Neighborhood
The vibrant Richmond is the perfect neighbourhood to call home while visiting Melbourne. Located just 3kms east of the CBD with an abundance of public transport options, it is the most convenient/central inner city suburb if you're looking to explore all of Melbourne.
Richmond has no shortage of things to keep you entertained. Bridge Road and Swan Street are teaming with fantastic restaurants, cafes and nightlife. If visiting Melbourne for a sporting event - the MCG and the Sports and Entertainment Precinct are all within minutes.
There really is something for everyone in this diverse neighbourhood. Catch the footy at the famous MCG or the Aussie open at Rod Laver, explore Little Saigon/Victoria Street, eat at one of the city's top-rated restaurants and head for a night out on Swan Street.
Transit
Richmond is a great neighbourhood to explore on foot though there are many options for public transport including trams and trains within walking distance. CBD is just 3kms so hope on a tram and you're there within 10 minutes!
Trams: 12 and 109 on Victoria Street, 78 on Church Street, 48 and 75 on Bridge Road and 70 on Swan Street.
Trains: West Richmond Station in walking distance. Other train stations in including Richmond Station, Burnley, East Richmond and North Richmond.
Ride sharing services such as Uber, Ola and Didi are also readily available.
