Escondite is a hidden gem in the heart of Landers, immediately next to the enchanting Gubler Orchid Nursery, La Copine, Giant Rock Meeting Room and the transformative energy of the Integratron. Nestled on a sprawling 5-acre desert oasis, this home invites you through a private gate into a world of understated luxury. Inside, an open floor plan adorned with exquisite tile work, antique Navajo rugs, and elegant Kelly Wearstler light fixtures seamlessly merges with the outdoors, bathing the space in soft, natural light.

Escondite can comfortably sleep 6 guests between the two bedrooms in the primary house and the additional bedroom in the casita. All bedrooms have queen sized beds, clothing storage, patio access and premium Parachute linens.

Joshua Tree and the communities surrounding the Joshua Tree National Park include Flamingo Heights, Pioneertown, Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, and Landers. You’ll be close to everything at Escondite. –Joshua Tree National Park: 800,000 acres of mystical beauty - Joshua Tree National Park is one of the world’s most incredible natural desert treasures. Sweeping, grand in scale and populated by granite monoliths and voluptuous rock and boulder formations. This quiet land, conducive to meditation and roaming, was carved by extremes in climate - wind, rain and an ever-present, relentless sun. Diverse forms of plant life are found everywhere, but none as unique or prevalent as the park’s namesake: the Joshua tree, standing majestically across the vast topography.
–Pioneertown: Step back in time to thus rustic Old West-style village. Wander through the historic buildings, visit unique shops, catch a live music performance at Pappy & Harriets, and experience the Wild West charm.
• The Integratron: New age-y healing destination with a sound bath, originally designed by ufologist George Van Tassel with the goal of reversing the aging process.

► WORK FROM HOME: There is free, high-speed WiFi available throughout the home for any remote workers.
► FAMILY: Traveling with little ones? We’ve got you covered with a few supplies including a Pack ’n play/travel crib, children's books, toys and dinnerware, and even babysitter recommendations! / Please request in advance.
► PETS: Your dog is welcome, and there is a one-time fee of $100. Please alert us in advance. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed per booking.
Getting Around:
Many roads in the high desert are dirt, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain.
Interaction with Guests:
Our property manager, Homestead Modern, is local and has staff available from 9am-9pm.
