Welcome to 339 Claressa – Avalon Home

This beautiful two bedroom, two bathroom home was recently remodeled and refurbished and is located walking distance from the beach, grocery store, restaurants and shops.
Living area features great light and modern amenities perfect for your family or group of friends island getaway.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed, and the 2nd bedroom has Deluxe Bunk Beds (Queenbed on the bottom and Twin XL on top).

The kitchen has brushed stainless appliances, coffee bar and this restored home is very inviting. WIFI is also included. 339CL

This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2-night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3-night minimum mid-June through Labor Day)

We had a wonderful stay at this Catalina home! Our three kids loved the bunk bed setup, and we appreciated being able to easily walk to all of our activities.At the end of each busy day, this house was the perfect place to relax and recharge. We’re certain we’ll be back and are so thankful this home is available as an option for traveling families!

Sweet Catalina House

This property is perfect for a family weekend away. The web description is very accurate, so you can feel comfortable that the home will be "as advertised" upon arrival. It's super cute and conveniently located -- definitely recommend.

There were only two bad things about this place; one was the master bedroom bed. It was miserably uncomfortable. It is so bad that I would not book this place again unless it were replaced. The other is the smaller bathroom needs a new shower head. It is very difficult to shower in there. This place could be so much better if these two things were corrected. It has a fabulous location, it is clean and comfortable in the seating arrangement.

Perfect for a family of four

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The house is cozy, clean, and conveniently located. The kitchen was well a-pointed, and the bedrooms were comfortable (our kids loved the bunkbed). Check in and out were both easy and quick. We'd definitely stay here again, and I completely recommend it for those traveling with children.

Cute, convenient cottage - one awkward feature

Loved our Thanksgiving in Catalina! The location was very convenient for ferry arrival and departure and for most of our activities - dining, golf cart rental, mini-golf, and an escape room. It was a longer walk or bus ride to ziplining and hiking trails. A little noisy (lots of cart traffic on the street) for sitting on the outside patio, but not when inside. Well-stocked kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and a pleasing aesthetic. Awkward feature: the pocket door from the master bedroom into the en suite bathroom does not close (bolted in open position), which reduced privacy and also let a lot of light into the sleeping area in the morning. We had some trouble with the living room TV and didn't get a response from the property manager when we texted about it, but just used the 2 other TVs in the bedrooms. Overall, I recommend this rental - will be perfect if they repair the pocket door!

Satisfied

We had a positive experience overall staying at this property. The house itself is decorated tastefully and was very clean. The location is fairly close walking distance to all the restaurants in the main area. It was well stocked with everything we needed. The only two complaints we had were the property management outside of emergencies is only available Monday through Friday 9:00 to 5:00 so questions we had about a few minor things were not answered. Also the bed was excruciatingly uncomfortable in the main bedroom. We struggled sleeping on it for three nights. Overall we had a fun time!

Beautiful home! The master bedroom has a king bed and a private bath. The second bedroom has a full size lower bunk and a single bed on the top bunk and a private bathroom. There is a fold out couch in the living room. There is central a/c. We made reservations for a week next year too.

What a great place to spend the weekend for my daughter’s birthday. The house was lovely, conveniently located, and a huge plus to have the kitchen for breakfast and snacks.

Cute, updated & close to town

This 2 bedroom 2 bath for 5 of us. It is an older house, but it’s obvious that they have taken care of it and have done some updates. The decor was beachy modern cute, the kitchen has updated appliances and the bathrooms were clean. We could easily walk wherever we wanted to go. Communicating with the hosts was easy. I’d stay again!

Catalina Island weekend getaway

Terrific location close to center of Catalina Island and around corner from supermarket. Was perfect size for the 4 of us. House was in great condition with updated appliances. Highly recommend it for a getaway stay in Catalina Island.

Varied activities in Catalina

The family spent four days enjoying the various things to do on the island. We rented a golf cart for six and saw the major locations on the island. We enjoyed water front attractions including parasailing. The rental of water gear allowed an enjoyable day of snorkeling at the two harbors. When we were not kayaking we were shopping or dining. We filled the four days with fun, all near the rental.

Great Stay!

Great stay, clean property. We stayed here for a Bachelorette party and it was walking distance to everything in Avalon, the longest walk was 20 minutes to Descanto Beach Club. Good size for 6 people and plenty of places to sleep. Having 2 full bathrooms as well as good air circulation in the home was a plus as well.

Great place and location

Everything was clean. Nicely remodeled place that had everything we needed. Do not rent if you have a service animal - it wasn’t listed in the description that they aren’t allowed - so my brother had to go without his service animal.

This was a beautiful home with special touches, only a couple blocks from the ocean. We really enjoyed the space and there was plenty of room for everyone. I really wish we had more time to enjoy it!

Cute upgraded cozy home

This was a cute comfortable home on Clarissa Ave which is very close to the boat terminal. It’s far enough away from the beach so there’s not much ambient noise at night and you can sleep comfortably. Appreciated the little touches like coffee bar, kitchen well stocked and even some plastic bags if needed. Extra fuzzy blankets came in handy at night for movie night. Overall we enjoyed our stay

Awesome Place!

The house is very clean cute and a short walk to town. The rental was well equipped with necessary items needed during our stay. We had an issue with the internet but the staff did a great job at attempting to fix the problem. Our family rented several houses on this street for our mini vayk but this one was the best!

Great getaway

The overall experience was great. Catalina Island Vacation Rentals was a great booking agency to work with. We did have trouble with wi-fi the first day; fortunately, it was solved at the end of the day. The beds could be a little comfier, but that is my preference. I would come back again.

Great property but Management unresponsive

I would have loved to left a 5 star review as the property was just what we were looking for our family. I was willing to look past the fact that when we arrived we found hairs in the bedding and had to clean the sheets, the double bed was extremely hard, and the night light above the master bed on the wall fell on my wife’s head in the middle of the night. What irritated me was that when we called the management company because the WiFi did not work and the front TV cable would not work they apologized, promise they would send someone out to look and never did. Too bad because this house was well laid out and in a great spot. Rest of the house was very clean and I feel like we do have high standards. We go to Catalina all the time and I had hoped we found a great spot but unfortunately we did not.

Clean and efficient home

We had three children ages 12-15 with us. We felt a bit tight at times but who doesn’t on most vacations? This kitchen was so well stocked, including seasons, oils, baggies, foil, etc. We had problem with the blow up mattress on the fold out as it had a slow leak and property management stated that they would take care of it immediately. Easy locations to walk everywhere.

Great house. Totally new and clean. We will book again for sure

The house is small, but everything is prefect. Very well designed and thought out. Great location on the flats. I would not have more than 4 people in the house (we had 3). I didn’t have a chance to cook or do laundry, but the kitchen is very nice. It is a wonderful spot in Avalon!
