Hats off to Gustavo for storing our bags and arranging transportation! Central location on an upper floor with a âbeam me Scottieâ elevator. Quiet, clean, modern, with all you need in the kitchen. Highly recommend!
We were in Lisbon for 5 days and this was the ideal location for us. We enjoyed walking, walking, walking, hop on hop off - took a train from Rossio to Sintra, and many excellent restaurant choices all within walking distance. Also an excellent coffee/nata shop just outside your door.
We loved this apartment!!! The space is as pictured. The view from the windows is AMAZING. You could not be in a more convenient location to explore the city. Many main areas and attractions are within a short walk, and you are right next to bus stops and metro stations. There are a few things the host could easily improve. The check-in instructions for how to unlock the door were incorrect and it took us a while to figure it out. There was no information booklet, so nothing about the area or things like how to use the washing machine. The toilet paper stands were very tippy and the lever to open the kitchen garbage was broken. One other thing was that we found the door to enter the building standing ajar multiple times, but we never saw anything suspicious and the whole area seemed very safe at all hours.
Two couples visited Portugal for the first time. The property was located in a great location. It fit all of our needs. The property management company helped us when needed. I would certainly recommend this property and would choose it again on a return trip.
The location was in walking distance to most shops and restaurants and the train station.
The condo was clean and spacious inside. It was supplied with essentials and we were left coffee, and a few other supplies for breakfast. The entrance and stairwell were a bit run down and there was a smell of garbage.
We arrived early and were not able to leave our bags at the condo, luckily our tour guide had space in his van for us to put them until we were able to check in
I would definitely recommend and would stay here again if ever in Portugal.
I booked four nights because I knew I was landing around 3am my time and would need a bed right away. I had the information for keyless access and I had watched the video. Getting in the front door was easy using the code. But the apartment door was more difficult. The instruction page gave contact information for the owner but there was no response. I gave up and went down the street to Hotel Blue Liberdade and it was wonderful. They found a room for me right away and gave me breakfast for free - complete with a hug! I didn't say what had happened. They just seemed to recognize I was done in. Their very attractive outdoor restaurant served delicious food and we ate there twice.
After a good sleep, I found the phone number for the property management and they sent someone to sort it. It was not quite as shown in the video. I decided to stay at the hotel rather than in the apartment because I had paid for the hotel room and I didn't want to risk having trouble with lock again. My daughter arrived the next day and we stayed two nights in the apartment and loved it. It is in a wonderful location, spacious, clean and very comfortable with lovely windows and view. Once you have access there are fobs that are very easy to use.
However I paid for four nights and stayed for two. I accept that I should pay for the first night in order to have the early check in, but as I couldn't use it, I think I should be reimbursed for the second night. But who do you deal with? VRBO? The Property manager? the owner?
We loved the location, service, and apartment, and would stay again.
Only one hick-up.
Because of a toaster failure, a circuit breaker kicked, knocking out a couple of receptacles and the "WIFI"!!!
I called support and left the information but no-corrective action was taken.
When we returned to the apartment from a tour, the "WIFI" enabled door "un-" lock would not work. We called the support number and got no answer. After some frustration, and nearly going to a hotel, We found Altido's website and 24 hour reservation line - yea, someone answered. They gave us a manually entered code that opened the door.
The next day, I searched for, found, and recognized that a circuit breaker had kicked off, but I was unwilling to turn it on without authorization from the support staff. Upon getting authorization, I re-engaged the circuit breaker and all was good!!!
Had the support staff simply asked me to reset the circuit breaker when I informed them of the problem on the previous day, the problem would never have occurred.
But, let me make it clear!!!! I would stay with Altido again!! They are so professional that I am sure they will not let this kind of mis-communications happen again.
We enjoyed the stay so much we have quickly forgotten this "hick-up".
A friend and I stayed here for 5 days while on a girls trip to Lisbon and had a great time! The location is perfect with tons of natural light and great shades for sleeping. The apartment was a perfect home base for our trip!
