Very happy with the accommodations. The place was exactly as described and in a very good location relative to downtown Bar Harbor. Would definitely stay again.
Cute house and such an easy walk to all the shops and restaurants in Bar Harbor. We stayed with our 2 young daughters and the house was perfect for our family. It has many small rooms which makes sense since it was built in 1900 but quite charming, nice fenced in yard and very clean and comfortable!
This was our first time Maine and Bar Harbor. Worried about the expense of parkingâwhich we learned was always payâwe wanted something close to shopping and restaurants. This house was perfect. There was lots of room, kitchen amply stocked with dishes and cookware (tho we ate out). It was easy to find and host was very responsive. Would definitely like to return to Bar Harbor and this location.
Cute cottage in great location! Our family of 5 had plenty of room to spread out and relax while visiting Acadia and Bar Harbor. House was as pictured and very clean. The owner responded promptly when we had a minor issue. Nice yard and fire pit. Easily walkable to shops and restaurants in bar harbor!!
We were staying to get my son married and it was wonderful! The side yard was just perfect for the family to gather and roast marshmallows and tell stories of the happy couple. The house was great! Wish we could of opened the front door to access the beautiful porch more easily but it did not take away from out fabulous time.
Everything about the house and location is as described. This couldnât have been a better trip! The house is gorgeous and perfect as a home base for day trips as well as hanging out for down time. The location makes it easy to walk into Bar Harbor for shops and food. Itâs a convenient drive to many Acadia locations. The owner was very responsive when we messaged a question. We highly recommend and would stay here again!
Our family visited the area to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary.
It was our first time visiting the Bar Harbor/Acadia area and the cottage was a great location to enjoy all of what the area had to offer. Great restaurants, shopping, beautiful scenery and outdoor activity was all in close proximity. We traveled as a family of 5 and the cottage was comfortable for all.
We had a wonderful weekend at Meganâs beautiful home. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds very comfortable. We loved coming together as a family around the firepit each evening. We also loved that the house was in easy walking distance to main street and hiking trails. We canât wait to return!
We loved staying at this house in Bar Harbor. It was clean, comfortable, homey. Well supplied for our stay. Location in town put almost everything within walking distance. Great weather and the closeness to Acadia made for a perfect stay.
The house was a nice short walk to town, quiet street, and also walkable to an awesome playground that was outside of the immediate downtown. You need a driveway since the streets are almost all pay or permit required, this house has one. Everything included, a charming and stocked kitchen with dishwasher, lots of games, and TVs with Roku. We made a fire in the fire pit for smores which was fun but requires a permit from fire dept (outlined on fridge and NBD). Would love to stay again!!
I came to visit BH in 2007 and fell in love. Bought this home in 2009 to enjoy with my family. We were the second family in 100 years to own this remarkable home in the village of Bar Harbor. My kids and dogs enjoyed playing in the big fenced in yard. Making smores and playing yard games was a summer must. The proximity to everything in the village, restaurants, church, YMCA, farmers market, grocery, shops, bars, iconic golf course, the shoreline, hikes and Acadia are only footsteps away. This home is truly a gem and I know you will fall in love as much as I did 18 years ago. Staying here can only provide smiles.
This vibrant and friendly neighborhood offers the quintessential small-town charm with unbeatable walkability. Just steps from your front door, youâll find yourself immersed in everything Bar Harbor has to offerâwhether itâs world-class hiking in Acadia National Park, a quick game of pickleball, skatepark sessions, or catching a ball game on the nearby fields.
Enjoy your morning coffee from the front porch as the iconic 4th of July parade marches by, or join in the Halloween excitement as this beloved block welcomes over 1,000 trick-or-treaters annually. With the hospital, doctorâs offices, library, churches, movie theater, shoreline, shops, and top-rated restaurants all within walking distance, thereâs truly no need for a car.
This neighborhood is more than a locationâitâs a lifestyle. A warm, welcoming community where everything is at your fingertips.
Over 125 years old and has charm and New England elegance The big beautiful yard is what stands out on this property because you can enjoy family games with plenty of room to run and play, lay in the grass and have a picnic or read a book, cook smores on a firepit, all within a beautiful white picket fence. There is a very long driveway that can park up to 4 cars and it has an RV hookup. The inside boasts a newly updated kitchen, a traditional dining room, a nautical themed living room with a pull out queen sleeper and a big gas fireplace, new washer and dryer in the basement, and as of 2024, a fully remodeled bath upstairs. The front porch, you can sit on a rocker and enjoy a cup of coffee with a blanket around you while listening to the birds. Play outside or picnic with your family on the beautiful fenced in yard. This home is cozy and charming and we promise, you won't want to leave.
