“Adorable “ is the first word that comes to mind! What a perfect renovation; great kitchen which is well equipped. All spaces are comfortable and nicely decorated. We loved visiting Blue Goose and hope to return.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was beautiful and well stocked with extra blankets and towels, treats. Really felt like the host went the extra mile to make our family feel welcome. We really appreciated the flexibility on checking out late which allowed our family to enjoy the cabin and area longer! Highly recommend

Loved our family time in your charming, modern, restored cabin with so much history and thoughtful detail! Beautiful landscaping and so many spots for connecting with each other made it feel even bigger than its footprint! We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Lovely property - beautifully decorated with lots of amenities. Nestled near the woods but close to downtown Damascus. Loved the screened-in porch for relaxing, dining and playing cards in the evening! Great to be able to travel with our dogs, too.

The cabin was clean, cozy and attractive. Though it was close to downtown the setting was tucked in nature with wildlife all around. Comfortable both indoor and outdoor spaces

We had such a great time in this cabin! Very clean. Had a lot of character. When we had questions the host got back really quickly. The window in the kitchen was beautiful. Didn’t see a bear but the nature was amazing! Thanks for sharing this great place! The Schmidt family! July 2026

It was amazing! So peaceful and very lock hosts. They thought of all the extras. They even left us snack packs for biking the trail!

An oasis! Everything about the place was great! Clean, perfect decorating, and welcome. Everything needed was thought of and available. We were close enough to the bike trail and anything needed in town. Loved our stay!

Amenities abound! Decor feel was delightfully tailored and felt like it was my own home. Goodies awaited us in the fridge. Everything you would possibly need was there.

Charming Stay!

This charming cabin was perfect for our family on our trip to VA to ride the Creeper. We loved the home's little nooks and rooms, especially the screened-in porch. The house is very cozy and well stocked. It was a comforting place to land after riding and hiking all day.

Only gave 4 stars because we never received check-in/out email and had to contact someone to get the code to the house and the fireplace pilot was not lit. I don't think the gas was turned on at all because I tried to light it. Overall the house and property were great. Very peaceful and beautiful inside and out.

We absolutely loved staying in the Blue Goode cabin! We were visiting family in Shady Valley nearby. We stayed with our family of 6, four adults and two kids. The cabin is incredibly cozy. We really enjoyed the outdoor spaces - rocking chairs on the front porch and fireplace and large dining area on the back porch. We had amazing weather and hiked at nearby parks. This cabin is so well appointed. We normally bring extra toiletries and kitchen essentials with us when staying in a VRBO, but there is no need as this place had everything covered. Extra paper towels, detergents, shampoo, etc were provided. I don’t think anything could have been better. The cabin is very homey and comfortable. We’ll be back if we get the chance! Really also enjoyed the Damascus outfitters and the Appalachian Heritage brewery in town.

I had to laugh at your comment about the kitchen essentials - like you, we usually take a lot of kitchen stuff with us on vacation so we wanted to make sure our guests have everything needed so they can do anything from basics to a full holiday feast. Happy you enjoyed the porches and were able to do some hiking and visit some of the shops in town. They've started work on the upper half of the Creeper Trail so there will be more for you to enjoy in the near future!

Couldn't have been better!!

From the moment we pulled into the driveway we were so glad to have reserved this cabin. Everything about it was as described and better. So many wonderful places to hang out, amenities galore, loved the bath and a half. We normally don't spend much time in the places we rent, but this was an exception. Being at the end of the street, above Damascus let us experience the best of both worlds. We had wildlife near the back door, bear and a possible bobcat sighting. Lots of birds, which was one thing we were there for. So well stocked, not just your usual bit of coffee and some salt and pepper. The welcome basket and gifts were over the top. We felt at home and that's the best you can ask for on vacation. My only regret is we can come back every couple of months.
