Petite cuisine avec zone adjacente à manger pour sept, planchers en bois stratifié et salon confortable avec rond, table en verre pour profiter des jeux familiaux. Catalina as usual never fails to present lasting memories and fun times. Home was stellar and is an excellent place for families to vacation, very clean with lots of space.

Great location! You can walk everywhere in town and to the ferry in 5mins! Unit was clean & well kept. We can’t wait to come back!

Cute, clean, and close to everything

Brought my grown children out to Catalina for a family reunion, and this little cottage was our 'home base', and very comfortable for five of us to sleep, eat, play games, and explore the island.

Perfect house if you have kids because it was walking distance to everything, restaurans, the beach and Vons max 5 minutes away. The backyard was great, at nights we sat outside. My first time in Catalina and let me tell you I'm definitely going back and hopefully I can stay at the same house again. I mean everything!

Pro and Cons

Location was excellent if you are looking for proximity to the downtown activities and restaurants. Be aware it is on the recommended golf cart route, so noisy. Rental agency was very available and responsive when we found we lacked wifi. Home was very poorly provisioned. Old, worn out cooking equipment, lacked many basics, most towels more like thin rags, no patio chairs to use on the very unkempt patio, etc. Would not stay again.

Stay while doing the BZJones hike

Gale warnings on Sunday cancelled all boats. The landlord gave us a 50% discount on the VRBO listing for the extra night. A definite comebacker. Puzzles, videos, books, Oven and full size refrigerator. Easy walking distance to shuttles, Vons and beach. Recommend Highly. Watch for email from owner requesting credit card to get lockbox number. Small snag. our fault.

New floors for the win!!!

We have actually stayed at this beach house years ago. So we thought knew what it would be like this year. Boy were we wrong… We walked in to brand new floors which absolutely was a game changer. The house felt cleaner, brighter & overall looked modern. The kitchen has everything you need. This Beach House is a 10 out of 10 .

Great spot right in town.

This house is beautiful inside and out. It's very close to everything Avalon has to offer. The check-in and check-out processes were simple and quick. The kitchen was well kitted with utensils, blender and coffee pot. Be aware that there is one queen bed and 2 bedrooms have twin-size bunkbeds. It could be a tight squeeze for a tall family. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would stay here again.

First experience

I use VRBO to get this property and this is first time I booked rental home. This is my first impression about this property. Pro Location, Location, Location closer to the Beach, restaurants, and market(Vons) Con no washer use(even though the washer is onsite) only provide 2 towel per person.(Management said 2 is enough for 3days. I guess they don't shower after they swim in the ocean) Only 6 beds on site(We have 8 people so 2 have to sleep on the floor and house is not that big about 1200sqft. max) They don't answer the texting, you have to call when you ask something. FYI Check out time is 10 o'clock(It is on their website but who use hotel more often can confuse check out time is 11am like me) On the check out date, the clean crew team knock on the door on 10:02. So prepare yourself to get out the house before 10 o'clock.

5 minute walk to bars and shops, grocery store

The location of this property is great - A short walk to the grocery store, bars, and shops. The house is quaint, and can sleep 5-8 people. Catalina Island Vacation Rentals were great, once I was able to communicate with them. In the beginning, I had questions about the Commitment of Respect contract they wanted me to execute, and their contact number wasn't in any of the communication. I tried to email them with no success, and the number I found on google only allowed to leave messages. Once I had a contact and number to reach someone live, everything was sorted out, and they were very responsive during our stay. The TV and wifi were down when we arrived, and one text message to them resolved it. They were even able to let us check in early so that we can drop off our belongings and explore the island. Upon confirmation that check out was complete and there were no issues, I asked them to destroy the credit card and ID information they had on file, and they were able to accomodate. I would definitely use CIVR again!

Perfect Spot

Everything was exactly as we expected it, based on the listing. Communication was easy, the place itself was what we needed. Walking distance to everything we wanted to do and to a grocery store so we weren't eating out for every meal. Very easy to check in and check out and ask a few questions along the way. I would absolutely stay here again if the opportunity came up.
