Situé dans des terres agricoles paisibles, la maison vous offre l'occasion de voir une ferme, de visiter les ruines du vieux château et d'admirer de nombreuses belles églises de campagne. Il est également idéal pour les vacanciers qui souhaitent une paix et une tranquillité totales, mais il n'est qu'à une courte distance en voiture de toutes les attractions locales.

Vous pouvez vous promener sur nos routes de ferme, ou faire une balade à vélo dans la région, pour entendre les récits pleins d'esprit des voisins, aussi si vous aimez étudier les étoiles, il n'y a pas de problème de pollution lumineuse dans une nuit étoilée claire que vous pouvez voir toutes les étoiles dans le ciel.

Idéalement situé, Carrigmore Farm est à seulement 45 minutes en voiture de l'aéroport de Shannon, du château de Bunratty, du château de King Johns dans la ville de Limerick et du rocher de Cashel, de l'abbaye de Holycross et du Glen of Aherlow dans le comté de Tipperary. Nous sommes à deux heures de route de Killarney - le début du Ring of Kerry, des falaises de Moher et du château de Kilkenny.

Depuis Limerick City ou Tipperary Town sur la N24

De Limerick après le village de Pallasgreen sur la N24, prendre à gauche pour Doon sur la R507 venant également de Tipperary Town, après le village d'Oola sur la N24, prendre à droite pour Doon sur la R507, continuer vers le nord sur cette route jusqu'à la quatrième à droite L5038 prenez à droite et roulez sur 1,5 km / 2. 2 km jusqu'à la prochaine à droite, prendre la route à droite en descendant la voie après le panneau du bâtiment de ferme à gauche pour Carrigmorefarm, suivre l'avenue jusqu'à la maison.

Il n'y a pas de restaurants dans le village de Doon, les pubs ne servent pas de nourriture. juste une tasse de thé ou de café avec un snack-bar.
À Doon, nous avons une épicerie / épicerie fine / magasin de carburant qui vend du pain frais tous les jours, et il y a aussi un plat à emporter appelé Doon Bites pour les plats à emporter.

Annacarthy Tea Rooms - Eir Code E34 FK63 - propose le petit déjeuner thé / café et des collations légères tous les jours sauf le lundi jusqu'à 16 heures

Sur le chemin de la maison dans la ville de Limerick ou la ville de Tipperary, vous avez le choix entre des restaurants et de plus grandes boutiques.

DANS LA MAISON:

Chauffage central au fuel, il y a des radiateurs dans chaque chambre, également dans le salon il y a une cheminée à foyer ouvert, le salon a un poêle, bois et fioul et électricité pour la maison sont inclus dans le prix.

La maison a TV / DVD / CD / et il y a aussi un accès Internet WiFi disponible gratuitement.

Il y a une option pour se détendre et profiter de vieux disques de musique.

La cuisine est entièrement équipée, avec cuisinière, réfrigérateur, bouilloire, grille-pain, grill George Foreman, micro-ondes et suffisamment de vaisselle et de couverts pour accueillir dix personnes.

La salle de bain dispose de toilettes, également d'une baignoire équipée de mains courantes, et d'une douche pour accueillir les personnes âgées, tous les articles de toilette sont fournis gratuitement. Trois des quatre chambres sont situées au rez-de-chaussée - avec la quatrième chambre dans le grenier.

Linge de maison, serviettes de toilette et de bain, torchons, sèche-cheveux sont fournis gratuitement.

Notre buanderie est située dans la cour, cela offre la possibilité de laver, sécher et repasser les vêtements, la lessive, etc. sans frais et il y a aussi une corde à linge d'extérieur.

La cour est fermée et dispose d'un grand parking sûr et sécurisé pour stationner jusqu'à 5 voitures.

Il y a une table et des chaises d'extérieur pouvant accueillir jusqu'à six personnes pour profiter du soleil couchant le soir. Une pelouse verte avec de nombreux arbustes et arbres matures est positionnée à l'avant de la maison, avec une vue exceptionnelle sur Carrigmore Rock, une caractéristique importante de la région. C'est un endroit très tranquille pour lire ou profiter des nombreux oiseaux qui fréquentent la pelouse.

À l'extérieur, la cour est sécurisée pour que les enfants puissent jouer dehors.

Des bottes en caoutchouc vous sont fournies pour vous garder au sec lorsque vous vous promenez le long de nos routes agricoles ou explorez le quartier local.

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans cette charmante petite ferme. L'accueil était chaleureux, le propriétaire passait chaque jour pour voir si tout allait bien et nous conseiller en fonction du temps. L'hébergement est charmant et tout particulièrement bien équipé, nous sommes des habitués d'abritel et nous n'avons jamais loué un hébergement aussi bien équipé, presque mieux que notre propre logement. Nous recommandons vivement.

Fascinating week at a peaceful place

We passed an unforgettable week at the old farmhouse near Doon. This house, where Tom, the owner, grew up, is very comfortable an generously equipped ( kitchen, food, timber for the stove, interesting books about farmer life in the past, Irish history sightseeing...). Not far: Cashel Castle, Waterfalls, important prehistoric sites, Limerick. Tom is full of ideas for trips in the surroundings and for local events. We enjoyed a fascinating week at a peaceful place.

Lovely, quiet getaway

We had a lovely stay in this quaint, quiet, and homey cottage. The house was a great size for our party of 5 and the views around the house were unexpected! We got some great pictures from a nearby hill of the mountains in the distance. Tina and Tom were wonderful hosts and so very kind. Tom took the time to ensure we knew how to work the fireplace and washer/dryer. Tom even kept us informed of local happenings and sights in the area! I wish we could have explored more in the immediate area, should we have the opportunity to return to Ireland, i hope we can stay again. The amenities listed were spot on and when we left the cottage for our stay in Dublin, the transition to the city noise was VERY hard. I definitely spent the last 2 nights dreaming of the quiet nights at the cottage.

This is the Ireland experience you are looking for! This place was awesome! Tom and Tina could not be a finer host!! 10Stars!! Tom will meet you and show you around this nearly 300 year old home. It is quiet and cozy and also has everything you need. 4 bedrooms, a full kitchen, dinning room, living room, fireplaces, 2 bathrooms with a great shower, washer/dryer, Great WIFI and so much more. It is situated as a good starting point to see all the popular sites in Ireland, 2.5 hours from Dublin,1.5 hrs from Galway, 1.5 hours from Cliffs of Moher, 1.5 hours from Blarney/Cork, and just over 2 hours from the start of the Ring of Kerry. This house is not in a touristy area, it is off the beaten path and there is plenty to see and do at the house. Games, books, tv and many movies, or just walk around and see the countryside. Tom even offered to take us on a few private tours to see the things only locals know about. Tom and Tina and their son Rob are so generous and gracious, they really make you feel like family and that you are home away from home. It was absolutely FANTASTIC! We will definitely book here again when we come back to Ireland.

Stay here. Well worth your money.

Easy to get to on Google maps. The hosts are there to greet you and make your stay every thing you want it to be. Tom was litterally born and raised in that house and lives nearby and very freely volunteers local info that will very much enhance your stay. Not only do u get a great house to stay in, but a personal guide on what to do and how to get there. As well as info on some local places u would never find on your own. Plenty of room for groups. On site laundry and extra bathroom facilities. Well stocked with everything including wood and coal for the 2 fire places. Stores all very well within a short drive. Local pubs a plenty. Skip the long term stay in the big cities and stay here. Exploring the region with your car is so rewarding.

Beautiful home with helpful kind hosts

The historic home was very comfortable with enough modern upgrades to keep everything going smoothly. The hosts had a wonderfully stocked kitchen and home. They were also just so helpful and kind.. we had no issues with anything while we were there. Some of our favorite moments during our 5 days there were sitting in the eating area with a cozy fire going and playing a game... laughing and snacking on amazing desserts available in the area. We would stay again anytime. The only slight negative I gave was for "neighborhood" because the roads getting there were too tiny twisty for these Americans used to. On the other hand, the views were spectacular, both on the roads there and from the house itself. We really enjoyed the bright daffodils along all the roads. Also, the birds outside all the windows were delightful.

Tom & Tina were wonderful and very accommodating hosts. A wonderfully cozy and comfortable house, great rural location, etc. Cannot reccomend Carrigmore House enough. Top notch!

What a wonderful stay and what a wonderful host!

I wanted to be in an old farmhouse in the country and experience the local life - and it couldn't have been a better fit than for me to stay at Carrigmore Farm and have Tom as my host and guide. He and Tina are just lovely - she even had staple groceries stocked and waiting for me! Tom is so funny and personable and took me on tours of the area, took me to a live Trad session at Jim O'Mills (famous!) up in the mountains and also to a pub for a live music session. He even called around to find me a turkey and cranberry dinner for my American Thanksgiving! I enjoyed heating the house mainly with the wood stove and loved all of the history of the place. The history of Carraig an Duin is fascinating and to see it out of the windows right next to the farm was so lovely! The farm is not in a tourist area and not a modern cookie cutter place - the furnishings speak of generations of the Cummins family gathered for meals in the kitchen, stories by the fireplace in the living room. What a treat to stay here - I will definitely be back! Thank you Tom and Tina!

Das Herz von Irland

Abseits der großen Straßen und der Tourismusströme ist die Carrigmore Farm ein echtes Juwel für Menschen, die einfach einen Gang runterschalten wollen und echte irische Gastfreundschaft erleben wollen. Das Haus ist mit allem (!) ausgestattet, was man brauchen könnte und hat trotzdem den Charme des rund 300-jährigen Farmhauses nicht verloren. Auch wenn es bis zur nächsten Schnellstraße 10 Minuten Fahrzeit sind, sind dutzende tolle Ziele schnell erreichbar. Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit mit Tagestouren von den Cliffs of Moher, Cork und Waterford. Der Rock of Cashel und Cahir Castel sind fast nebenan. Im Haus haben wir am Kamin gesessen, gekocht und unsere Söhne haben das schnelle WLAN genossen. ...aber... am beeindruckendsten war die Gastfreundschaft, sowohl die unserer Gastgeber, Tom und Tina Cummins, als auch in Moore's Pub in Doon.

Peaceful Ireland

Lovely house on a farm in the countryside. Starry nights, no noise, just peace and quiet. A great place to unwind. Tom was very helpful with ideas of what to do and where to go. When we arrived at night, he was there to welcome us and show us round the property. Thee was a very generous Welcome Basket too. Nothing was too much trouble for him and Tina.

GOOD CHOICE!!!

We are a group of four from Italy and we booked this farm for 6 days, from the end of July to the beginning of August. We had a really good time thanks to the courtesy, kindness and helpfulness of the owner Tom. The house is welcoming, with classic and quite dated furnishings, however it has everything you need, both for the kitchen, for the bathroom (you can use the washing machine and dryer) and for the living room in general. There are adapters for power outlets. For any need Mr. Tom is available. The house is located in the countryside, a bit isolated but still close to the town for every need. We had to rent a car because the destinations to reach were more than an hour away but we had already put it in the estimate. I would say the price is excellent. Thanks again to Mr. Tom and Tina for the welcome and for the nice chats we had together.

Lovely family farm

We loved living like the Irish on this family farm. There was plenty of space for our family of 5. The beds were comfy and the shower was powerful. There are plenty of warm towels and the kitchen is well stocked with all the things you might need. The host is very kind and knowledgeable. He shows you around and has plenty of things there to keep you entertained. My daughter loved seeing the cows each day! It was a great central location to make day trips out and about. We wish we could have stayed even longer!

Excellent in every way. We went to an Irish music night in a pub in Doon that Tom told us about that was unique and very enjoyable. The location meant we were able to see many lovely towns and countryside. The facilities could not have been bettered. There was plenty of food waiting for us together with cupboards full of things one would find in our own cupboards at home. Tom could not have been more helpful and generous and even sorted our wheelchair tyre. Tina and Tom are wonderful hosts and Carrigmore Farm was perfect for our needs and would recommend it to everybody.

Carrigmore Farm is a wonderful, clean, well set up and very welcoming holiday home

Our family of four, including two adult children, enjoyed a wonderful holiday at Carrigmore Farm. The house is an amazing an old Irish farm house which still retains it character and quirkiness while at the same time is well appointed with everything you could possible need. Tom and Tina are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed exploring the local area including the mandatory climbing of Knocgoura, and a fabulous musical night at Jim O The Mill. Carrigmore Farm is very close to many attractions in the wider Limerick area and we did lots of great day trips. Tom was a great travel advisor, giving us lots of tips and ideas for where to go. A week was not long enough! We cannot thank you enough for looking after us so well, we had an amazing time.

Wonderful, perfect for families.

Highly recommend anyone to stay here. We stayed at Carrigmore for three weeks and loved it. We have three boys (ages 8, 7, and 5) and Tom provided so many activities for the boys to do while we were at the house. Pedal go-carts, soccer balls, hurlies, totes of toys that could be played with indoors or out. Board games and puzzles, there was never a dull moment. Tom and Tina were such thoughtful hosts and were always a pleasure to talk to. The house has a lot of charm and is in such a peaceful location. Location is ideal, as you are within a few hours of so many places to visit, both tourist stuff and off the beaten path.

Wonderfull time

Tom & Tina are wonderfull people very open, Likeable and listening from start to finish. A perfect welcome. Wonderful advisers on places to visit. Their house is amazing, big, spacious, full of wonderful surprises, the children felt at home. At home, that's how we felt too.The place is really calm, no light pollution, landscapes dazed. Our stay was too short, it's always too short when you feel good. We recommend Tom & Tina's house more than 200%. Coming is loving.

Great Holiday

Wir wurden herzlich empfangen. Tom erzählte Geschichten vom Haus, so dass man jeden Raum mit seinem Blick sah und sich zu Hause fühlte. Der Kühlschrank war auch mit dem wichtigsten für den ersten Tag gefüllt. Geschlafen haben wir ausgezeichnet, wurden vom Gezwitscher der Vögel geweckt. Die Ruhe und Natur ums Haus herum sind wunderbar. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Hello, I'm Tom and I grew up at Carrigmore Farm. I am a farmer and I also do Soil and Silage Sampling during the winter time. I am married to Tina and we currently live within 100 metres of Carrigmore Farm.

Interaction with Visitors

We will be there to meet you on arrival and to show you around the house and we are happy to provide you with any advice on the surrounding areas.

I will check on you to see if I can be of any assistance and I'm happy to make recommendations of what's best to see and do depending on the weather.
