We had a lovely time in this East San Roque home. We found it to be beautifully furnished, quiet, and very well maintained, with easy access to different parts of the city. The owner was very helpful and responsive.
Our stay was amazing. Sheri was very communicative before, during and after our stay even keeping us updated as to work being performed by the HOA on other buildings. The home is immaculate and better equipped than any other VRBO property we have stayed at. The location cannot be better, 10 minutes from downtown or to the beach. Amazing place.
it is a very well equipped beautifully furnished very bright space and gracious host.
If we were not moving to SB we would want to come back here year after year.
This was our second stay in the casita. We returned because of how much we liked the place - we appreciated how peaceful the location and house was, liked the fact the second bedroom also worked well as a study, and made good use this time of the swimming pool. The patio was also a very pleasant spot to sit for meals and reading. We found the house to be very well maintained, and well equipped for everyday living, and found the host to be responsive and helpful. This is one of the nicest rental places we've stayed in.
We stayed for one month last year and two months this year. Sheriâs place is set up beautifully for a stay in Santa Barbara. Her place is tastefully decorated, her kitchen is supplied with the essentials and more, and the location is wonderful. She is a lovely and welcoming host. We loved our nights by the fire in San Roque. Thank you again, Sheri!
We wanted to rent closer to our kids and grandkids than we had been doing the past 5 years. Sheriâs place was absolutely beautiful, VERY clean, well stocked and generally a true home away from home! We arrived late in the evening and thought weâd drop off our luggage and go hit the grocery store, but Sheri had left us coffee, wine, beer and other breakfast items. Such a wonderful welcome! The first thing we had to do (as young grandchildren would be visiting) is to put the beautiful, but breakable, decor out of reach. We had a wonderful month of November, enjoying many nights by the fireplace ! As I cooked for Thanksgiving, there was nothing I wanted for in terms of kitchen equipment. San Roque is a wonderful and walkable neighborhood. Restaurants, great coffee and grocery stores are all close by. We had a minor situation or two come up and Sheri was attentive and right on it. She was also very gracious when we spilled on a pillow and ruined it. Weâve already reserved our spot for next year and hope to return many times. EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!!!! Thank you, Sheri!
The property was great for my wife and me. The home was big enough to be comfortable for us but had a wonderful cozy feel. Our adult daughter came to stay with us for a week and the secondary office/bedroom stepped up to meet the additional sleeping requirement. The kitchen was very nice and one of the best stocked we have ever run across.
Location was a couple of miles west of downtown but that didn't matter because most of the commercial shopping and daily restaurants were within walking/short drive distance from the condo's location. Four great breakfast joints and the best Mexican restaurant we have ever been too (which is saying a lot because we live in Phoenix) as well as three grocery stores. Given its proximity to the beaches, downtown and shopping we thought the location just about perfect.
I used the buses a great deal and found them to be cheap, clean and efficient. Walking to and from downtown was every other day exercise and there were FAR more dedicated bike lanes that can be used to get around on your bike safely. Before I went, I was concerned about having safe places to ride but after I got there, I had no trouble finding routes where I could ride 15 to 20 miles without concern two to three times a week.
We had a great stay and Ms. Mobley was a very thoughtful host.
My husband and I loved Sheriâs place and truly did not want to leave!
She has an amazingly stylish and comfortable place that felt like home from the minute we arrived. All of the amenities needed for a long term stay were present, such as a stocked kitchen and a washer/dryer. We also loved the outdoor space for grilling and relaxing after the day.
The location itself was also great! Close enough to Lower State for tourist attractions, but far enough away for peace and quiet. We loved taking walks to the Mission, Natural History Museum, and strolling past the beautiful homes of San Roque.
We will definitely be back again soon!
Everything about our experience staying at Sheri's gorgeously appointed, lovely accommodation was superb. Every detail was so thoughtfully attended to, I cannot think of anything one might need that wasn't anticipated by the host. And any questions we may have had were immediately and well responded to. Stay here, you will LOVE it! Kathryn ,from Rockport,MA.
Very well supplied and designed unit. In a senior condo complex, but quiet, all one level casitas surrounded by gardens. Off road parking right outside the unit, (a rare thing in SB.) Can walk to the Nat. History. museum, the Mission, a drug store, Trader Joeâs, discount grocery and restaurants.
Has a nice sunny patio with lovely views of the mountains. Not best for children or if you want to be near beach. Seasonal complex pool. Very clean. Wonderful owner. Great place!
This quiet neighborhood is perfect for an extended stay for a couple. The gem of a house is the best we have stayed in the last eight vacations. Nothing is lacking in the kitchen, there is a lovely patio with garden that is well cared for, and everything is in good condition and so clean. Shari is a great hostess, on the spot with anything we asked for. If we didn't want to drive, a short walk got us to the bus stop and a quick ride into downtown S.B. And you can't beat an orange tree in the front yard!
1962 post & beam architecture in quiet single-story condo complex in center of Santa Barbara near hiking trials, parks, stores, services and restaurants. All walkable. Santa Barbara made the 2018 Conde Nast Traveler List of Best Small Cities https://www.cntraveler.com/gallery/best-cities-us
Oh so quiet with patio views of mountains and a mission-style bell tower among the trees. Night time sky views under a canopy of stars. Well-appointed interior with mid century modern sensibility. Sun-drenched mornings in the kitchen and dining room. Easy access from parking to condo. Walkable to Mission, Rose Garden, Natural History Museum, and downtown Santa Barbara. At the center of both old and new Santa Barbara, the American Riviera.
