The Wonderland Cottage

A scenic 2.5-hour drive from the GTA! A perfect couples retreat or family vacation destination! Our 4-season cottage was built in 2018. The building is elevated and perched proudly to take advantage of the expansive long lake views. If you are looking for privacy, tranquillity & relaxation, look no further!

The space

The building features an open-concept layout with a cathedral ceiling - the interior is flooded with natural daylight to make for a light, easy & breezy stay. A full kitchen fits 6 adult guests comfortably, and it’s fully equipped with all kinds of appliances & utensils needed to create a delicious meal to share with family and friends. The Wonderland cottage is great for little kids – there is an air hockey table on the lower floor, and you will find a NASA :) telescope for stargazing and a karaoke on the main floor.

There's plenty of seating area to enjoy your time inside. A 50-inch 4K UHD Smart TV with complimentary access to Disney Plus and Netflix is available for you. We also provide high-speed Wi-Fi access.

The Wonderland cottage features 3 bedrooms with comfortable queen-size beds – all linens & towels are provided with compliments. There is a pull-out sofa bed on the main floor.

There are two full bathrooms. We also have a full washer and dryer located on the main floor.

You will find two fire pits outside, perfect for roasting marshmallows on a cool evening and a gas barbeque to craft your meals.

Other things to note

2 acres of private land. Off a quiet cottage road, nestled amongst the trees. The whole property is yours. Just come and enjoy.

This getaway is packed with outdoor activities for everyone! We will send you the list of our favourite things to do in the area with our welcome package. Cross-country skiing, skating, hiking, dog sledding, visiting local breweries and much more!

Our cottage is equipped with one of the most energy-efficient HVAC systems to keep you warm and cozy – you will enjoy the warmth of the place the moment you arrive. The temperature inside can be controlled with a Nest thermostat.

Our home is great to leave it all behind and build great memories!

No problems with any appliance, and plumbing and heating were top notch. My previous two vrbos required me to fix heating and plumbing.

A lovely relaxing home!

This property has a great view of the lake and it’s absolutely gorgeous in the fall. We stayed with my husband, two teens, and old beagle. The property is close to town for convenience and offers comfy beds and a hot tub! It was well suited to our family and we’d be happy to stay again.

Wonderland cottage vacation

A very nice modern cottage in a quiet area. Pool was nice on hot days and hot tube was a bonus at night. Driveway was a little steep but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Wonderland Lake House

We were able to book this Beautiful Cottage so quickly because the owners are very responsive. Everything was extra clean very comfortable especially the sofa it was hard not to snooze 💤 . The grounds were lovely deer came each day for a visit. The morning sun early morning and then in the back gardens until sundown. Close to Haliburton buzzing centre and then in the highlands in less than 20 minutes. The cottage has Everthing, well stocked and all new “stuff”. Comfy beds and great bathrooms. Thank you for a great stay and experience.

Wonderful Cottage Getaway

Communication from the host from booking to check-out was superb, and they were quick to respond during our stay. The property was lovely, with an above ground pool and hot tub, and cottage stocked with games and everything you need for making meals during your stay. The area is quiet and private, and while it’s not directly on the water, there is lots to do within a short drive. Overall a great stay!

amazing escape from the city

It is a picturesque cottage with everything perfectly maintained. There was a great view of the lake and excellent lighting; and a forest behind the cottage. Foosball and air hockey tables in basement were great fun as was the hot tub which is on a large deck. Barbecue is conveniently near to sliding doors of cottage on a balcony. Bedrooms are spacious. Secluded, but only a brief drive to top grocery store and conveniences.

Great little getaway

We booked a last minute getaway to Serge’s cottage and were very happy we did. The property had space for our toddler and dogs to explore and the views were lovely. The place was very clean and Serge was very responsive and helpful.

Wonderful Wonderland

Lovely spacious home close to downtown Haliburton. Serge was lovely to communicate with. The home was clean, bright and comfy. Beautiful view of the lake from the spacious deck. We were there in the winter, but would love to spend time in the summer relaxing on the front deck.

Reunion getaway

A beautiful, quiet spot tucked into the Canadian Shield. The house was equipped with everything you needed and accomodated my small children (highchair, baby gate, small outdoor chairs, etc) and was safe for my baby to explore. My 3-yr-old had a wonderful time exploring, especially the various boulders on the property. A short drive away you find all the amenities you need as well as an impressive sculpture trail that was a highlight of our trip. The hot tub was lovely and back patio was a great place to spend time. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms were quiet for little ones. Serge was very responsive and helpful. Check-out tasks were a breeze. Would love to come back again and stay longer!

Fantastic family getaway

We booked this as a halfway point between extended family and it was such a great getaway. Pool was nice to have on hotter days, beach in Minden was a nice water access point not too far away. Serge was a quick message away and very responsive.

Great winter getaway

Serge’s place was perfect for our family of 4 adults and 4 little kids. We were learning to ski at Sir Sam’s nearby. The big open family room/kitchen is a beautiful place to hang out and very functional. We were happy to see there was a baby gate and some games.

Christmas Getaway

Our family was looking for a space to celebrate Christmas together. The Wonderland Cottage has high vaulted ceilings with tons of natural light and all these little elements that when tied together bring for a special experience. Our family stayed during the snow squall/blizzard and the host was really accommodating. He really went out of his way to make sure that we had a trouble-free experience.
