Rockaway Beach, home away from home

We loved staying here. The home was clean with a lot of room. The home is in a quiet location . It was an easy walk to the beach. We enjoyed using the fire pit at night too. Definitely would stay here again.

Rocktopus was great place for family.

Very clean and spacious house for our family gathering. Fun for the kids. Short walk right down into the middle of town and the beach. Guest contact was excellent and responsive.

Rockaway Stay

We LOVE this house this is our second time staying here. It is very spacious and a quick walk to anything you may want/need. Very clean. My only ask would be to have the deck cleaned and or vacuumed to get rid of the cob webs/spiders. Other than that it is perfect!

Rockaway was mid distance to everything we wanted to do. Our Rockaway VRBO was perfect for relaxing and enjoying each other. The home was well stocked with all necessities. Would highly recommend.

Large Beautiful Home!

We stayed for New Years Eve and had a blast. This home can easily accommodate adults and kids. The house is equipped with everyone you need! We loved the 2 separate living spaces, super comfy master bed and super clean The main strip is an easy 5 minute walk to all the restaurants, shops and beach. Can't wait to return in April!

Beautiful House - Great Location

I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Rockaway Beach. The house was both charming and spacious. There is plenty of room for everyone to be able to have their own space if wanted, while also having cozy living areas that brings everyone together for movies, games, and eating. Being just a short walk from shops and the beach was ideal. We parked our car and didn't use it the entire weekend. The home is clean and well-kept and had additional seaside charm that made it special. I appreciated having a fully functioning kitchen stocked with everything needed to cook meals if we wanted to. A bonus was having a second living room downstairs for tv watching and games. We will definitely be staying here again!

Perfect for our family

We love staying here! It's the prefect size for our family, with plenty of room for everyone. The house is well furnished and the beds are comfortable. We appreciate the pack 'n' play, toys and books. It's so helpful to not have to pack that stuff. Most rentals say that their kitchen is fully stocked, but there are only steak knives to prep food and one frying pan. That's not the case here. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and then some. Rockaway is a great little town and this house is close to it all. I highly recommend taking the train tour. We will continue to stay at this house whenever we can.

Excellent experience at the Rocktopus Retreat!

This house is the perfect amount of comfortable amenities and character. They thought of every detail, the kitchen is well stocked, the beds are cozy, there is fun decor and comfortable furniture. The place is bright, clean and roomy. This is a lovely place to stay as a family, they have a nice selection of toys and books. There is also a pleasant and safe playroom for the kids and separate cozy living room for the adults. The house is an easy short walk to shops and the ocean. The hosts provided bikes and a wagon which made enjoying Rockaway even easier. I love the guestbook too- thorough, funny and chock full of ideas for a great coastal visit. The hosts were responsive and friendly and made check-in and check-out easy. We loved our visit to the Rocktopus Retreat and would absolutely return!

Sleeps 10, but some of the beds are for kids

We (a group of 8 adults) loved the house and the location. It had a lot of unexpected amenities (firewood, musical instruments, lots of blankets). I don't know if I misread the description, but I know it said the house sleeps 10. When I read the check-in book, it indicated that it comfortably sleeps 6 adults, maximum 8, and the rest of the beds are for kids. Just be aware that the bedroom in the basement sleeps up to 4, but it's kind of a triple bunk bed situation with one larger mattress. The one recommendation I would make to the host is to switch to a mesh WiFi router. The signal was pretty spotty in the basement.
