Dear Veronica, We were quite surprised by your review and want to clarify. Our company has over 20 years of experience, managing 60 properties, and this property has a 9.0 rating out of 10. The main issue is that the keys were not returned by you correctly. You first said they were left at a pharmacy (not the designated point), then confirmed the correct location, but the keynest reported they never received them. Now you mention you left them at the market. This caused confusion and required a lock change and extra keys made for our operation. We only charged the €30 call-out fee stated in our messages. Guests are reminded to read the full property description, which clearly states the self-catering setup (we always provide toilet paper for a couple days) and the €5 per night fee is charged as per information on your reservation for 3rd and 4th guests

Hello Richard, We are always glad to receive reviews and believe in constructive criticism so that we can improve our services. However, I am a little stunned at your comments regarding skimping on furnishing. This apartment has been carefully decorated with Persian carpets and luxurios furniture from elite stores and Smeg appliances. If you had mentioned that you wanted sofer pillows, we could have arranged this for you....some like it hard...some like it soft...These are self catering apartments and although we put enough soaps, toilet paper, shampoos etc for 2-3 night stays, guests staying for longer periods know they need to purchase the items that they may need for the remainder of their stay. The ceiling fans needed new batteries and are now operational. The apartment has high ceilings and with a few exceptions when we are having heat waves, is quite pleasant throuhout the summer and winter. This is Lisbon and not a quiet city but most guests know that and enjoy that about Lisbon. I do hope we can host you again...perhaps not in the centre of Lisbon...you probably will enjoy some of our apartment in quieter areas in Cascais or Sintra. Really sorry it was a disappointing experience for you, as most of our guests have been thrilled with the apartment and the area. I confess we are more used to 5 star reviews than your rating but appreciate the time you have taken to submit the review and will improve where we can. Best of luck Portugal Portfolio.

Dear Chris, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. I am very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the apartment and the location. Unlike hotels our apartments are indeed self catering and as many stays in Lisbon are not for much longer than 3 days, the cleaning teams only leave enough items for 3 days. We have now since left a box of capsules for the dishwasher and washing machine as well as cleaning products in the kitchen cabinets, so that future guests will have enough should they stay for 10 days as was your case. The apartment has 2 sets of keys, but unfortunately the previous guest had walked off with the keys and Please do accept our apologies for not having left the keys as planned, but my colleague who had the keys on him fell ill the day he was to return them. We proud ourselves on our standard of service and are usually highly rated on this so sad to know that we failed on this occassion. As way of an apology we would like to offer you a 5% discount on your next stay with our company.

We appreciate your feedback and stay with Portugal Portfolio. In regards to the elevator, we fully understand the inconvenience it caused, however the issue was sorted as soon as it was reported; we have also placed instructions on how to use the elevator to prevent future issues. We apologize for the hot water situation, however we acted on the matter as soon as possible, going out twice just to guarantee that you would all have hot water, as for the water pressure, it is being looked into.
