This cabin is so lovely and perfectly situated to take advantage of what this area has to offer. Grayson Highlands State Park is about 20 min, and that is where we spent the most time during the day. Coming back to this picturesque home to watch the wildlife and soak in the hot tub was a big bonus. The AC was on the fritz during on visit but we chose to go anyway rather than reschedule. The owner purchased several fans and the evenings stayed cool.
This was a perfect stay for a family and gathering with friends in the area. The location is just rightâ a beautiful mountain escape and close to the adorable town of Lansing with an awesome cidery (Molley Chompersâ highly recommended), a few restaurants and shops. Even an art studio where you can book classes (Lost Province)! Thank you to the hosts for a wonderful stay.
We had a great time on a short trip over spring break. This is a great location for access to Grayson Highlands for hiking and West Jefferson for anything else. It's about 25 min to each one. The house had everything we needed and was very quiet and peaceful.
Fourth time our group of fly fishers have stayed here. Besides the closeness of streams to fish, there are many other activities and sites to visit for non fishers. The property is always super clean and has everything you need for meal prep and cooking. Owner promptly replies to any request or question.
This is my second time staying here and just as before - it was awesome. Itâs a short 20 min drive to Grayson Highlands Park and allows for a quiet, secluded, relaxing stay away. I plan to return again next year!
This was our third stay. Itâs a great cabin just secluded enough. Owners are excellent and checked in on us after a big storm went through the area. Highly recommend.
This cabin is in a beautiful private location nestled in the hills. It had everything we needed (amenities and peace) for a mountain getaway. We'll definitely come back again!
While we spent all day Saturday, the 15th, at the Festival at Grayson Highlands State Park, we greatly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Nice kitchen for breadfasts and dinners. We enjoyed the porches and eating outdoors. Lots of bird activity. Nice quiet spot.
We really enjoyed our stay. Great time to be alone with family to have good chats. No traffic, noise, congestion of the town. Just pasture, some livestock here and there, beautiful mountain land (which is one reason I live here).
Our group keeps comlng back because we love staying here. Everyone always comment how spotless clean the cabin is. I'm sure we will return in the fall.
Three girlfriends and I stayed here for a weekend in late March. The house was immaculate and had everything we neededâa well-equipped kitchen, plenty of towels and linens, lots of firewood, and four separate beds. We enjoyed the remarkably quiet and beautiful environs. The hot tub felt amazing. We felt rejuvenated at the end of our stay. Iâd love to return for another peaceful get away.
This is now our go-to for this area; second visit here and counting. The cabin is clean and airy with hillside pastures and country views. And quiet!!! We love this spot!
Awesome house. Very clean. Great views. Lots of wildlife and privacy. Hot tub was great.
(Bring regular coffee filters not cone style, the description is wrong)
Beautiful home, I think prettier in person. Home was stocked with everything we needed. Hot tub was fantastic, home was very private and clean. Would definitely recommend to someone who wants to unplug and relax in the middle of nowhere! Awesome weekend away that was much needed.
We came for the weekend to run the Greyson highlands 1/2 marathon. The property was not just exceptionally clean, but beautiful. The hot run was clean and just what we needed after the race. The beds were so comfortable and the quality of the linens was top notch. I would come back here in a heartbeat.
We had a great stay. Everything was very clean and it was nice to have some games to play with the kids. The view is spectacular and my children loved running around on the deck and in the front yard. We enjoyed a quiet New Yearâs Eve in the hot tub after our kids went to bed and loved reading by the fireplace. Very secluded but still easy to find.
Great home in peaceful, private location. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed a float down the New River and time with family and friends. We partied till the cows came home, which was about 8:30. đ
Beautiful place, cozy and nice! Clean and well stocked. One note would be please provide tissues and a nonstick pan that you can cook eggs in, that would have been nice. Everything else perfect!!
This was our second time at this property. Just as nice as the first!! Secluded and safe location in a working farm. We were only interrupted by deer, rabbits and birds. Well stocked cabin, and only a short drive to a small town. Lots of hiking nearby at Greyson Highlands or Mt Jefferson State Park or on the hill behind the cabin. Owner is very prompt with answering any questions you may have. Highly recommend.
Spent a whole week. The house is beautiful, all photos accurate. Well designed and spacious. When at the house spent most of our time on back deck watching the cows or using the hot tub. Never turned the tv on. Bed was comfortable, lines and towels nice quality. Would definitely return and recommend to friends.
The owners must know alot about staying in cabins because they have thought of everything! This cottage is amazingly clean, seems new, quiet, and very peaceful. The master bed is comfortable and the adjoining bathroom is spacious. White towels, lots of light, smart TV, well-stocked kitchen, wrap around covered deck - all add to a relaxing time. My favorite part was eating breakfast at the outside table - early morning coffee and mountain mist. The manicured lawn and horses in connecting field just added charm. We'll be returning, next time, with my grandchildren!
