Clean comfortable property, close to attractions. Host provided a lovely bottle of wine and message as welcome gift. Walkable to market, wine store and some restaurants.
This is a very charming house in a lovely neighborhood and a good location for Vancouver activities. The house is well equipped, comfortably furnished and we felt very welcome. Good easy parking, nice shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. We will definitely be using it again for our next Vancouver visit.
My wife and I spent a long weekend in Vancouver for the Laver Cup tennis tournament, and the home was comfortable and located in a nice quiet neighborhood, within easy walking distance of restaurants, a small market, and other stores. Plus, it was an easy Uber ride to downtown, Stanley Park, and other attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property! Plus, the ownerâs Welcome Packet was by far the most thorough that weâve seen in a VRBO home⊠it left us with almost no questions.
Laurena was a great host, good communication, generous wine and coffee beans, excellent instructions. Kitchen was well-appointed; bed, soaking tub and shower all comfy and spacious. Stairs in this older home were quite narrow for hauling suitcases up, but doable. Despite the house fronting on noisy Dunbar street, windows were super-well insulated, preserving quiet inside. Good location overall with a nice shops - esp. Stong's fab grocery! - and quiet, tree-lined residential area for walking. Overall, a great place in beautiful residential Vancouver. Laurena was wonderful!
We had wonderful time in Vancouver and this property was perfect for us. The house is in a great neighborhood walking distance to a nice grocery store and other stores and restaurants. We did a lot of day trips and the location was great for it. The place looks exactly as listed. Laurena was very responsive. We enjoyed the coffee and a bottle of wine that she left for us.
The downstairs bathroom is a bit impractical though. Taking shower in the cute tub is a bit hard as there is no place to put your shampoo or conditioner. We ended up using the upstairs shower instead. That one is nicely renovated with a lot of space.
Also, be aware where you park. In the US we have red curbs where you are not supposed to park, but this is not the case in Canada. You have to know that you can't park within 6 meters of the crossing. I got a hefty ticket parking too close to the crossing. Also we found out that Vancouver is known for parking tickets. You have to pay everywhere. The Stanley Park does not have any free places to park. Even when you go to a restaurant in the park, you have to pay for parking and it's not cheap. There is also a lot of construction going on in the City right now, but it's still a beautiful place to visit. I highly recommend it.
