was in the building for the 4 days of the building work during your stay. We also contacted the administration to make sure the property doing the building had the proper licences. Myself and Thomas were in touch with you also via whatsapp and email. We offered you the chance to move and we would refund you the remaining nights. However you declined this option. As well as failing to mention all the above you failed to mention that we did give a partial refund. By organising all of the above I am not quite sure how you can say I was not interested at all. I did state that due to the building laws in Spain notice is not needed to be given so it is not something we know about in advance and this is why in our terms and conditions we can not be held liable for noise outside of our control. But I certainly did not act with no interest.

We had a wonderful stay and were very happy with everything.
The urbanization itself is quite large, with two huge swimming pools. It is not brand new, but it is very well maintained and has a very welcoming, pleasant atmosphere. The apartment is also not the newest, but it is very clean, bright, and comfortable, with a lovely terrace where we spent a lot of time. The bathrooms and plumbing are in excellent condition, and we had no issues with the kitchenits equipment. We had a fantastic holiday and were able to relax completely. The location is excellent - very close to the beach and a beautiful promenade. There is also a great fitness club just across the road. The pools are perfect both for children and for adults, with plenty of space and a good depth for swimming. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. Everything was well organized, timely, and professional. Many thanks to Colleen and team for their hospitality. We definitely recommend!

Die Bausubstanz ist sehr hellhörig. Wir hatten leider sehr laute und nachtaktive Übermieter, was anstrengend war.
Das Bett im Master Bedroom ist klein und hat eine sehr harte Matratze.
Der Rest top, vor allem die Lage in San Pedro!

The location "literally' right next to beach cannot be beaten and the town of San Pedro is close by with its mix of old spanish town and modern facilities. Lots going on here without the hedonistic noise and activities of Marbella and other location on the Costa del Sol. The rental agency is very attentive and responsive and looked after our needs as promptly as possible. Cannot give a better recommendation for this property and agency.
