My daughter and I enjoyed our time at this wonderful house. It is tastefully decorated, updated and has everything you need for a great time inside and outside of the property, in town and in the park. Lovely, quiet neighborhood.
Prescott was great! Stylish and funky and full of character. Outdoor spaces are fantastic, we got to see a nearly full moon rise over the hill outside the back of the property. The pool was a relief and large enough for a normal size husband and wife and our giant 6â2 son!
This house has everything you need if exploring Joshua Tree and surrounding areas. Very close to the park - in fact you can walk out the back gate if you want. We enjoyed a fire one night and the hot tub every night enjoying the stars above.
Very comfortable house with everything we needed. The patio/pool/view is what really makes this place great. We stayed during the July 4th long weekend heat wave, but still with the shaded patio and pool we were outside much of the day and evening. The house is right up against the dramatic, rocky hills and they are teeming with wildlife. You can hook up to a cool hiking/nature trail out the back gate. And the neighborhood is super quiet. Overall, a very relaxing and restful stay.
This house was a wonderful place to return to after a day of hiking-there was even hiking right out the back door! Our proximity to the west entrance of Joshua Tree was really a plus. The house was clean and had everything we needed-even a hot tub out back to unwind and catch the starry night sky. The owner was a gem to communicate with-she answered our questions very quickly and it was clear she wanted our stay to be enjoyable for us.
This is a great place to stay when visiting Joshua Tree. With the backyard right next to nature and a wide horizon view, the location of this house is excellent.
The house is spacious and has everything you need, yet it is a bit old.
We didnât use the little pool or the hot tub
Eclectic mid century modern decor with everything you need! Small pool ticked the box for two middle school friends catching up. The outdoor patio space is divine. Short drive for groceries. Hiking literally out the back gate. All communications with owner superb. Would go back!!!!
The location of this home is perfect. We could walk out of the back gate to get to a short (two-mile) trail that is lovely for a morning walk. We were only about a ten-minute drive to the trailheads at Joshua Tree where we spent two great days hiking.
It was the home that disappointed us. The condition and cleanliness made our time there difficult. Given we were only there a few days, we just made the best of it.
The hot tub in the backyard is in a great place in the yard. We used that after the sunset and the sky was beautiful. You also back up to such a great view. Easy check-in/check-out process and when we messaged the owner, they were so quick to respond.
This property is best suited for a max of 2 couples since there are only two queen beds. The furniture could use some updating. The TV room only accommodates two people at a time. The living room is spacious, but lacks a coffee table and the two sofas are at lease ten feet apart. The spacious back yard has a large sheltered area to stay out of the sun, but could use a table for outdoor dining. The small pool is fun to cool off on a hot day. Some cousins next to the pool would help. It's on a paved road so that's a big plus. Many rentals out there are on difficult dirt roads.
This property is really amazing - perfect for adults. The backyard is gigantic and when you open the gate in the backyard, and you are literally in Joshua Tree right in the park on a trail. The hot tub is the perfect extra touch to sit in once the temperature drops at night for looking up at the incredible stars that fill the sky. 2 rooms inside the main house and 1 extra room/bath that are only accessible from the outside in the backyard. Communication with the owners was super easy and quick. The only complaint I have is when we would hang out outside at night, we would be playing music that we could not even hear inside our own house, but the neighbors would flash a very bright light at us in an effort to quiet us down. The house was very clean, modern, new, overall - a really great experience and I would definitely come back again.
We loved our stay! We are family of 3 = me (mother) and my husband and 9 year old daugher who was learning how to swim. The pool was shallow so it was perfect for her. This property was beautiful in all ways! The backyard is HUGE. We enjoyed the hike from the back door. The cactus garden is well maintained, and we saw rabbits visiting quite often. The best part was the ower who was so kind to offer us the place in such a short notice. We originally booked a different house but the house was contaminated with mouses... We were desparate to find another place to stay. We contacted the ower through Vrbo since the website does not allow to book it on the same day and we got a response in less than 5 mins. The ower was enjoying his vacation in the property but offered us the place right away. We are so grateful to his kindness and hospitality. Joshua Tree is a magical place. We'd definitely like to come back!
Thank you so much!!

The home is advertised as a three bedroom. Before we checked in Kenneth told us that the third bedroom was "under construction" and it was too late to cancel, but they would leave an air mattress in the living room. When we arrived we found the air mattress but there was no cap to keep the air in, which lead to an hour drive to buy a new air mattress and sheets. The have not responded to our attempt to contact and they are holding our security deposit.
BEWARE and AVOID.
We celebrated my mom's birthday by exploring Joshua Tree National Park. The house was perfectly located for us to conveniently drive through the park, had comfortable areas for reading and relaxing, and a great kitchen BBQ for us to make delicious meals. We loved relaxing at the house after hours of hiking and flower spotting in the park.
Nice location backed up against rock hills, kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with appliances, extra water bottles and anything one might need. A few things were not up to par - range heated so slowly we decided to do takeout, showerhead in main bath wouldn't stay in place. With a little attention from owners, this place would be excellent.
The location to Joshua Tree was great. We were able to go to the park every day of our stay. The Christmas decor was a nice touch. It was really nice to soak in the hot tub every night after hiking every day.
House was exactly as described, pool is small but nice. Jacuzzi works well although did cool down after an hour or 2 of being in it at night. All appliances work. Backyard is large with plenty of cactuses and great views. Overall very nice house and hostess nice as well.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The best part was being able to hike out the back door into the open space. We also enjoyed the hot tub very much. The architecture of house also an interesting plus.
We were excited to get to this house but when we arrived we found it to be in rough condition. Dirt and grime throughout the house with baseboards falling off walls. The outer yard was overgrown, and had not been maintained. Furniture was older and in poor condition, and the pool was dirty. The pictures are not really what the actual house was like. Very disappointing especially given the rate they are charging.
We chose to cancel our reservation and stay at a nearby Best Western and regardless the owner refused to refund any of the pre-paid nights.
Living in Santa Monica, I love escaping to the desert for peaceful relaxation. This house I fell in love with, because of the architecture and incredible views, and I'm excited to be sharing it with others.
This is a rare house for Joshua Tree, with a classic mid century modern design (found more commonly in Palm Springs), and new improvements added to give a luxurious and modern feel. It is an excellent place to unwind or gather with friends, and is truly the perfect escape destination -- for those looking to get away from the usual, or those longing to find a space where they can recharge and reinvent themselves. The house has two bedrooms two baths on the main floor, and the third downstairs room is not in use, and no one stays in it, you have the space to yourself.
The backyard is truly unique with tri-level terraces, a pizza oven and BBQ pit, a gate to the national park, and a covered veranda, making it possible to enjoy the outside of the property as much as the inside.
