The property host is very friendly and helpful. The location is quiet and within easy walk of the beach, walking tracks, bike tracks, local hotel and general store. Great spot for a couple or small family. Kilcunda is also only 15-20 minutes away from the sites and ammenties of Philip Island and Wonthaggi. The house is clean, comfortable, new bathroom, functional kitchen. Loved our stay.

The accommodation is a small cottage. It was very clean and well appointed with cooking appliances, crockery, cutlery and linen. The hosts Lorena and Paul are lovely friendly people. They went out of their way to make our stay as good as it could be. The cottage has 2 bedrooms which is ideal for families. It is very well located being close to beaches and is about 15km from Phillip Island and Wonthaggi. I would highly recommend La Cabana by the Sea. If I go back to this area I will definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay

My Dad & I stayed for 5 nights, usually pass through Kilcunda, it was hard finding somewhere to stay during school holidays but glad I found La Cabana. Only a block from main road and easy walk to Cafe' (only place we ate) and across main road to The Bass Coast Rail Trail and steps to beach. Lorena & Paul were great hosts and made our stay very comfortable. Thank you, Diane

Very comfortable and spacious stay!

I stayed with my family in Kilkunda for 2 nights and was very pleased walking into the unit. The hosts are lovely and keep their place very well presented and clean. Beds are very comfortable also. Kilkunda is a gorgeous gem of a town and we were so close to the main st and beautiful beaches. There is lots of amazing nature to see and well worth the visit. Our stay here was very enjoyable and comfortable. Thank you Paul and Lorena.

Not a friendly host

We didnt stay in this unit as we were 2 couples travelling but aparently this home is catered only for maximum 2 adults. We did notify them before arrval but they must have missed that out. The owner wasnt pleasant in dealing with us upon arrival so we decied to leave and requested a full refund. Paul who is the owners husband finally agreed with a full tefund after stayz contacted them.

It is difficult to review this guest as the Stay was cancelled. When booking was initially made, I replied that as per the terms as outlined on Stayz with the following. Hello Jonathan. Thank you for your booking. Not sure if you realise that the accommodation has a queen bed and bunk bed because typically accommodates 2 adults and 2 children. I heard nothing back from the guest and therefore assumed this condition was understood. The guest arrived at the booking time, and I noticed that in fact there were 4 adults and a baby. I reminded the client that the booking had been made for 2 adults only and that the accommodation is designed to accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children and that it is too small to accommodate 4 adults and a baby. The client then decided to ring Stayz who advised that the client has committed a “House rules violation “and that the client would be fully refunded and required to find other accommodation. Therefore, as mentioned at start, it’s not possible to really review the client and his group and would rather say that there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the booking, number of guests nominated and number of guests arriving and intending to stay.
