My family and I truly enjoyed our stay Villa Del Palmar
The property was every bit as beauty and luxurious as the owner described in his advertisement. It had all of the luxuries of home and the staff was wonderful from day one until we loaded our bags for departure for home. To be fair, the only issue that I can mention as a problem for us, was internet service not being included in the rental price. For the cost of this rental, this basic service should be included because cell phones don't even work without internet on most locations of the resort. This issue aside, I would rate my stay at Villa Del Palmar a 9 out of 10, and only because there is always room for improvement. Thanks Kerry for your honesty, recommendations and ease of reserving and making my stay a wonderful experience.
This condo was exactly as described. Perfect for my family of five. Clean and nicely decorated. Three full bathrooms and the murphy bed really came in handy. We had a glitch in our arrival time into Mexico and Kerry the owner was nice enough to reschedule our transport to the resort. The bell hop gave us some good tips on where to shop for food and beverages, rental cars, and the condo layout. We would NOT recommend renting your own car because the Cancun Police seem to have them pulled over to ticket/fine a lot. Cancun traffic is crazy. There is a Superama/Walmart about 20 minutes down the road. We bought breakfast food and snacks and water. We did visit 3 of the restaurants on the grounds. All very good but pricey if you don't get the all inclusive plan. Beware of the complimentary breakfast the morning after you check in. It is a time share shpeel that will waste 4 hours of your day. We did the Isla Mujeres trip on the Catamaran with snorkeling. Would have liked to spend more time on the Isla, but they only give you 2 hours of free time. Next time, we may just take the ferry ride and spend the day. We also went to the Explor water park in the afternoon/evening. Seven different zip lines and underwater caves. Loads of fun. ( bring water shoes). .No issues with safety. The resort itself was wonderful...3 different pools and hot tubs. Spa ,Starbucks, and mini mart on site. The only thing I might do different next time, is to check out the deal with Costco. I saw the same resort listed in their vacation book that would be all inclusive. One other note, they are in the process of building a 5 Diamond resort right next to Villa del Palmar. It gets a little loud with construction machinery when you are out by the pool or beach. Regular 8am-6pm hours though, so no noise at night. And, if you do venture out in the ocean, beware of the Mexican fire coral. My husband rubbed up against it. Thought we were gonna make a trip the emergency care station. They say vinegar takes the sting/pain away. We were fresh out, so we used hydrocortisone cream we bought at the mini mart.
