The house is a really nice and cozy place to stay. It had all of the amenities of home and in a really quiet area. The host was very nice, informative and willing to accommodate. If Iâm in the area, I would definitely stay here again. I really enjoyed my month stay here and would recommend anyone to stay here.
We enjoyed our stay at the house on Holiday Beach. The owner was very prompt answering our questions. The mosquitos were bad due to the recent rains. It is located in a quiet area. We had a rabbit greet us several times when we came back from town. We had a little trouble finding the driveway entrance because the property next door was overgrown. Reflectors at the driveway would help coming in at night. We would stay here again.
This is our second year to stay here. A very clean and cozy house in a nice quiet neighborhood. Bed is very comfortable and a nice backyard for our dogs. We got to experience fireflies for the first time in our lives. Just step out the front door at about 9:00 p.m. and they are everywhere. A short drive over the bay to Rockport and you have several wonderful restaurants to choose from. The Redfish house always feels like coming home.
Overall the stay was just ok. For the price, not too bad. A bit disappointed with the furnishings. Only saw a couple towels for a 5 guest accommodation. The bed wasnât very comfortable. But did enjoy the backyard âporchâ.
Overall the space was exactly what we needed.. It had all of the basic necessities for our stay. The property manager/owner was very prompt in answering all questions and the rental process was easy. The only downside was the surrounding tall grass. We were unable to enjoy the backyard and patio areas due to overgrown grass and mosquitoes. There was also tall grass/weeds on the property that could have been better maintained.
The place perfect for family. All of us enjoy the atmosphere the amenities and just overall outstanding and reasonably priced experience. Second year and plan on doing it again next year.
My Husband and I stayed here for two weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. Listed as a "Quiet Country House" is spot on. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, nice neighbors, nice green grass back yard. The bed was very comfortable. Kitchen is stocked with all the cooking utensils you need if you like to cook on vacation! We did and there is a fresh fish market just down the road and over the bridge. And if you like to eat out don't miss Stevie Lew's for Great BBQ. And they roast their own coffee. We enjoyed our stay and will stay again!
The cabin / cottage was fine.
The inside was clean and the beds were comfortable. Good lounging space with wifi and the YouTube tv worked well.
Cabinets and closets need purging to eliminate unneeded items, old seasoning, cooking aids, unusable cookware etc to free up space for our clothes and supplies we bought a skillet as the ones provided were not useable.
Mowing the yard would have gone a long way in getting a better review it was unkept with tall grass that made the back yard unusable also note the general area has spots of grass burrs that can make it difficult on dogs.
A fishing pier is available for local residents and requires a key card for access, the card is hanging on the hallway coat rack.
Nice quiet location with friendly neighbors, if eating out is your thing only one restaurant was open this side of the bay during our stay also a couple of gas station convenience stores are close by for essentials, covid has hurt the area just like everywhere else.
We enjoyed our time in the area and would consider this listing again if weâre ever back.
This is a good cabin for fishermen and families wanting to experience the surrounding area.
My elderly mother and I stayed here. The neighborhood was quiet.
We did a lot of birdwatching on Goose Island. We even saw some Whooping Cranes!
The cabin needed a few minor repairs and the backyard was kinda wild, but it was comfortable and served our purpose.
Very quiet little beach house. This is just what me and my mom needed to relax.
I am coming back to this place. Loved the location but not the flood we survived in July 2021. Did not keep me and my mom down though. Many adventures through flooded roads and wet beaches. Highly recommend this place for a family get awayđđ»đđ.
We really enjoyed our stay at this house! Very clean, very cozy! Bed was super comfy, and washer dryer was nice addition. Convenient to copano bay fishing and all Rockport has to offer. It has everything that you need!!
Overall impressed. Nice neighborhood and neighbors. My wife hurt her back during the vacation, so we stayed in mostly except for the day at 24/7 care in Portland. We bought a drain cover and flushed the jacuzzi tub lines with bleach and my wifes back enjoyed that. It's not listed, but it's there. We pray the hurricane passes you bye and thank you for sharing your home away from home.

Nice small house about 10 miles north of Rockport, TX. Perfect for fishermen. My family lives in Portland, TX which is 30 miles from this house, so it was a little inconvenient for me--but that's my problem. This house has 3 Roku TV's which are very convenient. The beds were not the most comfortable, but I was there for almost 3 months. Jason seems like a really a good fellow, and he provided everything as listed on VRBO.
I recommend this place. Very friendly neighbor across the street named Jack.
